Live in the Elvis era where there was a 15 cents milkshake! It’s a little cute deli shoppe that has the very 1960’s feeling! Their sandwich will probably remind you of sandwich your mom made for you when you were a kid. Good milkshake too! Friendly staff who took time to make recommendations to us, newbie to the shoppe. Very affordable. Sweet location– by Wright Square and is near the diner where Jenny in Forrest Gump worked.

Hole in the wall with a few tables and a small menu of home made sandwiches. Caters to Girl Scout troops visiting the Juliette Low birthplace.

Really a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. Sandwiches were very fresh, made quickly, and moderately priced. Loved the décor inside as it felt like i traveled back a few decades. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re passing by

Fast, cheap, and always on-point food. Their hot dogs are the best, and I normally don’t even eat hot dogs.

Cute 1950s type deli/soda shoppe. The hot dog was delicious and the service was very friendly with free refills. I wish we had time to get the ice cream– people started to form a long line after we went through the line. I’m thinking we got there right on time. I love the memorabilia and items on the walls. Clean bathroom, good service, good food.

Such a cute spot! Owner is very nice! Delicious hotdogs and ice cream! They have a special; 1 hot dog and 1 beer for $ 5.00. Has a 1950’s feel to it. Definitely worth checking out!!!

I know I’m in the right place when they give me my shake with that signature froth on top and served in a Styrofoam cup. The mixer makes an awesome chocolate shake with malt undertones and they have a way to use soda to elevate the flavors of vanilla, etc. I just love this place. I haven’t eaten any of the food. I always come for the shake. One day I hope to dine here. Very accommodating with flavor requests and helping you to build what you’ll love based off your own personal tastes.

The absolute best local sandwich shop ever. I was a regular for years through college and the staff remember me like it was yesterday. They have the most amazing pimento and cheese sandwich which I highly recommend. You can find all your favorite treats including ice cream and a selection of cold sodas. The prices are on point and definitely worked with my student budget. It’s a small place so it’s not great for big parties but a perfect lunch spot to meet up with friends. If you are reading this you are in the know! I felt like the soda pop shop was my little secret for a long time so please go and support this awesome business!!!

This is a must visit when in Savannah. Chicken salad is unlike anything around. Owners are VERY friendly and the small place is cozy for residents as well as tourists. Great menu, even have malts and classic floats for those hot Georgia days. I’d like to give this more stars than 5, just can’t get enough of this place.

Went on 7÷28÷2015. This place is awesome! It’s a MUST go to if you’re visiting. Seriously the best hot dogs we’d ever had! My boyfriend went back and got more food after his first order, because he was so impressed. :) The staff is also incredibly nice which just added to the experience. They have stuff here you can’t really find anywhere else anymore(like freaking snow cones in the freezer!) and they have so many things to choose from, and it’s so cheap! We also loved the décor(boyfriend is a huge fan of coke, so that was a bonus for sure). We were visiting in Savannah for 5 days and honestly… This place was better than the sit down restaurants we went to.

There’s a Panera Bread on Broughton Street, similar to the Panera Bread in your local strip mall, that was crowded every time we walked by. Around the corner maybe fifty yards is the Soda Pop Shoppe, which had just a smattering of locals when we walked in around 1p on a Sunday. The Soda Pop Shoppe is how I imagine a 1950’s luncheonette — friendly owner, tons of candy, milkshakes and soda, and a menu full of burgers, hot dogs and cold cut sandwiches. Oh – and the prices: We ordered a hot dog with chili and cole slaw, a pimento cheese sandwich and two beers for $ 11. If you need a quick mid-day meal downtown, go with this local spot. You’ll find a Panera in a rest stop sometime in the near future.

Love this place! Cheap eats, good food, friendly owners, smiles everywhere and grateful for your business. You can get a lot of food, fill your stomach, and enjoy sitting outside in the city for cheap. Will be back again and again. Thanks for the great service and welcome!

We stopped by once and each got a soda, so I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. I typically start with 5 stars and work my way down if necessary, so this one’s sticking at 5! Good soda selection, but can’t say a thing about the food. Check it out!

This is a true locals place. The décor is Americana and the guy behind the counter(the owner?) Chatted with several customers while we were there who were clearly regulars. This is the kind of laid back place where I ordered seconds and exchanged cash for food once it was brought to my table. Very mom and pop. The food was great. The menu is mostly hot dogs and sandwiches. I had a corn dog, which was possibly the best corn dog I have ever had. Freshly dipped and deep fried, it was piping hot when it reached me. So good that I ordered a second. My friend ordered the club sandwich and it was well toasted, had a good quantity and distribution of ingredients. The food was reasonably priced and delicicious. Definitely worth a stop.

Simple, but cute shop with super nice folks. A great place for a quick bite to eat and ice cream. It was refreshing to encounter such nice people running a business, not always the standard in Savannah.
