Owner is a asshole… poor service… I wouldn’t feed this crap to my dog… this place is a dump… I’m personally glad they finally closed this shit hole…

Very odd experience overall. Went in on a Friday night and there were about 25 people there — half outside and half inside. If you’re a smoker, the deck appears to be pretty much built for you. It’s large, and we’re not smokers, but wanted to enjoy the outdoors. We were the only ones not smoking out there and every seating area had an ashtray on it.
Our waitress came out and took our drink orders and brought them out pretty quickly. She checked back in to make sure they were OK, and then took our food order. We split an order of chicken nachos — well, nachos anyway as we had to do a Where’s Waldo hunt for the chicken. The menu does not describe them in much detail except to say they have chicken and short rib options — well, that night only the chicken option as they were out of rib meat, but they apparently were a bit short on chicken too.
That said, the nachos were OK, just not as the waitress had described them. The chips were the lighter ‘puffy’ type, and were coated in an orange cheese, some veggies, the aforementioned smattering of chicken, and an extremely generous portion of guacamole, which was actually quite good — just not something that had been mentioned during our order.
The smokers were rotating around the deck to access outlets to charge their electronics, so we opted to call it quits after the nachos and hit the road. Building was nicely remodeled, deck was big, but didn’t have a ton of seating. The planter pots had not been refilled with new plants, and at least one had been used as an ashtray.

Some very unique and good food, that you wouldn’t expect to find here. I would avoid the calamari though. it was very tough/​rubbery, but I should have known better., this isn’t an Italian restaurant. It did however have a nice white sauce, rather than your traditional marinara. The Greek fries were very good and a nice non-​traditional option. The presentation was very nice and definitely not what you would expect. Also, great service.

This place was great! The foot long grilled cheese was amazing! Prime rib sandwich was excellent and the side salad is enormous! This is a little gem. There was hardly anyone there. It is very nice and modern there good mix of bar stools and tables. Please check this place out, you won’t be sorry.

Most week nights it is a nice quiet place to relax
and unwind, plenty of seating.
Can’t wait to check it out on a Saturday night…
Plenty of TV’s for the Blackhawks games too.
Nice outdoor patio, bring on the hot weather!

Great staff, great food, great place. Everyone here was so nice and very friendly. The Dj on the weekend was awesome. Played a good variety of music. I will definitely be back very soon!

I thought this only happens on bar rescue. I was in there on a hot date Friday night I ordered a vodka bull. After whisking around the straw through the ice I noticed a god damn fruit fly in my drink! I gagged I notified the bartender immediately and she replaced my drink with a half full glass!!! Last time I go there! I only gave 1 star because the owner shook my hand upon walking in.

Love this place always great service, food (chopped salad is my favorite) and drinks. They were a great host for our Christmas party! Definitely planning another party there!

you can sit at the bar watch sports on many large screen lcd’s behind the bar. there’s dinner seating inside too.

Wedding guests beware, this bar is running a scam with the Comfort Suites next door. There is no hotel overflow parking so when one parks next door, in River Rock’s lot, they get towed. I understand that they are 2 different companies and each parking lot is for their respective patrons, BUT this mistake happens so often the bartenders literally have stacks of tow company business cards to hand to each tow victim. They know this is a problem and they do nothing to help anyone; they just sit back to reap their reward at the expense of us poor fools. This might be a great bar, I have no idea. But all I know is that I will never give my business to an establishment that participates in such dishonest activity. And I hope you don’t either.

The nachos were very good and the male bartender was very nice – not only attentive to my party but very attentive to everyone in general. Very organized. Decent prices on american drafts and bottles. A lot of this changes but overall very nice!

River rock is awesome! Such a nice sports bar and the food is amazing! You have to try the baja burger and grilled cheeses you will love it! The patio is awesome to dine and drink with friends on the comfortable couches :). The staff is super nice and friendly and make sure they take care of you! You will not be dissappointed!

Greek pork skewers were fatty, who puts lemon on french fries, chicken quesodilla was just ok, side salad came with two tiny cucumbers, a half of carrot and half of tomato… they forgot my breadstick.
Glad the games were on. Just go for the beer!

The fries were, meh, not great.
Over all– awesome dinner experience though.
The place was empty– only a couple guys there getting drinks. Which is a shame because everything was awesome about this place, more people should go there!

This is a really nice sports bar! The staff is super friendly and the food was off the chain! Definitely has much better food than your average sports bar. If you go there you definitely want to try the burgers, grilled cheese, sliders and wings, And this is just the food that I tried! Also it seems like the place attracts a pretty good crowd. I’ll definitely be going there again!

Cold beer and great bartending. Didn’t have to food yet, but plan to very soon.
A definite upgrade to what was here before.

New owners and newly remodeled! Bar feels like it belongs in Wicker Park. Great feel. Reasonable prices didn’t try the food but sounds good.

I live in Schiller Park, so when I noticed that someone was going to open up where Rogs was, I waited in anticipation. Went there with my wife one night to give it a try. Nice deck bar, we enjoyed the evening and staff was friendly. Was told it was a soft opening, so we didn’t mind that the bar was not fully stocked and there was not much food to choose from. We felt that give them time to work out the problems and we will come back. The reason for the 2 stars comes from when I got my credit card bill. What I signed for was $ 25.00 with a $ 5.00 tip. What I was charged was $ 55.00 and since their receipt did’t have their name on it, I could not dispute it. What a shame Don’t trust them with your credit card!

The food was so good! Awesome burgers and Mac and cheese! The staff is so friendly too. This place is nicely done inside, there is a lot of room and awesome patio!

I’ve been here a few times since it opened last week and it is a major improvement from Rogs. Inside completely redone, the outside patio is new and improved with lots of comfortable couches to sit back and relax. Spoke to the owner Billy and there are more improvements to come. I can’t wait. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. They don’t have a full menu yet but what they have looks and tastes great. This is going to be my regular stop when i need to get out. Stop by. You will not be disappointed.
