Established in 2004.

David A. Ven Horst and Thomas G. Koelzer formed Tenant Advisors Inc. in April 2004. Their vision was to give Chicago office space tenants a powerful advocate, by providing them expert office tenant representation in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Today, Tenant Advisors is acknowledged as a leader in tenant advocacy for the Chicago commercial real estate marketplace.

Meet the Business Owner

Thomas K.

Business Owner

Prior to co-​founding Tenant Advisors Inc., David and Tom were First Vice Presidents at CB Richard Ellis, where they started their real estate careers in the Chicago office in 1986. Together they have completed over 1,200 Chicago commercial real estate lease and sale transactions.

David is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-​Champaign, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. He received his CPA designation in 1983. David lives in Saint Charles with his wife Barb and three children, Kate, Alex and Jack.

Tom is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Tom lives in Barrington with his wife Julie and two sons, Tommy and Michael.
