I guess this review is long overdue, but I wanted to take the time to say that Dave continues to do a superlative job when it comes to window tinting. First, I should mention that the old Shop on Central got decimated by a truck last year, and they are working out of a temporary location until the new site is ready. With all of this, they were professional and very accommodating to our schedule. This was the third car I’ve had done by Tint King; the first was my Jeep in 2008, the second my Subaru in 2014. Eve with all the offroading I’ve done in the Jeep and the abuse it’s taken, the tinted windows STILL look like new. It’s crazy. This time it was a belated birthday present for my wife. Dave tinted the windows on her 2016 Forester. She loves the car, but felt is wasn’t sexy enough and, while she likes the visibility out in the car, she didn’t like the visibility in. Dave took the time to explain the tinting options and she couldn’t be happier with the results. I have to admit, it really does make a big difference cosmetically and now she also doesn’t need a shade stuck to the back window for our 9 month old. Best of luck to Tint King with the new site.

This was the 2nd time I’ve trusted Tink King to tint a vehicle I’ve owned, and I’ll continue to come back. The receptionist was super polite and accomodating (my appointment was the following day). The computer cut pattern is flawless and the quality of Llumar (lifetime guarantee) can’t be beat. I always opt for 15% tint which keeps the heat out in the summer and also allows for privacy as my vehicle often doubles as a dressing room.

Tint King is a tint shop. Why I am wasting my time reviewing a place like this you ask? Simply because the quality of the work at this shop is second to none. It is a professionally run business that uses super accurate machine cut templates and quality film. The downside is that they are more expensive than most of the hole in the wall hood shops.
If you have what would be considered a nice car and a reputable job of some sort this is your place. If you are considering buying a roll yourself and or running limo tint on the just the rear windows (TIGHT) you can get away with one of the more questionable establishments.
The Bottom Line: If you are going to tint you car in the Capital District this is by far the best place to have it done.

Every three years I get a new car, and I have used Tint King product on my last three cars. I have been totally satisfied with their work. Before you make a decision as to what you want, you are shown a large picture gallery of different models of cars with various types of tint, so you can judge what your car will look like upon completion. You are also shown the actual tint that will be applied, with guidance as to the legality of each strength. Your total cost is clearly explained. After choosing, the application takes about an hour. Absolutely amazing how much it adds to your cars appearance. I highly recommend this stress free upgrade. Best to make an appointment, as they seem to be fairly busy.

I had to get windows tinted on my work car. I looked at a couple places and landed here. The staff was very helpful, both on the phone and in the showroom. The owner had to adjust my appointment by about 20 minutes, which was not a big deal, considering he was working on a couple vehicles ahead of mine. I know I would be happy to wait an extra 20 minutes to be sure the quality of the product they put out is the best. I am a big believer in quality vs. quantity. So I don’t mind waiting for something that is worth while.
The results were excellent. The tint was very professional looking, as I had expected, and there were no bubbles. It is very early, but based on the appointment made, the installation time, the curiousness of the employee and the owner, and the initial appearance, I will definitely be brining my personal cars here.

I wanted to get my windows tinted, but didn’t pull the trigger until my boyfriend said he’d checked around, this place looked good, they were running a small discount special and he was getting his done right then.
Soooo I drove on down, picked out the tint and got it done. It is a small place with one or two guys working. If they are working on a car, you might stand in the office for a moment or two until they come in but the guy who helped me seemed nice and efficient. They have samples of tint levels to look at and make sure you know if you choose a tint which is illegal, in fact they have you sign a paper acknowledging the fact.
I got my windows tinted from Tint King over a year ago and have had no problems with the film at all. They have a guarantee against bubbling and such, but we’ve never had any issues.

DO NOT GET TINT HERE!!! GO TO SHOWROOM CAR CARE IN SCOTIA!
Owner is very rude, and not accommodating to clients. The shop is a retail tint store and is not open on weekends. i asked owner to tint my car on a sat and he laughed and said he would not work on a sat. after a few weeks the owner called me back and said he would come in on a sat to tint my windows. i had an appointment which the owner was 20 min late showing up to. 8 months later my wife had gotten a scratch in the tint and called him to see if he could repair the scratch. the Owner was very rude and stated the warranty did not cover scratches. offered to re tint the window for $ 200, seeing as i only paid $ 190 to have my whole car done i laughed at the guy. I will be calling other tint shops in the area to re-​tint my window.
