AVOID AT ALL COSTS/​0 stars if possible: One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a business. They are very unprofessional! It took 4 (yes 4 visits) for the issues to be repaired! I was using them through my home warranty company so I had to continue with them or pay another charge for a different company. Thankfully we were on winter break for part of it because they give you a 3 – 4 hour window as to when they will arrive, and if I had been working at the time I would have had to take off 4 days of work! They are supposed to call about 30 minutes before they arrive, but his did not always happen. Two of the times they just showed up without a call ahead of time. There were also many times that I would try and call the office (because things kept on breaking) and they would not return my phone calls or there phone numbers would not work. One of the most frustrating aspects was that supposedly everything was supposed to be covered from our initial $ 45 payment to the home warranty company. Our home warranty company did tell us before the fourth visit that if the technician had to move water or electrical lines we would have to pay a $ 100 fee. We agreed to those terms. When the tech did come and was finishing up my husband asked him if he had to move the lines and he told us he didn’t. Then he still tried to charge us the $ 100 fee. My husband explained that the fee was only for moving the lines, which he didn’t do, and said we would not be paying. Well we got charged anyways because they had my debit card on file from the initial payment. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION (OR YOUR BUSINESS FOR THAT MATTER)!!! I was shocked when I saw the payment on my bank statement. I tried to settle it directly with CNN but there primary number didn’t work and I left 2 messages on their emergency line and they never called me back. I had to have my bank settle the issue for me!

This company was dispatched from my warranty company, so I unfortunately had no say in the matter. While the technician came on time, he was dirty, disheveled and smelled like a brewery. He was rude and brash in speaking with him, and tried to collect more money after we advised him that we paid the fee already with Bethany over that phone (who wasn’t nice either).
This guy (I wish I knew his name) replaced the capacitor, and refused to check Freon. So from May 31 when he came to now, out air hasn’t been cold. A new company came and added 4 lbs of Freon!
I have since learned the CNN has been discontinued as a vendor by the warranty company because of these same issues. I think I heard that the technician was smoking pot. Anyway, that’s heresay. But my experience with the drunk A/​C technician was abominable.
Someone who is already having a hard time and has no air in summer does not need people who add to frustrations instead of fixing the problems and providing their customers some relief.
Don’t use this company! Bad business.

NO STARS: Read this Review before hiring CNN! The company is a complete disaster. As a business owner, I am embarrassed for this garbage company. It needs to conduct some serious restructuring and self evaluation. I would be very critical of positive reviews, including the one from Jen K (suspect to say the least).
About three-​four weeks ago (yes 3 – 4 weeks), our A/​C unit went down. My home warranty company contracted CNN to send a «technician» out to diagnose the problem. CNN’s «technician» did not possess the skill to properly diagnosis or repair the issue (s) so he had to «send someone else out that could fix it.» His lack of experience/​skill was further shown by the fact he left the side panel to the A/​C unit, which he had removed, on the ground and lost the screws. I have small children and did not appreciate their exposure to the motor and wiring (live or not). Before leaving, the «technician» indicated he would immediately call the office to contact me to make another appointment.
After not hearing from the office that day or the next, I called CNN’s office to schedule the service time. The office (Lisa) had no idea who I was or that a technician had even come out to my property. I actually had to describe the personal appearance of the technician so Lisa could contact him for information. I was told they would get to the bottom of it and immediately call me back. Two days later, I had not heard from Lisa so I called again. Again, she had no idea who I was or the problem with my A/​C unit.
Another day or two went by and finally a new technician was scheduled to fix the unit. He was scheduled for the late afternoon but did not arrive until about 7:30pm (Foolishly, I wasted my own time waiting for CNN to arrive on time). He stated he ordered the new parts for the A/​C unit and would have his office schedule to install the parts. After not hearing from CNN, I again called to schedule an appointment. Lisa gave us a 1 – 4:00 time block for the appointment. Surprise, surprise, CNN never showed!
The next day (Day 31 after the initial claim was made), no call from CNN. I left two messages, still no call from CNN. I then contacted the warranty company and demanded that they get CNN on the phone. Lisa had no explanation for the missed appointment and admitted it did not order the parts. She told the warranty company she would order the parts and call to schedule a service time.
(Day 33) Guess what’s coming, you are correct, CNN never called. We call the warranty company again who indicated the owner was not yet in the office (it was 10:30am) but CNN promised to call within the hour. 4 hours later and still no call. The warranty company is «investigating» but now we are forced to start the process all over again with another A/​C contractor.

