I come here often. Tons of good food that looks fresher than buffet food usually is. Not disappointment and the selection is very predictable which is an important feature of a buffet type restaurant.

I don’t know what the other reviewers ate here but I mainly stick with the ribs, crab legs and shrimp. All three are tasty. They do have some things that look sketchy like the raw clams on a half shell, but for the most part it’s far from disgusting. I’ve been coming here for a few years now with friends and family and they all enjoyed it as well. The price is extremely cheap for what they offer in my opinion.

This buffet spot only gets1 star from me because i don’t have an option to give it zero stars. This has got to be the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten. The only thing I dared to try after looking at the food selection was the fried rice and lo mein. And even that wasn’t good enough to make me go for seconds. I should have run over a squirrel with my car and had that for dinner instead. I want my $ 34 back!

Okay so a buffet, I haven’t been to Chinese buffet in years. After leaving Barnes and Nobel, my hunk & I decided to go here for some grub. The fruit was okay, salad looked old and disgusting. Now with buffets it’s a little hard to review being that there’s tons of food! Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long and had pudding and fruit for dinner due to the selection of food and also we aren’t meat eaters. The selection of food they had out wasn’t Chinese food which was a bit of a drag. The cost for 2 people was $ 35, which was surprising being that other Chinese buffets were totaling out to be $ 20-$ 25 including drinks. 3 stars because the waiters/waitresses were polite and the establishment was very clean. Wouldn’t go here again for date night.

I occasionally visit every few months. Entrees, appetizers and desserts are consistent, there’s little to no change to the buffet menu. Love the mussels & general tso chicken — definitely a must to try. Typical Chinese food buffet. Reasonably priced & great for a good sized-group. Staff is quick & pick up already used plates often.

I came here last week and was not impressed at all. This place used to be a lot better from what I remember a few years ago. Their choices of food looked dirty and old. I was almost scared to eat anything from them because it screamed germs and gross. The buffet area is very messy and cramped. Some of the food is tasteless and bland. However, the reason I am giving this place two stars because the price is cheap, some of the food wasn’t as bad as it looked(only some. some were even worse than it looked) and the service was good. Overall, I was very disappointed. This place could be very successful if they prepared quality chinese food instead of fast, cheap servings. Looks cheap and fake.(Thats what it is). They need to make sure they watch the appearance of their restaurant. Looks old, boring, dirty and infested. I won’t be returning again, but hope they could make some changes — that would attract more customers to their business.

I was passing through on my way home from visiting family for the holidays. Thought I would give it a try since there few options on the NYS Thruway. First of all you are packed in there like sardines and the buffet area looks like a feeding trough. The food is tasteless and swimming in mystery liquids. The wait staff is not very attentive to see if you need more drinks or take away your dirty plates. Back to the buffet area, it is cramped and messy. The salad bar did not look appetizing at all. The«sushi» looked old and was food poisoning waiting to happen. In their defense it was a Saturday and it was busy. Maybe it is better on slower nights. I can assure you that I will not be returning.

Buffet wasn’t good. Food was cold and greasy. Salmon was dry. Oranges, chinese tea and jello had a foul smell. Staff had minimal interaction with us. Comprehension of English may have been at issue Cost for lunch buffet was $ 12.99.Others in area are $ 9.99.

Probably the best Chinese buffet in the area. The trays are always hot and refilled constantly. A wonderful variety of delicious food and dessert. The price is very reasonable and the staff is polite and very attentive. You never feel rushed. Sundays can be pretty crowded but it is worth the wait.

Super gross. I felt like cattle at the feed lot when I went here then got diarrhea to boot(so did my finace’). There is a difference between inexpensive dining out and mass quantities of cheap food like this. Don’t do this to yourself!

The best thing this restaurant served was The ice cream. Almost nothing off the buffet was hot, and above that, tasted fake and gross. I like«Chinese junk food» usually and am rarely picky about it, but This place was horrible. And for 10.50 a pop it’s not the cheapest One I’ve been to either. But I would have been happy to pay a few dollars more for a better meal. My advice: fulfill your Chinese cravings elsewhere. Because this place isn’t gonna help you with that.

I have been bringing my family and friends to King China Buffet for YEARS. While better than the other Chinese Buffet’s nearby, it is not the best buffet I have been to by a long shot. In the 10+ years we have been going, the same woman sits at the register. Certainly she knows who we are by now after more than 100 times. She has yet to greet us or a single person as far as I can tell with even a smile. The food runs the gambit from nasty to decent. The crab legs are the winner along with the shrimp in lobster sauce, crispy duck and the fake crabmeat stuffed clam shells and fake crab meat and cheese dish. Lately it seems that they are using cheaper cheese. Some of the fried food is not great and the«sushi» is just downright nasty. We go here because it is not very expensive and it has become a «tradition», but the day we find a better buffet with parking we may never return.

I’ve been going here for years on and off. The last 3 times the quality has been slipping. The steamed oysters and shrimps are not as fresh as they used to be. And some of waiters make u feel rushed. Especially if they are giving u the checked when u haven’t even finished your first plate.

I came here shortly after I moved to the area. It’s probably the worst restaurant I’ve tried that I can remember. The food is cheap. But it’s awful. Never again.

We go here once a week with the kids, because it is quick, easy, and quite appetizing. The stuffed clams, crab ragoons, sesame chicken, and Chinese donuts are favorites of mine. Please keep in mind that this is a BUFFET and a pretty damn good one!

The only reason anyone would dine here is if they wanted to shoot our diarrhea from every orifice of their body. Yeah it’s cheap, but there are lots of food options on Central Ave and King China Buffet should not be one of them. I have been here a couple times and both times I saw the same morbidly obese man chomping down on plates and plates full of crab legs. Seriously, that’s all he was eating. He’s probably dead by now.

Seriously, Don’t Do It. Ok if you are looking for a place with a lot of food to fill your stomach and you don’t really care about the quality, by all means go ahead. The price is really cheap. But really, you get what you pay for when it comes to the quality and taste of the food. We’ve driven past King China Buffet before and decided to take the plunge today. We were not looking for great Chinese food, just the basic fare with variety… but on hindsight we really should have taken a drive to Stamford for Panda Express. I just kinda felt like I wasted my calories on really bad food. Slap me if I ever cook like that. The one star is for the efficient service and low price.
