When this place carries vegan cheese I will update to give it 5 stars. Tonight my friend and I stopped in and tried the pizza for the first time. The guys behind the counter helping create a pizza were very friendly and offered many suggestions. If they didn’t know an answer to a question about an ingredient they were happy to check for the answer and didn’t seem put out at all. The cashier said they are supposed to start carrying a vegan cheese option soon! Hope that’s true! **updated review on 4/18/16** They now carry Daiya vegan cheese shreds! I’m very glad the company decided to offer a vegan cheese option. Stopped in today and had a «create my own» pizza which was delicious! My favorite toppings included the kalamata olives, basil, and cilantro. My only suggestion is that the vegan cheese be kept with the veggie toppings instead of next to the dairy cheeses because it would be very easy for some dairy cheese to fall into the vegan cheese in a cross contamination situation. Also, a tip for vegans make sure you ask for a clean cutting board and clean pizza cutter!

Cool idea. Fresh ingredients to choose from. You get to pick and choose what you want on the pizza and they throw it in the oven for you. They have preset pizzas if you can’t decide what to put together. Yes it’ll cost more and is smaller than a Little Ceasars pizza but they have better ingredient.

I had heard about this pizza in 5 minutes place, but, hadn’t yet been there. So while driving by I decided to stop in. I got their thin crust pizza with marinara, mozzarella, cheddar, sausage, ham, green & red peppers, and sun dried tomatoes. First off, like I mentioned I have not been here before. I mentioned this to the guy taking my order and he was super helpful! He explained everything the whole way through and it was very easy to place my order! The pizza & soft drink was about $ 10. Not cheap, but not very pricey either, considering all the toppings I picked. How was it? Well, it was great! Tasted super fresh and really good! I order pizza often(at least 3 times a month, probably more); usually from Lou Malnati’s. Now, I may say Lou’s thin crust is slightly better, but, who wouldn’t. I mean Lou’s is a Chicago pizza king, everyone knows them and they are awesome. But, for a fast food pizza, Pie Five Pie Pizza Co is ahead of the curve! This tastes nothing like fast food pizza. It actually tastes and looks like quality! I am giving 5 stars because this place exceeded my expectations for a fast food pizza place. Tasty food and friendly service! Give them a try!

i feel like you can’t go wrong with pizza, so when i went here my expectations were met. everything was clean and fast… the amount of toppings you can add on was awesome, i almost didn’t know where to start. my ONLY«complaint» is i wish there were labels on/above each topping. i know-it’s pretty self explanatory but with the variety of options it just would’ve been a little easier on the eyes. the pizzas were in and out of the oven within 5 minutes… PERFECT. me and my bf both got the pan crust and were impressed by how soft BUT crispy the crust was(always a pain when the edges of a pizza are a struggle to bite through) and the entire thing tasted fresh! this place is amazing, i’m glad to have stumbled upon it. oh, the breadsticks were delicious as well as the chocolate chip pie. for the quality of the food here, the price is unbeatable.

Really cool idea. The subway of pizza. The food was great. The workers were really nice. I like straight forward no bs here’s what we do. I only wish there was more meat on the Mediterranean pizza. I’m not sure why but businesses think that every one from the Mediterranean is a vegetarian. I am from that region and I eats the hell out of meat. Love it. Maybe a gyro meat pizza or he’ll throw some grilled chicken and feta or something on it.

Hubby and I were in the area and we had a taste of pizza and I had a coupon for a free pie from a Unilocal event. The place is in a strip mall. The side entrance was a little weird on the side of the building to go and place your order you have to go through another door. The set up was the same as the other location we ordered the following. Five Star tuscan marinara /cheddar /pork sausage /pepperoni /beef /green olives /red & green peppers /black olives /red onions CLASSICPAN High Five tuscan marinara /cheddar /pepperoni /italian sausage /bacon /ham /beef CLASSICPAN Chicago Works with sauce cheese Shredded beef and other yummy goodness. It’s a nice chain, a different concept of how you would like your pizza made like«Subway» make it fresh. I’ll come back again if I’m in the area and want a personal pizza.

My family has eaten here many times and it’s been a very consistent experience. They only serve personal-size pizzas or kids personal pizzas. The price for any type of crust and any ingredients are the same for all pizzas, which is nice, and the price is reasonable. You’re going to pay a little more than normal to feed your family than you would if you just got a single pizza, but the variety of options allowing each person to get exactly what they want make it worth it. I’ve tried a few of their pizzas and all were very good. The kids pizzas are smaller and cheaper and only one ingredient but just as delicious. My only complaint is that the process of telling the workers what you want on each pizza is very slow. This is not really a problem if you’re showing up outside of a rush time but since we often show up a little earlier than the average person eats, we would always be treated to watching a very long and slow line barely move when 3 or 4 families showed up around the same time. You’ll wait about 1 – 2 minutes per person in front of you in line. If you want a personal pizza this is the best place in the area to find it.

