My favorite cajun restaurant in lafayette(scott). Large variety of entrees. Feezos has something for everybody!

Excellent place to pop in as we headed home to Texas from Florida. Right off the freeway so that was big plus. Our big group tried lots of different things. Started with the hush puppies which were awesome, spinach/artichoke dip(just ok) and cheese sticks that were really good as well. Great gumbo — would go with cup vs bowl… cup is plenty especially if you order appetizers. The oyster poboy was awesome as was the fried shrimp. Kids had chicken tenders, Mac/cheese and corn dogs. Super portion sizes and all very tasty.

This place use to be fantastic. Fresh fried seafood, good gumbo, crawfish or crab bisque, charbroiled oysters and poboys. 7 people came out to eat tonight and no one liked their food. The bisque was like pudding with no seafood flavor. I expressed my concerns and the manager came out apologized. They sent us home with two bread puddings on the house. It was nice of them. Hopefully this is a one time occurrence.

We traveled to Lafayette for a 3 day Mardi Gras weekend getaway, and we needed a cajun seafood fix. :) We had a late lunch, and it was amazing! Service was excellent! We had the chargrilled oysters… OMG amazing! These are the best chargrilled oysters that I have ever had, and I have eaten them in Houston, New Orleans, and Houma as well. Then we split the crawfish half and half w/sauteed crawfish tails & étouffée. The étouffée was seasoned very well… delicious and rich! The sauteed tails were so tender and tasty! There will definitely be a return visit next time we are in Lafayette area.

We were apprehensive about eating at a restaurant directly on I10 but were we so glad we did. Everything we ordered(except the hush puppies which were slightly u fer poked) was delicious. The service was great, it was clean and the tables were spaced out nicely. We had gumbo, crab cakes, steal, shrimp pasta and catfish bites. Everything was generously seasoned and cooked just right.

The frog leg platter was awesome! We got a side of red beans and sausage, and it was so flavorful! Also, service was quick– we were and and out within 30 minutes. —- My husband and I always share a frog leg platter every time we drive through this area on I-10. Everything tasted delicious, and our waitress Malinda was excellent!

A casual comfortable place to enjoy flavorful filling food. Server was very friendly and competent. Charbroiled oysters were good as was the crawfish bisque which I hadn’t had in many years. My wife felt her fish was over cooked but the bite I tasted seemed fine to me — although it did look a little lonely sitting by itself in the dish(I forget what her side was). Not fine dining but then it isn’t meant to be.

The menu is deceptive. I ordered Phil’s Seafood Festival for $ 29.99, thinking it would be grilled, but when Dolly brought out my meal it was all fried. Very disappointed. We looked at the menu together and most of the fried dishes clearly indicated they were fried in the description. But when you look at Phil’s Seafood Festival, it doesn’t indicate that: Large cup of seafood gumbo served with a platter of oysters, shrimp, fish, frog leg, crab cake, stuffed shrimp & seafood étouffée over rice. In fact, most of the pictures you see online are of grilled food, so it was assumed that what I ordered would be grilled. Instead I got fried everything, and it all tasted the same. If you eat here… make sure you clarify if you want grilled food or they will give you fried food.

An average rating of 3.5 at the moment of writing this review and that sounds about right. I had the grilled salmon. It came with a salad and I added a side of fries. It was good but not spectacular. Same for the service. For the money I would have expected slightly better.

Love love love this place. A must stop for first timers in the area. The service is always very good and the food never fails. The menu is filled with all the favs from the area and you will leave stuffed. It’s worth every penny and you won’t spend much, great for groups or just to go watch the game for happy hour or later in the evenings. Get their early for lunch because this place fills fast. This is one my favs in the area and I try not to leave without getting some great food from here. A must visit!

