They really need to get their phones working and when they don’t, publish their office hours and special closing dates on their website… not via notes on their office door. I just wasted 40 minutes driving here to find out they’re closed.

I love LOVE love Dr. Miller. He is so helpful and so professional. This is the first and only allergist I’ve ever been too and he is happy to answer any of my questions. I have only seen Dr. Sonin once, but he was also very attentive. The nurses are sweet, some more than others. But I’ve never had a bad experience with any of them. Now, the only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is because the receptionists are… well, they are witches. They are cranky old ladies that complain about each other all day long. Unfortunately, you are forced to listen to them whine while you wait 45 minutes for your scheduled appointment(yes, one time I actually had to wait that long). You would think these women want to strangle each other. Every single time I go in for a shot they are going off again, about someone that isn’t there and requests too much time off. Come on now, you should probably just retire. Not only that, but when you call them to ask a simple question the same cranky old lady answers. Her tone is so unprofessional, even if you try to be sweet to her. As a receptionist you are the face of the practice. You need to smile and greet people, or if you get a phone call you need to be patient and polite. Just because you are old you do not have the right to talk down to others. To sum it up — I give the doctors and their nurses 5 stars. I give their receptionists negative 2 stars.

They aren’t the cheapest of allergists. I come here for Dr. Sonin. They give a variety of treatment options and are more than willing to help out with allergy situations. They have the full gamut of patients, ranging from 5 year olds all the way to the elderly. They run a tight ship and are only open a couple days out of the week at this location, but they are always willing to give shots. The downside? They don’t like to give out vials. At my old allergist in Central Illinois they would let me take my vials to my employer so I could get free shots there. Here, it’s pretty difficult to do that. The receptionists aren’t the most friendly of people here, but I’m not here to get chit chatty with the receptionist either. The nurses are always good about giving shots and they are very responsive about questions you might have. One thing it might take adjustment getting used to is just the friendliness of the doctors. It’s not that they are unfriendly, but they have a different sense of humor and it can be difficult relating to them. It doesn’t detract away from their ability to provide good allergy services. Overall, I’d recommend getting a consult here if you want to get allergy shots before you dive headfirst into it.
