B & L Custom Towing

We called towing company and were waiting for over an hour for them to come. The charge is supposed to be $ 75 total. I have a roadside assistance with AMEX which cover first $ 50. They created an order number and gave it to a driver, so he will adjust my bill to $ 25 and get paid from AMEX $ 50. Right? WRONG!!! B and L Custom Towing’s charged me an original amount. I called and talked with a very rude gentlemen name Bill, If I can call him a «gentlemen» who said to get a credit of $ 50 I will need to provide him with a specific date of the transaction which I did. Still no refund.
I called him today. He pretty much said he will not going to give me a credit, screamed at me and hang up the phone. Thanks God for Amex, they are crediting me back $ 50 and filing a complaint on this company. BTW Amex called him while they were on the phone with me, «gentlemen Bill» putted them on endless hold.

I obtained this towing company through my roadside assistance coverage, after being told the $ 150.00 allowance would cover the 32 mike tow upon arrival the driver said it would cost another $ 40.00 CASH. When the driver arrived and I went to give him the cash and asked for a receipt, he then said if I wanted a receipt it would be $ 190.00, which I pointed out $ 150.00 plus $ 40.00 = $ 190.00, then the price jumped again and he said no it will be $ 220.00 and I had to pay our of pocket and turn it in to my insurance as a claim. He held my vehicle hostage and I was forced to pay him the cash and got no receipt. And the driver also commented on how ungrateful I was. Being involved with Fleet Management I have dealt with many towing companies and never had such a terrible experience as this.

This is the actual address needed if you ever have your vehicle impounded there from the Paradise Valley police. It is a small company owned by Bill and his wife L out of Scottsdale. They have been in business for over 5 years and do respectable work. He has a small fleet but they are not overpriced and take care of your vehicle. They do tow some off color things at times, ever need to haul rail road ties, tool boxes, or car frames? They have done those too!
