Large, comfortable and air-​conditioned classroom. We offer rental equipment made just for women for the added safety and comfort of our female students and customers. Our Motto is «Safety Through Education». Pro Scuba Dive Center is a Scubapro Platinum Shop. We stock a full range of Scubapro products, service all makes of Scubapro equipment and provide a full rental department. We are the only shop providing both men’s and woman’s rental gear, so you can be sure to have a comfortable dive! Our staff of Instructors can meet your training needs from Basic Scuba thru Scuba Instructor! We are a NAUI Pro training shop and can provide certifications for NAUI, PADI, TDI and Handicapped Scuba programs. Need your SCUBA merit Badge? You come to the right shop! History

Established in 2013.

You could travel the world from coast to coast, east to west or plane ticket by plane ticket but nothing above the surface can really prepare you for the wonders that lie below. Under the water lies a whole other world to explore, from the most colorful reefs to the amazing plethora of sea-​life. Here at Pro Scuba Dive center, we pride ourselves on being the gateway to that experience. Our friendly staff have spent years sharing their passion for diving with our customers and community. Business Owner

Dave began scuba diving in Monterey bay in 1975.

He retired from one of the largest police departments in Calif. were he was the director of their Training Unit.

Dave is a Instructor for NAUI; PADI; TDI & Handicap Scuba Assoc.; he is also a NAUI Course Director.

Dave has his US Coast Guard 50 ton Masters License (Vessel Captain)/ Tow Permit and has crewed on the Monterey Dive fleet vessels, Escapade & Beach Hopper II. He is a certified Scubapro Repair Technician.

Small shop, kind of hard to find, and limit parking… but this is still one of the best dive shops around. The customer service alone gets five stars for their professionalism and amazingly friendly attitudes toward strangers. All of the gear is in excellent condition and they actually have suits that are tailored for women, surprise surprise. If you’re thinking of taking scuba lessons, this is your place.

Very nice couple that owns the shop, I have been a few times to buy things for my son and they are always extremely friendly and helpful. My son took lessons there and really enjoyed it, and still goes back to rent gear. Great little local shop with good selection and very high quality rental gear!

Pro Scuba Dive Center is a very welcoming shop. It made me feel comfortable from the start thanks to Dave and Cheryl. They are both very knowledgeable, experienced divers with plenty of honest opinions to offer their customers and students. I have completed the NAUI Scuba Diver course at this shop and it was a great experience. I plan to continue furthering my diving skills at this shop and it is definitely QUALITY material that you will be receiving for your money. Dan and Clare were great instructors who were always there to help, with the excellent help of our TA Chris. I approve!

Dave, Cheryl and Dan were so wonderful. I was a bit nervous about learning to scuba dive but they were really wonderful about answering all my questions and providing me with all the information I needed to feel comfortable. I am so glad I choose Pro Scuba.

Pro Scuba Dive Center is most likely the best dive shop I have ever been to. The owners are very helpful, and will answer any question you throw at them. I took the Scuba Diver class, and I LOVED it. The classes lasted a few weeks, and went over every chapter of the book in great detail. The pool and ocean dives were fun, safe, and very useful. I just finished the class yesterday and I will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Pro Scuba is a wonderful place when it comes to diving. Dave and Cheryl are super nice and patient, as well as knowledgeable. I did my beginner class with Dave and a couple of other instructors, who are also nice and easy-​going. Dave have been very helpful and encouraging. He laid out options to fit my schedule and has been very kind. Highly recommended!

Pro Scuba is the best dive shop I’ve been to! The owners, Dave and Cheryl are VERY knowledgeable and have a love of the ocean that they share with their customers. They also have always had the customers’ best interests at heart; I’ve never felt like they were trying to sell me something I didn’t want or need.
I just finished taking a basic scuba class with ProScuba; it was an excellent experience. It was very comprehensive with an emphasis placed on dive safety. After talking to other friends that have taken dive classes from other shops, I feel like I got a more complete diving experience. Dan was my instructor and he went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that all of his students fully understood the material.