Since going gluten free a few years ago, it is REALLY difficult to find a good pizza. In walks Pie Five… YAY! The gluten free crust is slightly crunchy and chewy… The cost is pretty good. A pizza is $ 6.99…add $ 2 for gluten free. For $ 10 total($ 12GF) you can get pizza, dessert, and drink. For $ 11 total($ 13GF) you can get pizza, salad, and drink. They have a rewards program. Sign up for the Circle of Crust. You get half off on your half birthday. You also accrue points for a free pizza. The line gets rather long during lunch time. Plan for extra time! If you do gluten free… do not get the alfredo sauce… do not get the alfredo sauce. I did that on my first visit. Big mistake! I wish someone working there would have alerted me. Oh well, live and learn.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my husband while visiting the area. I had the BBQ Pizza and he had the Windy City Works. The classic pan crust on my pizza was awesome and didn’t have that too much bread vibe that many deep dish pizzas give you. Temptation gave in, so we had the chocolate chip pie and turtle pie as dessert. Both were delicious, I highly recommend trying at least one. Today was a rainy and cold day so it was absolutely freezing inside the restaurant(my toes may have gone numb) but we will definitely return the next time we are in town.

Miracle food! Not sure how I missed knowing about this place, but I’m glad I do now. Went for lunch with two gluten free kids and one toddler. All of us were well fed and happy by the end of our meal. I do wish they had milk available for the wee ones, but that’s a small grievance. I recommend the Athenian, pan style, hold the olives. Love those banana peppers. And I’ll have to try dessert next time. Now I just need to figure out if there’s one closer to home.

I’ve driven past this place a lot, and after scoping through the Unilocal reviews, I knew I had to check it out. I’m so happy I did! Pie Five is essentially one of those«build it in front of you» places, like Subway and Chipotle, but specializes in pizza. And *everybody* loves pizza! They even have vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. You can choose one of their speciality pizzas or, if you’re picky like me, you can build your own. As a first-timer I really wasn’t sure what the process was like and the employee didn’t care to explain it, but it was simple enough. Pick your crust, then your base(marinara, spicy marinara, Alfredo, olive oil, and some others I can’t remember) and then your meats — get as many as you want! Get extra! It’s all a set price, so you won’t get charged for double meat or extra cheese. Then you choose your veggies(and there’s an ample selection of those). Pile on as many or as little toppings as you want before they put the pizza in the oven. When it’s cooked you can choose to add extra Parmesan, feta, and/or mozzarella cheese, oregano, basil, and their signature«Magic Dust,» all at no additional charge. A single personal pizza with unlimited toppings is $ 7, but for $ 10 you can get a large drink and a dessert pizza/side salad as well. It’s really a great value for the price, although my pizza tasted so good that I wish I got a second one for later. Peace out, Subway pizza. I’ll definitely be returning!

I came here with a group of coworkers for lunch today. A few of my other coworkers have been here and loved it, so I had to try it out. This is a genius concept. All pizzas are the same price, no matter how many toppings you put on, what crust you choose, or if you make your own or choose one of theirs. For a few bucks more you can add a drink and dessert or salad. They had plenty of different toppings, sauces, and crusts to choose from(even a gluten free one). Everything is made right in front of you and takes no time at all to make. You can take it to go or eat inside. I ordered the margarita pizza and loved it. Just the right size and delicious! For that price, it’s not too shabby at all! They also have a rewards program(2 points for every pizza purchased, once you reach 20 points you get a free one!). No bad!

Personal pan pizzas aren’t a new idea, but getting whatever you want on them for $ 7 is new to me. The toppings were pretty basic, but mix and matching them you can come up with some pretty wild ideas. This particular chain does a good job spelling out your options and streamlining the process so you get through the line in around six minutes. The pie is okay, probably why I’m giving it only 4 stars. The price is great, a plus for a guy only looking for a simple lunch, especially when I’m tired of eating at Chipotle every day. The staff here is very friendly, especially to new customers trying to wrap their heads around endless toppings. A friendly cheap lunch that is worth a short wait.

Love the concept but after trying a similar food chain(Your Pie) first I have to say that Five Pie isn’t as good. Not sure if it’s the sauce or the crust or if the ingredients are skimpier. I’ve tried both customizing my own pizza and ordering one off the menu. Prefer my own better. Ordered the Windy City and was not a fan, was too dry and salty. If you want pizza quickly and customized to your liking, then it’s a good option. They seem to run specials often such as kids eat free on weekends which is nice.

