All About Pets

went in on the 11^th and had my two dogs fitted for a harness. i was advised the correct harnesses needed to be ordered, and would be in by the 16^th or 17. also, i would be called.
on the evening of the 17^th i called and was advised the order «may» have been placed, and if so, the harnesses would now arrive no later than the 23^rd, and i would be called.
i called on the 23^rd, and was told the order was not in. i was told a manager would call me back before close of business — i have yet to receive a call.
in summation, i was told the owner handles all the special orders, and the owner was not available for at least a week or more.
additionally, i have been provided different stories and have not received the promised call back.

on the upside, the sales girl on the 11^th was very nice and helpful.

I love this pet store. Huge selection and the staff is friendly and helpful. I go to pet stores over others. Good thing it’s in my own backyard.

Very friendly, supportive, knowledgeable staff! I am always excited to go in and see what critters they have wandering around-​or run into the occasional puppy. I bought a hand raised baby love bird from them and they were amazing with my transition into «parenthood». They also do free wing and nail clipping! Wonderful place!

What a treasure! The staff here takes their time to truly help you. Charles goes above and beyond in everything he does. We are lucky to have a full service, fully stocked pet store with a friendly and educated staff. Stores like this ensure the big box competition need not apply.

Always super friendly, always super helpful. They have all the good brands of pet food. I overheard a customer and the staff talking about a 65# animal the other day and I was blown away to find out that they were talking about a rabbit! You can probably find food cheaper elsewhere but I’d prefer to give this local place my money.

Very nice store and staff, but I had an incredibly bad experience with the manager and will not be back because of it. I had been told by the manager that they could order a bag of my brand of dog food. He specified the day and time it would be in, and said he would call when it was ready. When I had still not gotten a call by the day & time he had said he’d call, I had to go into Scappoose for errands, and stopped by to pick up the food. When I inquired, he said the shipment had come in, but that he was busy, he then said in a highly annoyed, impatient and dismissive tone: «there’s no way I can get to it right this MINUTE». He added that he would call me later that day when it was ready, turned on his heel, and walked off without an apology or a goodbye. This was a week ago and to this day, I still have not received a phone call. I had to go to another store 30 minutes away because I was out of food.
This was the worst customer service I have received in a long time, if ever. I have seldom felt so unvalued and disrespected as a customer in any retail establishment. It is sad, because I would prefer to patronize a community store– but I’ll be going to Hillsboro or Portland from now on, and will not return to All About Pets.

If you’ve forgotten what customer service is, drop in to All About Pets. They have the friendliest, most knowledgeable, most helpful staff I’ve seen in a very long time. I’ve been in 4 – 5 times now, and each time, whether a weeknight or a busy Saturday, I was treated as if I were the only customer there. They make helpful suggestions without pushing them at you and they have an amazing variety of items for a relatively small store. I’m really impressed with the variety of premium foods they stock. Seriously, if you want to be treated like you deserve to be treated as a customer, shop here for your pet’s needs.

This place is fantastic!!! I have been going there since it first opened in it’s original location down the street. Extremely knowledgeable and super friendly, always a pleasure doing business there!

This small town pet store is one of my dog’s favorite places to visit. First she is always welcome. Big plus in her book. They have things at her height level so if she wants something she is free to take it to the register. Another big plus in her book.
The staff is extremely helpful. They helped me outfit my dog with rain gear that fit her. She wasn’t too happy about that one. I also have a very shy cat that they helped me pick out a cat tree for and it was on sale plus they had an internal sale on top of the sale price. I couldn’t get this tree online for cheaper. No way. My kitty absolutely loves her Christmas present. The food they sell here is actually good for our animals. My dog was so picky I couldn’t get her to eat kibble. I had to cook for her. (I rarely cook for myself and I cook for my pet! Ugggghhh) With their return policy being as excellent as it was, we were able to find a kibble that she would eat and I feel good about the food she is eating. I don’t worry about additives and poisons that can end up in their food due to laxed and inferior product manufacturing from other countries.
To summarize… Fantastic and helpful staff, wide selection for all kinds of pets, pretty average prices and excellent sales. Fantastic return policy, Quality food and very pet friendly. Love them.

This is a really wonderful store where the staff is super helpful and the variety of foods is outstanding. They don’t sell any crap — the stuff they have is TOP quality, AAA rated, non-​biproduct, food, etc. and they sell the most holistic and organic brands of dog food. They are always willing to help and are never too busy to give you personal attention and answer ALL your questions — even though they are always busy doing stuff. They make their customers — humans and pets alike, the priority and its wonderful!

Small town pet stores are always the best and this is one of them. Prices are average and the owner and staff are VERY friendly and always helpful. They have a large selection of about everything you can think of in pet supplies, also have a small fish and reptile section. They trim my poms nails for free when I bring her in and also have a dog washing center and grooming available.
