I don’t see the need for professional attire at this library. Yeah, there are some that wear jeans, but so what? It’s a small town and the usual patrons are kids and older adults from here… meaning we all know each other. The staff is always willing to help you find a book, talk to you about it, and always willing to find it at other locations if they don’t have it. While visiting this town on the weekends I sometimes come here to study before the kids come over. It’s kind of hard controlling 15 – 20 kids who are not yours so don’t expect peace and quiet for very long once the kids get out of school. Other than that, I have no complaints! The library is always clean, there’s a section just for small kids, and a good variety of movies to check out.

This is a nice small community library; however, do not come here to study or seek out quiet time. The staff(Thaddeus and the other staff member who dresses unprofessionally in jeans and tennis shoes) are totally ignorant to their patronage. They talk across the stacks with instructions and questions to each other. Jeans staffer loudly greets patrons at the desk and carries on conversations with them. I have learned about patrons feeding their animals and recipes they are experimenting. I have never seen Thad or Jeans ask a patron to whisper. I entered the computer room to seek solace and quiet so I could study but was abruptly told the door could not be closed. Although the library is clean and organized, it is NOT a place to study, gather thoughts, or have quiet reflection.
