Description

Specialties

PERC is a coffee roaster (not a coffee shop) whose goal is to cultivate an appreciation for outstanding coffee. Stop by for a tour of the roastery or to pick up a bag of coffee. On Fridays at 11am we host free coffee tastings open to the public.

History

Established in 2010.

PERC COFFEE is committed to sourcing the finest coffee available. Our coffee is hand-roasted daily in small batches to ensure varietal character. Our goal is to cultivate an appreciation for outstanding coffee and to create fruitful, symbiotic relationships.

However, roasting complex and flavorful coffee is only half the equation. Our passion and attention to detail extend beyond the roast. PERC’s dedication to personal service is unmatched.

We employ a holistic approach with our wholesale partners, utilizing the knowledge acquired from over two decades in the coffee industry. Our mission is to empower clients with the tools, education, and training to create top-notch coffee programs.

We are tirelessly driven to exceed expectations.

Meet the Business Owner

Philip B.

Business Owner

Hey, I’m Philip Brown. I began my career in coffee as a barista and manager in Athens, Georgia, between tours with my band. Over eleven years there, my love affair with coffee bloomed and I started roasting.

In the summer of 2010 I opened PERC Coffee in a tiny shop in the Starland Dairy, Savannah’s incubator for small businesses. Soon my wife Geneva and I had our first son, Levon Otis, and I spent most of my time roasting, packaging, and delivering my coffee around town on my bike.

By 2013 PERC outgrew our small shop, and we moved to an old warehouse nearly ten times the size of the previous space. I’d gained a whole team too: now PERC had eight employees, and Geneva and I had another son, Lionel August.

Today PERC is still growing rapidly, and my small business is starting to blossom into something big.
