I would not recommend this salon if you are getting color. I was there for 6 hours because they had to redo my hair after dying it orange. Then, too too it all off, they charged me more then they originally quoted by nearly $ 100. My hair is now orange. Other hairdressers in other salons CANNOT believe they charged me for this at all.

Love the nail salon in here. Been going to cookie since 2006. She rocks. The salon is clean and neat. The staff is friendly and they do speak perfect English. pedi’s here are the best. You may want to make an appointment if you are popping by with all your girlfriends.

I spent last weekend in Savannah for a friend’s wedding and was in desperate need of an eyebrow wax before the event. I called Riitz to inquire about an appointment and they were very accommodating — I was in the chair within an hour. The salon itself was elegantly decorated, very clean, and occupied a large space with high ceilings. The esthetician, Glen, did an AMAZING job on my eyebrows — thinned and arched to perfection. Glen mentioned his background in professional makeup art, and was happy to share some great makeup tips during our session — a welcome bonus. He was knowledgable, friendly, and very talented. I’d recommend the Riitz Salon, and Glen in particular, to anyone in the Savannah area.

I am new to Savannah from Jacksonville so I had no idea where to go to get awesome highlights. I had been going to the same person in Jacksonville for about 6 years, so I was a bit scared going with someone new. I looked around on the internet for places and came across the Riitz Salon. I set up an appointment with Vincent for a full set of highlights and a trim. He did a wonderful job AND he was fast. I was used to sitting in the chair for 3 hours sometimes. I have really long hair and its fine, and he did such a wonderful job I would recommend him to anyone. I am actually going back today to get an all over color. I want to go warm colors for the fall, plus my hair grows so fast, the roots are driving me crazy. I am sure he will get it exactly how I want it. I will post photos if I can. They also do a wonderful manicure pedicure here. And its cheaper than anywhere in town. Their OPI color selection is off the chart. I swear they have over 500 colors

I came here for the hot stone mani/pedi they advertise outside. I wish I hadn’t. The Asian woman who did my manicure barely spoke a word of English — to the point that we could not communicate at all. In addition, it was one of the worst manicures of my life. She made no less than three cuticles bleed, which she said nothing about, then dumped some alcohol on without warning, which really stung. I appreciate the recognition that those cuts can result in serious infection, but that is not the way to handle it — and frankly, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place, and certainly not three times. Very careless, very unprofessional. Then, I got the worst paint jobs I’ve ever had, on both my hands and feet — COVERED in air bubbles to the point I just had to take it off because it was just embarrassing. It literally looked like the manicures my four-year-old niece gives me. Never again.

Super nice folks, amazing Aveda products… and phenomenally fast staff turnover. You’ll never see the same stylist twice there, unfortunately. I’d been to several Aveda salons before moving to Georgia and admittedly my expectations were high, but Riitz Salon never matched the hip edginess my past experiences had led me to expect from an Aveda-backed establishment. There are better haircuts to be had elsewhere in Savannah, but definitely swing by to buy the products.