This place is God awful. The worst company. We’ve been trying to get a hold of them for two days and they schedule a time between 1 and 4. they never showed up and never called. I tried contacting the emergency on call tech and the phone call is not picked up and I can’t leave a voicemail because the voicemail is full. Yet I then receive a phone call directly after and it is a «butt» dial. I can hear people drinking and eating. I call back they answer and then hang up. 3 minutes later they butt dial me again. This place deserves to go out of business. I am 20 weeks pregnant, have a 1 year older home and j take care of my father who is disabled and has dementia. My house is sitting in the 90s and this low life company can’t even do their job. Seriously NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I have no hooch since my home warranty is through this place, but never pay to use this awful, horrible completely low quality company. If I could give negative Stars I would.

No stars!!! The absolute worst company that we have ever dealt with. We are going on day 30 with little or no air conditioning. 13 days before they got it up and running. That lasted for a few days and the house will not cool down. It is 88 degrees upstairs right now, My husband and I are at the end of our rope. Our next call will be to an attorney and the media. We have a home warranty with First American and have used them for many years personally and have referred our Real Estate clients as well. When it really counts we have not been able to count on either of them. I cannot even begin to tell you the hours we have sat on the phone and been lied to. We have waited at home for them to show up and they do not and they do not call. We just pulled a mattress from upstairs downstairs hoping we might be able to get some sleep. My husband has gone to their place of business personally several times to see what the heck was going on. He says one employee outside smelled of alcohol early in the morning and the others inside sat on their desks. They also left our gate open and unlocked. If I had of let my dog out I might have lost him.
Entirely unprofessional!!! We are local business owners of over 45 years and cannot even imagine operating in this fashion. Avoid this company at all costs!

Absolutely terrible service. Our A/​C went out on Sunday, the soonest this company could come out was Tuesday. My husband received a voice mail at approximately 7:30 in the morning that the tech was on their way. My husband called the company before 8am, got their voice mail that they wouldn’t be open until 8am (why was he instructed to call the number then?) At 8:05, he called again, recording stated that due to the high number of calls, there would be a long wait but he could leave a message!) We both rushed home from work so that we would be sure one of us was home when the technician arrived. At 10:00, still no technician. 10:15 my husband received a call that the tech would be there in the next 30 to 90 minutes. Really???
The tech did arrive, confirmed what the issue was and advised my husband that the part would need to be ordered and a ticket submitted for the work to be done. Now we are being told Friday. The company that installed the a/​c a few years ago came out on Sunday and told us what was wrong and they could do the work. Unfortunately because the home warranty has an agreement with CNN, we can’t use the company that installed the a/​c, unless we pay for it out of pocket.
Shame on this company and the home warranty companies. The customers are stuck with bottom of the barrel service unless the customer is willing to pay out of pocket. Why have a home warranty then???

