We couldn’t be any happier with Donald and the work he did refinishing the floors of our new home in White Plains. They look amazing and were completed on time and for the exact price he quoted. No wonder Personal Touch Wood Floors was recommended so highly by our new neighbors. You won’t find anyone more honest, dependable, and skilled than Donald and his team.

Donald Baker, the owner of Personal Touch Wood Floors, Inc, was an very knowledgeable and efficient expert in restoring old beat floors. Our apt was built in 1920’s and the floor was in terrible condition when we bought it, but Donald has transformed into an amazingly beautiful floor, much nicer than I could ever have imagined it to be possible, for almost half the price of the other estimates! We received so many complements on our floor, and I can’t thank him enough. Donald is the best!

Terrible customer service. Guy tells me he will do the job two weeks in a row then backs out right before I am having furniture delivered. Cannot trust this person even if he does good work.

I needed to have the wall to wall carpets removed, furniture moved, and the floors refinished in 3 bedrooms and a hall. I interviewed 3 floormen. DONALD BAKER, the owner, from PERSONAL TOUCH WOOD FLOORS, came to my house and gave me a free estimate. His estimate was reasonable and right in the middle of the other estimates. Donald was very easy to talk to, listened to my concerns and addressed them. He explained the options to me clearly. He and his men showed up on the appointed day at the appointed time. The time frame for the job was accurate. They never missed a day and always told me when they would be back and what the next step would be. The workers were very polite and neat. They worked efficiently and focused on what needed to be done. They always explained the process and progress of the job.
Donald Baker was always available by cell phone and very easy to work with. The floors turned out beautifully. I paid exactly what the estimate stated.

I interviewed three floor specialists, as we have 80% of our house with hardwood flooring. I knew it would be a very tough job because of dog spots, and 3 rooms that had had wall to wall carpeting. Anyone who has ripped up carpeting knows that the carpeting company folks use 15,000 nails and staples, and when ripped up the floor underneath is a mess.
Donald Baker said no problem to all of our issues – and his price was extremely reasonable.
We arranged to have the work done while we were away.
I came in at midnight last night, and I felt compelled to get up at 7:00 AM to write this review as the floors look spectacular !
You could not tell that there were dog spots nor could you tell there was carpeting with the thousands of holes in the floor.
I HIGHLY recommend this man and his staff, as we could not be happier with the beautiful floors that we now have thanks to Personal Touch Wood Floors and Donald Baker !

After buying but before moving into a fixer-​upper, I had gotten several bids for refinishing the wood floors on the first story and installing matching hardwood on the second floor. The bids were crazy high and I wasn’t at all confident that any of them could do good work EXCEPT Personal Touch. Donald Baker, the owner, was confident that his team could easily remove the thick layer of black gooey glue over the flooring on the first floor — something that several contractors said «good luck!» to and didn’t bid on. That stuff came off easily — so it looked to me! — they just had the right grit paper on their sanding machine. The guys that worked on the floor were good, particularly Patricio. He did the bulk of the work and really knew what he was doing as there were a couple areas that needed repair. I learned a lot from him just by watching. Except for one day when no one showed up and no one called, they got it done and the floors were cured just in time for moving day.
