My children have been going to the doctors in this practice from the time they were just a few days old. What’s remarkable is that my daughters are now grown young women and they still email their individual doctors when they have questions regarding their health. And what is more outstanding is that their doctors will email them back, often within minutes if not hours of their request. As a not so young parent, I was very impressed with the quality of care and empathy that this extraordinary team of pediatricians(and their nurse practitioners) possessed in dealing with the hysteria of parents who think that their children were the first ones that had any kind of problems. When we lived in New York City, we would often meet one of the doctors on a Saturday or Sunday in their office because they sensed our anxieties regarding our child’s sudden fever or other ailment that we felt required their immediate attention. About eighteen years ago, one of the doctors, approached me in the waiting room and told me that they were opening up another office in Westchester, he joked that now we too could move, since he knew how attached my family was to their practice. And while he was joking, I ran home to tell my wife that we could begin to look at houses, since I really valued their expertise. Although my children are grown they still prefer to check with their pediatrician even though they are now old enough to go to a general internist. I think that’s about the greatest complement a patient can give their doctors!
