Post Office

Not only are they slow, their delivery persons are terrible. Evidently it does no good to go to your web page and request a redelivery. I went to your web page on Friday 1÷23÷16 and requested a redelivery. I still have the confirmation that states the letter will be redelivered Monday 1÷25÷16.
I wrote my carrier a note with the pink slip attached, advising that I will have the storm door unlocked for her, and asked to please knock on the inside door hard because I only have 20% total hearing. Not only did the carrier NOT knock, she didn’t even have the letter with her, it was still at the post office, this was Monday1/​25/​16.
I have your email stating the referral number and also put that in my note to the carrier.
Still no delivery Tuesday 1÷26÷16, when again I unlocked the storm door for her again. Again no letter.
Finally Wednesday I called the post office and they stated that they have the letter there, they would have my carrier deliver it today which she did on 1÷27÷16.
This is pretty poor service for our government Post Office and only shows why they do not deserve any type of raise.
I waited three extra days for a letter that should have been delivered Monday. There is no excuse for such service. Evidentially my carrier never even looked to see if I went to your web sight and requested the letter to be redelivered.
Now you wonder why the general public is so against your employees getting any type of raise, or having any prices going up? This carrier should actually be disciplined in some way. She certainly didn’t do her job.

There’s a reason that most people really dislike the Post Office and sadly this place is no different. It’s always and I mean always crowded because there are usually only 2 lines open. It’s not the employees fault they’re just dealing with the hand they were dealt by whomever makes the schedule. I totally understand that they’ve had cutbacks just like most other company but it’s obvious that people are still mailing letters & packages. This post office is a bit old too so with that being the case you’ve gotta wait in line to conduct most things like getting stamps.

This location isn’t bad and most of the employees do keep the long lines moving well, however, they do have an
employee, Deborah, who could use a permanent vacation. she’s absolutely ratchet & unnecessarily R-​ude… I don’t know these other reviewers, however, I’m willing to bet that they are complaining about the rudeness of Deborah. I have also sent a letter to the USPS, and I encourage people to do the same as well as Unilocal! There are far too many deserving, unemployed people out there who would love to have her job…

Need to have more auto pay stations and keep your drop box open after hours. Also don’t lock it during business hours as well and get all bitchy when I drop it off at the front counter. You’re suppose to be about convenience and service. Make it easy for us so it’s easier for you too!

Most of the employees here are great. I hand them my prepaid, packaged boxes and envelopes, they give me a receipt and I’m good to go.
However, there is one employee who weighs the packages says its «wrong» and won’t accept them. One time is because the package was 6.4 oz and I didn’t have the .4 on the postage– yea, that’s because it doesn’t change the price nor does it print out to that exactness. The other time I didn’t have the ounce down when the box was 14lb 5 oz (the rate is based on the poundage at that level and the ounces don’t chance the price). Not only did she not accept the boxes (which were correctly labeled), she also marked on them with her pen.
I try to avoid this post office if I can just so I don’t have to deal with her.

This is the post office that I frequent most often for its location and ease of access. The lines can be long at times because of how popular it is. If you have to wait in line, it’s a rarity that you will have to wait that long.
They also have one of those automated machines that takes plastic payments, with a scale so you can get postage for shipping boxes. It will also sell you postage stamps if you don’t won’t to wait in line for a person to sell you stamps.
