El Mariachi

This mexican restaurant has the tastiest food and their customer service is friendly. I’ve eaten there a few times and the meals were all on point. The steak burrito, beef enchilada, refried pinto beans and rice, chips and salsa were all delicious and well spiced. I’m glad we have a restaurant on Ogeechee that is holding it down.

Our local joint. Good spicy salsa. Wonderfully friendly staff. They stay pretty busy but food is quick. May not be a Cantina atmosphere but we like them and have eaten there over the past 2 years.

I would have give this one star, but our server was so incredibly nice and attentive. I have to agree with other reviews, the food is lackluster and my margarita was a strange color of lime green. It tastes ok, but the color was off putting

No bueno. All the food is extremely bland… I mean, take a hard taco shell, grill some hamburger without any seasoning, put it in the shell, throw a little american or white Velveeta cheese to melt on top and that’s what you get… very disappointing as there r no Mexican restaurant s real close

If I could give it no stars I would. Service was lackluster and the food was vile. A beef taco consists of ground beef that is so ground its almost a paste. It’s topped with what can best be described as white Velveeta and wilted, brown lettuce. Want tomatoes? Those cost extra. The chips are obviously out of a bag and microwaved. They have a large staff… of unsmiling, unfriendly and unhelpful servers. Stay away, this place is gross. Worst Mexican restaurant ever.

Wow, this is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had (although I may be biased since I’m from Texas). I got the soft taco and tamale 2 entrée combo. The soft taco was literally just ground beef, lettuce, and cheese, and it tasted so fake. The tamale tasted like a frozen TV dinner or something but worse, and it looked like a giant cylinder covered in brown sauce. Chips were stale. Salsa was alright.

I hate writing bad reviews (but I hate eating in bad restaurants even more :)
The waitress we had was cheerful and entertaining, and that is why I am giving them two stars, instead of one.
Because I read the reviews before eating, my husband and I were very careful about what we ordered. He had the Grilled Shrimp Salad and I had the San Jose Chicken Salad (which was salad with grilled chicken). The salad was only lettuce with a little cheese, sour cream & guacamole, no other veggies, very plain. The guacamole was fresh, which is hard for some Mexican restaurants, but nothing added to the avocado but salt. Both salads were terribly bland.
The people we were with eat here all the time, so they really like it, but just looking at their plates, I could see 1) blandness all around, 2) no extras like Pico de Gallo, and 3) very small portions compared to most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to.
Lackluster and pricey.

It’s gotten better compared to a few years ago when I first tried them. Live in the complex across the street so my husband and I became regulars due to convenience and frequent Mexican cravings. We find the service is always good, but perhaps that’s because they see us often. The food is comparable to most of the tex-​mex joints in town, but given the option I’d choose Jalapenos. I give it a 3 because my husband loves it.

Weak service, no free chips and salsa. Expensive.

$ 8.99 for a large draft Dos Equis!?! I wonder what a shot of Patron costs?
Jalapeño-​less nachos. Care-​less service.
