Elevations Health Club offers world-class fitness facilities with a small town feel. Every health club has the same checklist of «stuff». Come in to meet our staff and try our facilities to see why we’re different.
Best time to go is around 9am. It’s pretty quiet and I’d much rather work out in peace! They have a good selection of different classes which are all included, which I think is really awesome.

I was a member here when they had the original place in the late ’90’s, and they didn’t hold my interest for long. I just re-joined this health club in January, and I now love it! I find myself here about five times per week. What do I love? The cardio machines with personal TV sets on each, the large weight room that never makes you wait for equipment, and of course the pool! They even have a juice/snack bar, that I have not yet tried. I recently started taking classes here, and have enjoyed all of them so far. Each has its own flavor. Bodypump is a huge hit, and lots of fun(and work). They also have Yoga/Pilates, Waterworks, Ab Ripper, Extreme Stretch, and many more. They put out a monthly schedule and mix it up nicely. The only thing I can’t seem to find here are towels, but I just bring my own — in case i need it.

I moved from the Poconos two years ago, and one of the few things I miss is Elevations Health Club. For some time, I was one of those gym rats that went pretty much every day after work, enduring the long renovation project three years ago. When I joined Elevations, though, I never worked out; I’m grateful for the encouragement of the staff at Elevations, because they helped me begin a life of fitness. I had tried a couple of other gyms in the Poconos, and no one seemed to notice whether I came or not. At Elevations, I felt like I was missed when I wasn’t able to make it for a couple of weeks. The facility now is one of the best in the Poconos. The exercise room has a terrific view and, if I’m remembering correctly, TVs on each cardio machine. The weight room is large and well-equipped, and the pool is clean and well-maintained. The staff was always friendly, and when I once ran into an issue with an employee, Rob(one of the two owners) was swift and compassionate in his response. What I mostly went for, though, were the exercise classes. Dawn is enthusiastic and friendly. I still haven’t been able to find a step aerobics class that even comes close to measuring up. Unfortunately, I don’t know many of the people who are currently teaching group fitness classes. If I had any complaints, it was that sometimes the classes got a little stale, particularly the yoga classes. And the members are sometimes cliquey, but I suppose that’s to be expected, as they’ve been working out together for years. All in all, a terrific gym. Wish I could find a suitable replacement!
