Jim did a fantastic job in helping us find our ideal home. We greatly appreciated his level of experience, not only with the market and quality of homes in a given territory, but his ability to help us determine whether or not the property fit all of our pre-​designated criteria. He was unbelievably responsive, communicating with me at night and on weekends. He answered nearly every call I placed to him (which were numerous) and got back to me when he said he would. He gave us the personalized attention that can sometime be missing in this industry.

He also has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to remodeling, which opened up the option of purchasing a home that will provide us with the best long term return on our investment. The only conceivable reason I can begin to fathom why Jim doesn’t have a 5 star rating at the time I am reviewing is because human nature is to only review when the feedback is critical. In stark contrast my wife and I have never been more impressed with a professional in any field. Jim loves his job and it shows. I would put him up against any Realtor in suburban Chicago in terms or knowledge, work ethic, and results (which I don’t need to speak to — they are well known and speak for themselves). Beyond this, Jim is nothing but class and integrity. I know I can ask his opinion and get an honest answer — Jim’s success allows him to be honest — he has enough business that he doesn’t need to mislead a client to complete a transaction — and its that very same honesty that perpetuates itself in the form of new business for him. Jim patiently located a house for my wife and me and has done the same for a coworker and her spouse. Don’t waste your time — call Jim — you’ll be thrilled you did.

I figured I would supply some feedback on Jim since after all, Unilocal is what led me to him. Sadly, my experience wasn’t as 5-​star as the previous ones.
My boyfriend and I were searching out a townhome or single family home to rent in the Schaumburg-​ish area. After not having much success on our own, we decided to involve a realtor who could show us some listings. I found Jim on Unilocal and gave him a call on a Saturday afternoon to see if he was available to help us. I mentioned we were looking to rent this year, but were hoping to buy within a year or two. I ensured him if all went well, I’d be happy to use him again to purchase in the future. ((He mentioned he was only willing to help us since we were potential buyers — since there isn’t any money in rentals. Nice.))
We had a lengthy conversation on the phone and he assured me he would be able to help us, and not to worry. He asked me to set up an account and dump a bunch of listings I wanted to see into my folder online and he would contact me Monday with times to see the homes. I did just that.
Jim didn’t call Monday. Neither did his assistants. In fact, he didn’t respond to my follow up email or call either. I was thoroughly disappointed, and by Wednesday I had already found someone else willing to help us. Sadly, I will never recommend Jim to friends or family, nor will I use him in the future. For someone who seemed to have so much potential, he turned out to be just another salesman — only after the almighty dollar.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jim Huntzicker. We were so glad that someone referred us to Jim. I would recommend him to anyone! We used him as our realtor for our first home. Going into the process, we didn’t know a lot about buying a home. Jim was thorough and provided us with a lot of information. He made us feel comfortable, never rushed our decisions and had so much valuable information to share with us. He showed us a lot of homes and was always honest, which is an asset in a realtor.
