Wells Fargo Bank

I must be a thief, or a scoundrel, or a sub standard human being.
Today I presented a check from a company, drawn on Wells Fargo. As I understand it, a check serves as an instrument a bank uses to move money around. I was told that since I do not have an active account of any kind with Wells Fargo, that my check could not be cashed. Now, mind you, this was not a cash withdrawal like the Shawshank Redemption. This was a pittance, barely enough for a tank of gas.
A manager was summoned. I was required to produce two forms of ID, and, I had to leave my inked thumbprint on the memo line.
Who are these people? Maybe they are high school graduates, maybe they have a few business school classes under their belt, but a suit and tie, or job in a bank, does not make you better than me… Or anyone for that matter. After all, didn’t Jesus throw the money lenders and merchants OUT of the temple? Wells Fargo foreclosed on many homes in our circle. And, all those loans were insured by taxpayers like me. Wells Fargo got those homes and the FDIC money. As a taxpayer, I helped that process. That makes us almost equal.
I truly hope to someday be in a position where I can return the rectal exam caliber treatment my check cashing adventure put me through today. Instead of leaving happy that I had cash in my hand, I left feeling like a pedophile or meth head… Neither of which are me. Treat everyone how YOU would like to be treated, and drop the snobby attitude Wells Fargo. It’s not the way nice people should be treated.

Just opened a business account with them. I have never had a more pleasant experience with a bank. Absolutely wonderful customer service. I am so glad I made the choice to bank with them.

The staff here has been extremely friendly to me so far and has never once given me any problems.
If anything they have always been one step ahead of me and made things easier for me in the long run.

To a degree, a bank is a bank is a bank. They’re there to make money off of dealing with our money, so anytime we deal with a bank we’re well advised to tighten our purse strings and keep our eyes open; that’s just reality. Personally I try to keep my finances simple; I have a checking account, a savings account, and a credit card at Wells Fargo, and that’s it. They only have two ways to make money off me; fees on my checking and/​or savings, and interest on my credit card.
When dealing with my checking and savings they seem to take an interest in avoiding as many fees for me as possible; last time I came in someone actually said «oh, wait, you don’t have to be paying this monthly fee anymore. We can set up an automatic monthly transfer to your savings and that waives the fee. Both accounts are totally free then. Do you want to do that today?» Why, yes. Yes I did.
It’s the credit card dealings that haven’t been so great. I came in to ask about negotiating my interest rate since it’s the highest-​rate card I’ve got, and the guy I talked to just didn’t seem to want to take the time to think about it. He made a phone call that I theoretically could’ve made myself, got the same «no» I likely would’ve gotten myself, and didn’t take it any further — no push or hustle on my behalf. Actually he suggested I do a balance transfer to a lower-​rate card, which seemed strange to me. Are Wells employees instructed that it is better to send the customer elsewhere and let the competition get 15% annual interest rather than taking a few minutes to perhaps shave a percent off of a current customer’s interest rate (and therefore still totally clean up financially without having to do anything other than processing a payment once a month)? I realize I’m not a multimillion dollar account holder but if you can get about $ 30 a month in interest for doing absolutely nothing but sending an email and asking for it, and if you can do that from likely millions of people just like me… it seems like it’d be worthwhile, you know? To be treated as though they’d rather lose free money than help me on that was strange and oddly demoralizing.
Also, just as an FYI the new ATMs at this branch don’t work. You can get money out of them but making a deposit is unreasonably hard. Why an ATM that probably cost more than a luxury car doesn’t even recognize a single $ 20 bill I am really not sure.

I switched to Wells Fargo a few years ago and have nothing but good things to say about this bank, especially the one located in Scott’s Valley. I recently took a trip to Mexico and the online banking was extremely helpful. The people who work there took the time to figure out how to meet my banking needs. I have a lovely banker named Lindsay Brooks who does an exceptional job. There is also a great teller named Derek, I believe he moved to another Wells Fargo but he was really helpful too.
I’m taking the time to wright this review because I believe in excellent costumer service. If anyone out there is looking for an exceptional bank I highly recommend the Wells Fargo of Scott’s Valley.

I think Kim who works there is gorgeous. She oozes sensuality and has such a sultry look. I would endure any amount of bad service just to go in there and see her.

Love this branch! Tellers are so helpful and friendly! Patrick is the best! Every time I come in he is always so happy and greets every customer with a smile!

To look at him he looks like a schoolboy, but he has the experience and wisdom of a man that is much older than he appears.
