Midtown Deli & Bagel Shop

AWFUL DONT COME HERE. I demanded a refund for a terrible meatball sub and customer service challenged girl behind the counter who couldn’t even pull herself away from her conversations to greet me refunded me the wrong amount. So now I’ve been charged 42.00 dollars for a sandwich I never ate and I drove back down here to dispute the fact that my refund never came through. I’m being treated like I’m untrustworthy after this restaurants series of mistakes. The manager or owner has no idea what she’s doing and again the customer service is just terrible. Go anywhere else

Best bagel I have ever had and the Chuck Norris sandwich is a must try. Better than any breakfast place in savannah by far

This place is awesome. Some of the best sandwiches i’ve every had. They also have a Lox Smoked Salmon Platter that is wonderful. Would recommend for anyone.

First time here and I’m a little sad I didn’t stop by sooner. I ordered the Lady Liberty (French Dip) and made it a combo. The sandwich itself was amazing and huge, the side of potato salad was ok, nothing special. The staff was great and very much on top of people’s orders as people just kept coming in. I will be coming back to try the breakfast out and for another sandwich!

Service is friendly and quick. Had the Chuck Norris for lunch and it was amazing. You want a good hot sandwich? Eat it.
Girlfriend got the Rockefeller and was exclaiming how good it was through mouthfuls.
This place is legit. Even with the lunch rush were were in and out in less than 10 min.

I wish this place was open for longer hours! The best bagels and sandwiches ever! You basically can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

I have been coming here for years when I come to town. It’s New York style deli with the best bagels and sandwiches in Savannah. I would recommend the Broadway or Midtown.

This is an amazing NY style deli located right in Savannah. The meats and breads could not be any better. I also had the daily potato soup and it was so fresh and chunky… so filling. Very happy to have found this place and I will be returning!

My first time here and I am more than impressed. Usually I’ve found that the mom and pop places that don’t pay a lot of attention to the décor and leave most of their energy to the food is a monumentally better experience. The mural on the wall is a lovely touch though and the atmosphere is very much like a no nonsense deli. Very clean. I got the Lox bagel and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I got it on a toasted sesame bagel, but you get your choice. It’s cream cheese, capers and Lox smoked salmon on the bagel of your choice and it comes with an optional lettuce, tomato and onion but honestly plain really holds its own and I prefer it that way. The cannoli I had was also top notch. The filling inside was so smooth and light! Service was kind and it doesn’t break the bank. Great place to sit by yourself or bring a group. Will be a patron for as long as I live in this area.

Very good deli… better than any other sandwich shop in town for sure. Boarshead meats and healthy heapings makes these sandwiches top notch. Why would anyone go to a subway or somewhere similar when you have these delicious creations. I ate here twice while on business and had the Cuban and a Club. Cuban was delicious with nice sized chunks of pork, but I really liked the Club. Be warned they use spicy mustard on the sandwiches as a norm and do not tell you… in case you aren’t into the brown mustards.

I love coming here. It’s a great environment, and everyone is so nice .

Very nice little deli. I was a little surprised at the $ 11 price tag until I saw my sandwich! I ordered the Bronx combo with potato salad — I ate the first half for lunch and the second for dinner! Good food, friendly staff, lots of locals.

We came here for breakfast to avoid the usual chains that blanket the region and unfortunately weren’t impressed as so many others were. Being a traveler if you’ve been to any of the country’s chains, even places like Atlanta Bread and Panera, these bagels don’t taste anywhere near as fresh. In fact, if you’re from the West Coast and on vacation in Savannah and are accustomed to Manhattan Bagels or Western Bagel or from the East Coast and frequent Einstein, Bruegger’s or Brooklyn Bagels you’ll be disappointed.
Our bagel surely didn’t taste like they were baked on site. The coffee selection aren’t as good, either. We tried two wheat, a pumpernickel and a plain bagel and wondered if they bought them off site (like a Dunkin Donuts often does) and had them brought in to this deli. They weren’t warm, didn’t taste fresh and the staff was mute. None of the workers had any energy to them, which you normally get at a bagel shop or deli. The staff seemed asleep.
There’s nothing wrong with breakfast here, but it surely isn’t a 4 or 5-​star experience. It’s your average bagel shop, which is great in most of our minds.

Legit deli… bagels are proper. With a hubby from NY, we are always looking for a place ‘like home’ and Midtown didn’t disappoint. Bagels = perfect crust and crumb. Coffee = good variety and for a black coffee/​espresso drinker… I was content. :) Sandwiches = try the Havana (yes, really) or the Midtown. Didn’t have room for a cannoli but they are made in house, just like everything else. :) kudos Midtown…

Excellent sandwiches and bagels with a good variety of meats, cheeses and spreads as well as other entrees. Friendly service and good seating.

We tend to hit this at «unexpected» lunches out. The location is great, being surrounded by mainly retail stores, the in and out time is always great. We probably go here twice a month and have sampled a majority of the specialty sandwiches.
We recently got sandwiches to go today. We picked the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was great, they do deli stuff right: boars head and house made bread. You couldn’t ask for a better deli sandwich.
Also, the bagels here are about as good as any bagel you’d get outside of maybe New York. If you go early enough, they sell bagels from the day before at half off!

A five star deli I know what you’re thinking but Mr. Stefan it’s just a deli. Come here and let me school you this place is without a doubt the best deli in the surrounding area. The way they put sandwiches together is a thing of beauty and there’s no way you could duplicate this process at home. On yesterday after years of not stopping in here my daughter and I stopped in, this was her first time coming. She was immediately hooked on their sandwiches and their bagels. Until yesterday I had never eaten a bagel then after hearing my daughter go on and on about how this was the best bagel she’s ever had. Never mind the the fact that she’s only 10 years I decided to try it too and I’ll admit it that it was the best bagel that I’d ever tasted either. Granted it was my first ever bagel I decided that this too was the best bagel I’ve ever had Drake would be proud. This place is truly a diamond in the ruff, nope it’s not fancy and sure there may be a wait. You may even have to sit outside but as my daughter said daddy I want to eat here everyday that’s the highest complement I can bestow upon this wonderful establishment !!

Awesome bagels, and spreads. Awesome sandwich. Awesome macaroni salad, and potato salad. Everything’s made in house which is great and adds to the sandwich. Original east coast deli feel. Can’t beat it. I only wish one was in pooler…

I stop by usually in the morning since I work one block away the feel in the deli is good home style I usually take out the selection if bagels is pretty good I sometimes get it with egg or cheese not bad at all if you love cream cheese then you should swing by this deli the put a lb of cream cheese on your bagel sometimes it is a little over the type but nothing I can’t wipe off. Sandwiches are pretty good too I must add. The staff very helpful and friendly. They do have a wide selection if coffee a lot more tastier then Starbucks overall it’s excellent and I will continue to go to this hidden gem in savannah