This scuba shop and NAUI training facility is outstanding! Dave, Cheryl and their team are thoughtful, encouraging and excellent instructors. My 15 year old daughter and I did the basic training together. It was exciting, challenging and rewarding! I highly recommend learning to scuba dive, and if you do, go with Pro Scuba!

This is a phenomenal shop! The three owners are very well experienced, kind, courteous and willing to speak with you at length about your options in SCUBA. I have taken many classes with Dave and Cheryl and been diving with the other instructor, Dan. All three are fantastic. They are most concerned with training their students to be safe, conscientous divers! I would recommend any class from them and their caliber of products are second to none! Best dive shop I’ve ever been to!

This shop is the best! I have taken multiple classes here and all prices are straight forward and easy to understand. They are not «Cheap In, Expensive out»! This is the shop that I will continue to use for ANY classes that I take. The instructors are the best I’ve had and will take the time to make sure you are a safe diver.

The Shop: Is amazing, the staff is always welcoming and very helpful on educating you on the product they sell and what may be best suited for you. They offer amazing travel deals and even have a dive club that meets every month to further your education on the dive world.
Training: I got my basic cert. 2 years ago in Pennsylvania, it was a one on one class, «Cheap in, Expensive out» (nothing but hidden fees), and just when I thought I knew everything I decided to take my advanced course. I signed up, no hidden fees (what you see is what you pay), and Not only did i NOT know everything i needed to coming into the class but Dave and Cheryl were so kind as to teach me, no questions asked. I felt i had let the other divers down in the class not being as prepared as they were but I was reassured i would catch on quickly and I wasn’t a burden. After the weekend of instruction and diving i felt i had caught up with the class and i was finally were i should be.

Best dive shop I’ve ever been to. Taken classes with several different shops and instructors, but I’ve never felt safer, more comfortable, and more open to ask questions than with the owners of this shop. Dave and Cheryl are awesome.
In addition to offering NAUI classes, they carry top of the line gear, and hold fun events for their dive club «Scuba Squad.» Support your local dive shop and go to these guys, they’re the best in Santa Cruz and all around.

Highly recommend
I just completed: open water, O2, CPR, and first aid classes under Dave and Cheryl’s instruction. I find the classes extremely informative and challenging, but fun as well. Compared to other dive shops, they are really good at communication– letting you know what dates classes will be and asking when they will work best for you. The staff at Pro Scuba really know their stuff and can give you good advice on whatever kind of dive you are planning. If you are feeling like window shopping for some new gear, they have some amazing products at reasonable prices.

Pro Scuba Dive Center is a great facility. Everything in the store is well thought out, and their commitment to high quality is evident as soon as you enter the shop. All of the rental gear and service equipment is high end. All tanks are steel high pressure, and available with a pro-​valve for a DIN or yoke first stage.
The staff are very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, experienced and highly qualified. NAUI Classes are regularly offered for a variety of basic and advanced certifications. The instructors are very accommodating and thorough, and offer a great experience in the classroom through the pool and ocean. I highly recommend them for instruction for an introduction, a refresher or advancing your skills.
This store is also associated with the Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) and has both an HSA certified instructor and HSA certified Divemaster.
There is a a free active dive club (Scuba Squad) available through the store that has regular well attended meetings and club dives. The community is very active and it is easy to find a dive buddy who can dive with you at your skill level and availability. Call or ask at the store for more information.

This is without a doubt, the best scuba shop in Santa Cruz County. This place has it all. The shop is spacious and clean. They have an amazing compressor system. The staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They have rentals, top of the line gear, a pretty sweet classroom for all their training and even offer dive vacations. I love the place and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dave & Cheryl have trained me and supported me to become a safe, happy SCUBA diver. I trust them in any situation, knowing they will do everything possible to ensure my safety. Their new shop is gorgeous and they have incredible support from the community. It’s a huge plus knowing their air supply is new and squeaky clean.