Sometimes we are faced with one of these three scenarios: 1. We want a delicious hot pizza, but we want something fresh instead of a slice that may have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. 2. We want pizza, but we’re trying to be more adventurous and eat something different instead of having the same standard combinations all the time. 3. We’re going out with friends, but with a large group it’s hard to get just one or two pizzas that will satisfy everyone’s dietary needs and food preferences. Fortunately, Pie Five Pizza Co helps to solve all of these problems. While it’s not the most amazing pizza you’ll have in your life — it is surprisingly good for something that’s made in 5 minutes, with lots of customization options, fresh ingredients, and is a lot of fun. I enjoyed the classic pan more than the thin crusts(maybe it’s the Chicagoan in me) and felt that overall the pizzas could have used a bit more ingredients. But did like the fresh taste and not-too-salty composition of all the pizzas I tried. The cooks were very friendly and the service was excellent(very well kept and clean tables). The décor is modern and trendy, which is especially noticable in the washrooms. The salads were presented with a well-composed gourmet look to them, although the flavor wasn’t anything special and it could’ve been a bit lighter on the dressing. The cookie pie with a nice rich chocolate touch was a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a really cool concept with relatively good food and a great place to take friends. I’ll definitely be back again.

This place is like a better version of California Pizza Kitchen. Or rather, when you can make your own flat bread pizza, with everything you like on it, there is no need to go to CPK. HOWEVER, $ 6.99 for a pizza your way, + a drink. You’re looking at a $ 9 lunch. I come in at 180lbs, and ate a pie and a half, as well as 2 root beer floats at the Unilocal event. Only then was I pleasantly full. Like I said, this could be a cool lunch spot, but the dollas don’t make sense on this one. *I rather go to the Beer Market down the road, and call in a pizza to be delivered.

So, I was one of the privileged few to attend the pre-opening night for some food, we got some samples and made our pizza. I think the two things that works for this place — FAST and AFFORDABLE. The pizza is not that big, a HUNGRY person can easily demolish that. 5 minutes for making a pizza, so you can always go back and get some more. The place has good area and good seating arragements. I think the pies they have here are good as well, though it might be a little hard to eat(with a toothpick — got some samples as well). Pizza tastes very normal, nothing extra-ordinary, I hope they add a lot more veggies than what they did on PRE-OPENING night, but the service is FANTASTIC and staff is really friendly.

4 stars for location, fast and friendly service, taste, and the ability to choose and add as your heart desires, all for $ 6.99! Thank you to Unilocal event, they opened their doors to Unilocal elites to sample their menu the night before their grand opening. It was so great that we came back on the day they opened. The idea is to make your pizza within 5 minutes so hey, select your toppings and get that pizza moving. You can make your own pizza or if you’re indecisive, they can help with that too. They have a menu of already selected pizza like bbq chicken and Windy City pizza. I love making my own and i love their thin crust. Get creative and get all 3 kinds of cheese or put everything you can think of on your pizza. Eat your heart out!!!

Came here last night. Got the Windy City pizza. I thought it was going to be dry since they use the whole minimal sauce concept. However much to my surprise, it tasted amazing. Flavors were on point and the crust was perfectly cooked. I also tried my wife buffalo chicken on thin & a friend’s make-your-own pizza, both of which were great. I was blown away with how good & reasonably priced everything is. Additionally, the staff was pleasant and nice. I definitely anticipate returning.

Hurray to special preview events! When I saw a new shop go in on my way to work, I had to do some investigating online to find out what this Pie Five place was. Pie Five Pizza Co officially opens April 10th but I was lucky enough to go a special preview event for lunch today. And I’m so kind and generous, I brought along my lunch crew of five fellas to chow down, as well. When I found out another pizza place was opening, I thought to myself… is this really necessary? But Pie Five has a slightly different twist on the normal pizza experience. It’s more of a fast casual pizza dining spot and their whole schtick is your pizza will be done in five minutes(pie FIVE). So basically Pie Five is the Roti/Chipotle/Potbelly’s of pizza. You can either order one of their speciality pizzas or make your own, you can pick a salad(why would you do that!?), or try one of their three desserts which all sound mouthwatering. Many of their speciality pizza combos sound mighty delicious to me like the Chicken Carbonara pizza — alfredo sauce, mushrooms, chicken, bacon & parmesan?! Yes, please. I actually loved this pizza. It’s normally $ 6.99 and the ingredients went together quite well, fabulous tasting alfredo sauce, solid crust. My coworkers were saying they wished their pizza choices had a bit more meat though. The personal pizza completely filled me up! They have a Coke Freestyle! I never get tired of these things. I think they are an essential for a fast casual spot like this and I’m very happy they have one! Locked myself up some Mello Yello Zero Cherry baby. I really wanted to try all three of their dessert options but settled on trying just one as to not be the gluttonous monster I truly am. I went with the Chocolate Chip pie, with the other options being brownie or turtle. They do their desserts in the same round pizza style format in which you can get a slice for $ 1.69 or the whole shebang for $ 9.99. I actually loved my slice of cookie yumness. I’m dying to try the other desserts on the menu. Our overall consensus is it’s definitely a place we’d come back. We’d all like to try some of the different menu options but were happy with the prices, the food, the drink options and the service was great. Of course it’s pre-opening but it’s still kind of funny hearing managers remind employees to smile. These were some super happy employees though I must say. One guy in particular who was taking the pizzas out of the oven, he should get a gold star for friendliness and happiness, he could light up a room! ha! Welcome to Schaumburg, Pie Five Pizza! You’re going to be a great lunch option for us business folk in the area.