I want to share my recent experience with CNN refrigeration and offer a balanced perspective to the other reviews on this site. I gave them 5 stars and they deserve a top rating! I am NOT an CNN refrigeration employee… I’m a busy single mom of 3 kids who travels for work every week and I have limited time (and patience) for home repairs.
I came home on Thursday, July 2^nd to discover the AC in my children’s bedroom was not cooling. I called my home warranty company and they issued a work order to CNN Refrigeration.
Knowing it was the 4^th of July holiday weekend and the middle of summer in Arizona, I decided to be proactive and call CNN to get the repair scheduled. (The warranty company typically makes you wait 24 – 48 hours for the contractor to call you and schedule.) Waiting 48 hours to schedule and possibly longer to complete the repair was not an option. I left a message and explained that the AC unit that is not working cools my kids room and asked if my repair could be expedited. I got their voice mail on Thursday, July 2^nd and left 2 messages.
When I didn’t receive a response, I saw that the business was on Unilocal and used the «message the business» option. I sent a Unilocal message and explained my situation and received a response from Nicholas. Nicholas quickly responded to my message and said he could get a technician to my home in less than 24 hours– between 12−5pm on Friday, July 3^rd.
Initially, there was some miscommunication with the receptionist/​scheduler but Nicholas was responsive and committed to making the situation right. A wonderful technician came out (as promised) on Friday afternoon and completed the repair. Nicholas even followed up with me after the repair to ensure the work was completed to my satisfaction.
I saw some of the negative reviews on this site and I had to take the time to share my unbiased experience and sincere appreciation for a job well done! I am truly impressed with CNN Refrigeration’s service, responsiveness and professionalism and recommend them without hesitation.
Many times people won’t take the time to write a positive review and share what went right… I want to thank Nicholas and the team at CNN Refrigeration for their exceptional service!

I think the positive reviews are the employees or owners. Third time they have missed my appointment to fix my broken AC. They don’t answer their phone calls either.

One star is way to much for them. Very bad they can not keep there words.

Dispatched thru home warranty company and waited days & days for them to even call. Would waste my time using this company on purpose. Was even told even when they do come out, they’ll have to come back to fix anything anyways. But they could come out today for an extra fee?!?

These guys are not very professional, came without a ladder??? Then took two more days before they came back… If you can avoid them, do.

If you have a home warranty don’t bother trying to use them.
1.) They will never call you to schedule a home warranty visit, you have to keep on pestering them to send out a technician.
2.) Even if they schedule a technician, I’m 1 for 3 having them actually show up.
3.) Several times I have talked to a representative on the phone and been told they needed to look into something (like why the technician had not shown up) and that they would call me back. They will not call you back!
Under no circumstance would I recommend this company.

Tech came out for warrenty work addressed the problem very pleasant techs office personnel not very pleasant waiting 2 weeks for a cleaning unacceptable

I was sent CNN for my warranty work. They came within 24 hours, and completed the work. Because the office took the time to listen to my issue which happens about every 6 months, they fixed something that they told me will stop the repeated problem. I won’t know for sure for quite a while, but this was a good experience and I am very happy with what they did.

I read what everbody else wrote and I agree, they are HORRIBLE!!! We had to use them through out home warranty company. I can’t even go into all the details because it’s so frustrating and I don’t want to relive it. I reported them to the BBB.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Assigned this company from my home warranty company. WHAT A JOKE! Customer service the worst. Two techs came to home due to heating problem. First tech stated problem then never heard back for follow up repair. After repeated calls different tech came out over a week later and stated first tech misdiagnosed. This tech did not fix the problem. After three scheduled appointments to come back, no tech showed on any of the three appointments. Never received a call on two of the missed appointments. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are also owned by Higginbotham & Sons, so stay away from that company, too!!! I think its a joke that Unilocal has moved 3 negative reviews to not recommended. They all repeat what is stated here!!!

Worst business ever!!! I can’t even dignify this place with 1 star. My heater has been broken for over 3 weeks in the coldest months of the year. This is highly unacceptable. They sent out a technician who was not only completely incompetent, but also never even addressed my problem to the company. He never ordered the part, and I’m still without heat since 2014. They also have failed to return my phone calls on more than one occasion. This place should be examined by the BBB immediately.

I didn’t find this company by choice. .. my landlord’s home warranty company sent them out. The office staff called right away to schedule, and gave me a four hour window which I expected to be complete fantasy. Surprise! At the early end of the window the guy called to say he was on his way. He showed up and got right to work. I have no idea what he did, but the air is blowing cold and not making that strange noise anymore. He cleaned up, asked if there was anything I had questions about or wanted explained, and left me with the number to call if I have any problems. Overall a good experience out of a bad situation.