This place came highly recommend to me but there are two? The first one is located in Crowley and is called Fezzo’s Steak and Seafood and this one i called Fezzo’s. So I checked into the first one before I realized that it was not the one I wanted. The first one didn’t match up to my Unilocal address and location so i pushed on from Crowley to Scott and found the second one. I got here a few minutes early so i waited in the parking lot until they opened. I ordered a margarita while I looked over the menu the I ordered the same dishes that was recommended by my fellow Unilocaler. I had a house salad and then had a bowl of gumbo and the fried catfish and red beans. All were delicious. The catfish were in several filets and was fried with the right amount of crispiness, the gumbo was good for a restaurant, but not as good as homemade. The red beans had smoke sausage in it and was very good. I will definitely stop in on my next trip to sample a few other dishes I saw on the menu.

We got to visit Louisiana for a short while, and one of my in-laws kept talking about this place. So off we went and tried this place for dinner. I ordered the Seafood pasta(which I believe was a seafood etouffe on top of linguine), and my husband ordered Crawfish étouffée. I also got to try bisque for starters, which in itself is very filling. The food in itself was good, very heavy and filling. But I was underwhelmed with the lack of flavor because most of it tasted monotonous. The ambiance is alright — homey, casual. But what blew me away was the service — the servers are so warm and friendly, and really sought to give great service. Perhaps if we visit again, we’ll come back and try their other dishes. Though unbeknownst to us yet, I’m sure the people rave about this place for good reasons. :)

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. First off, I’d like to compliment our waiter, Aaron. He was very polite and took great care of us. Also, Chris, the manager is awesome! Ok now on to the food. I tried the seafood gumb and it was perfect — I have no critique. The base has just the right amount of spice and you can taste the different spices used. And it’s us just the right balance of broth to goodies. Then I tried the boudin balls. The crust is thin and crispy — just right. I do t like«bready» boudin balls. And the dirty rice inside is wet and bursting with flavor!!! Now about this catfish — the fried catfish is light and meaty, seasoned to perfection. I chose red beans and rice as my side — nice balance of sweet and spicy flavor. The bread pudding is aromatic and tasty. Lastly, I love the house hot sauce. I purchased a bottle along with the house garlic sauce and Cajun seasoning. I SHALLRETURN!

Always good food, love the gumbo, friendly staff, amazing rolls, food is always good, fresh oysters, good environment, steaks have been consistent and cooked to request every time. I eat here often when in Scott for training classes. If you have not eaten here, the hardest decision is what to get off the menu. I recommend the taste it approach, order what you want and eat a little of everything. Staff is friendly and courteous! Thank you for great dining experiences over the years!

Excellent seafood as you’d expect! Oh, and the rolls are homemade and delicious. They only give you one per entrée, you have to pay for more :-(But, if you’re very sweet to your wait staff, they might give you one more. I split the Huge fried seafood platter with my husband. Everything was perfectly fried: crisp, not soggy, hot, fresh. The food could not have been better and our waitress was friendly… so, why 4 as opposed to 5 stars? Well, my husband ordered a beer and they gave him a SMALL mug(12oz) for $ 6! We are used to a 16 oz mug for that price. Also, the pecan pie was a TINY sliver of pie. The platters of food are huge, but the desserts are tiny. The pie was cold — I’m used to most restaurants serving room temp or warm pecan pie. This one was right out of the ice box. Don’t let the small beers and desserts distract you :-) I would go back here due to friendly service and large, well prepared entrees. It is worth the trip!

Tried the po boy with fried crawfish, fried shrimp, and fried oysters. I was not impressed, nor would I order it again because everything was not in good proportion. There was such small amounts of lettuce, or any other toppings. The bread was so thick I had to peel a lot of the bread maza out. I ordered extra lettuce though so it was better. I also took out all the fried oysters because they didn’t taste good at all. With all the adjustments on my sandwich I decided to just eat the inside with a fork and eat the bread separately . Ordered the cheese sticks. No complaints there Ordered the oysters Rockefeller and they were tasty but I couldn’t get over the amounts of melted butter. Ate two and shared the rest because I couldn’t feel good about myself knowing the amounts of butter I was eating
