Advantage Leasing and Sales

What better Unilocaling than one of the first places I bought something at.
Moving here meant I needed a set of wheels. I heard it gets cold and snows in Chicago. Plus I’m in the US. I need an SUV. I searched around for a cheap reliable one and came across a Honda Pilot at this location.
They couldn’t really tell me much about the vehicle but I like to do my research so that didn’t matter to me. I was able to test drive it and make sure it was ok. The tires needed replacing as they were approaching baldness but it seemed fine overall and turned out to be a good buy. I got good use out of it.
Anyway, I was able to buy it totally using a credit card. Sweet! Can’t do better than that. They helped me find some expensive insurance (later to be swapped for something half the price) so I could get out the same day. Result!

I leased my car from Pontiac about a year ago. Soon I began receiving mailers from Advantage that offered their services regarding early lease termination and re-​leasing. I paid no attention until a month ago. I decided to check them out and see what they could offer me. I spoke with Jeff over the phone. He was helpful and friendly. So I decided to make the 45 min drive to the burbs. Once I got there Jeff was too busy so he directed me to Mike (who didn’t seem very knowledgeable regarding their services). I was hesitant at first but ultimately everything seemed legit so I filled out a credit app and was told that they would call me to talk numbers. Well this phone call NEVER came. I attempted to contact Jeff several times and left several messages. I was even told that he would definitely be calling me asap. Well this never happened. A whole month goes by and still nothing. I finally spoke with a manager. I left him know that they have lost me as a customer. He’s supposed to alert the General Manager. Who knows if that will actually happen.
Overall, I am disgusted and feel used. I gave them all my information and allowed them to run a credit check and for what? NOTHING. Running a person’s credit is nothing to be taken lightly.
TO ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING THIS PLACE… PLEASE DON’T DO IT. SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PLACE AND THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS JUST DOESN’T SEEM RIGHT.
