What a garbage company. Happened exactly like the previous poor reviews said. Professional appearance on the sales side (which roped me in), then they deliver something completely different from what they sell you on, and even THAT work is shoddy. Call them repeatedly and maybe they’ll send a guy out, who has a look, says he’ll get back to you and then runs for the hills.
DO NOT USE MSI PAINTING. Ye have been warned.
BTW, had a different painter come out today to redo this job. First thing he says, «let me guess, MSI? Probably gave you a nice sales presentation, didn’t they?»

I moved far from my «go-​to» painter, and decided to give MSI a chance due to their account executive’s professionalism, their satisfaction guarantee and their marketing. Huge mistake. I received 3 quotes. MSI was the most expensive, but I went with them anyway thinking that it was worth paying for quality.
They promised a general manger would be overseeing the job – ultimately, he knew nothing, had no power to help me, and did not keep his promises to follow-​up and re-​paint areas I was not satisfied with. They promised me a gift card to re-​imburse me for my dissatisfaction. I never received one.
I was told their painters were all experienced and had been with them for many years.
The day of the job only one guy showed up. He said he was the foreman for the job, but had no experience managing the team that was sent for him. He also had no materials and said he’d be back after he purchased what he needed – that should have been my first clue to cancel.
The other two painters showed up two hours late, & were subs that did not work for MSI.
The second day, one of the guys didn’t show at all, and no replacement was sent.
Everything else that could go wrong did go wrong:
— The job took longer than specified.
— Surfaces were not properly prepped for painting
— Paint spatters and drips were left all over my floor and furniture
— One of the specialty paints the account executive had sold me ended up costing more
— Paint application was patchy or heavy in spots, and edges were messy.
— They painted over vent covers instead of removing them
— It took me two days of cleaning to remove paint dust residue from my hardwood floors.

I wouldn’t recommend MSI Painting Solutions to my greatest enemies, not that I have any. I had multiple quotes to paint my house, 4 to be exact, and they appeared to be competitive in pricing and professional. What a mistake. The project took longer than expected, by one week to be exact. So you figure if they took longer then the job would be good quality, right? WRONG. The end result was total garbage. Patchy coverage, paint on my hardwood floor and waivey lines where they cut with a brush. It looks like a bunch of drunk college kids did the work. Never again.

I can’t say enough good things about the crew from MSI Painting Solutions! Prompt, courteous, and they pay attention to the details — all a must from painters.
I’ve had them in my home twice now — once back in February to paint two small bathrooms and just recently to paint a bedroom, another bathroom and our front steps/​porch.
Our jobs were scheduled promptly and we were given plenty of notice to the times that the crew would need to be in our home. I love bold colors, so they had their work cutout for them. Even in our very saturated dark blue bathroom — the lines are perfection!
The recent outdoor project was a new one for me, as we haven’t owned our home long enough to need any additional outdoor painting. The team scraped and prepped our steps extensively — I was impressed with the level of detail paid to making certain the job would be done right. After extensive prep and then meticulous painting (no blobs of white from the railing on our dark grey steps) our front porch has been restored to it’s former glory.
One last item to mention — price. I’ve checked with other painting companies and found MSI to be very reasonable and not out to keep adding to the bill (as you sometimes find w/​other painters). I received a number and they stuck to it.
I will recommend MSI to friends and definitely use them for my future painting needs.
