Davis Circus of Illusion

This review is long over due. I received discounted adult tickets plus one free child ticket. This show surprised me. It was better than i had imagined.
Its a small quaint room so everyone is close to the action. I loved this aspect of the show.
The act starts with a few songs sung by his wife. She has a beautiful voice. The song choice is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea as there is an opera song in there.
Craigs magic act has some advanced magic acts that took me by surprise. Occasionally there were some ooops but Craig recovered effortlessly with humor.
His assistant is beautiful and talented acrobat and belly dancer.
They would love to be able to put on a show more often and I’d love that for them. My only suggestion is that the current price $ 38 is a bit too high.

THE cure for teen AND tween angst. (At least for the duration of the show). My children are tough spectators and I saw all their smiling teeth from the end of the row. We enjoyed the show, appreciated the variety… music, magic, dancing, bit of comedy.
Clearly we were not the only ones because… looking around, I saw about 80% of guests (of literally all ages) at the edge of their seats. Definitely a lot of ‘wows’ from the crowd too.
I love the intimate theater, made the whole show more personal. I won’t tell you everything that happens, but it’s pretty amazing!
Whether you come feeling blah, upset, irritated. or happy, you’re going to leave with a smile, because that’s how entertaining is.

I have to say best show I have seen in a long time. Hands down fun. Working at a comic strip for years. Craig is diffinately right up there with the best of them. I was amazed by the talent of each entertainer. Kids had a blast still talking about it today. Talking with some of the other patrons after the show and they agree. Fun for the kids, couples, and even if you choose to go by yourself. Take 2 hours out of your life to experience a great show back at reasonable price. This show was right up there with some of the more expensive ones you can see in Las Vegas.

Absolutely amazing! Had a great time and my mind was blown by the magic and illusions. Belly dancing was awesome as well.

Though it was a small venue with not the best of chairs or acoustics, I was amazed that I did not care about that as soon as the show started. I was engaged from the first moment and like a good movie, disappointed when it had to come to an end.
I never thought anything of this quality ever came to Arizona, but it was definitely better than most of the shows I’ve seen in other bigger venues.
I can’t wait to take my kids to the next show, I know they will love it as much as I did, especially the rings and bird tricks!

Great show very well delivered. If you are a fan of up close magic Craig definitely delivers. His show is firmly rooted in the traditions of magic performing and many of his illusions will be familiar but his execution is so good you’ll definitely be amazed even if you know what is coming.

This is a very small theatre and the quality of the show for such a small venue was amazing. Jeanette’s voice was amazing. The tricks, illusions and laughs provided by Craig was Vegas-​worthy. Card tricks, juggling on a sloping rope or juggling knives on a unicycle… on a platform was a bit scary. The best was an illusion that I first saw performed by David Copperfield years ago. His assistant would be handcuffed and locked in a box. He pulls up a curtain, let’s it drop and he has reversed places with his assistant. We sat in the front row and could not believe it! Then Myryka performed her belly dancing routine that was mesmerizing. I didn’t know that parts of a body could move like that. Craig said she won the 2015 competition and we could see why. Great show and well worth the trip to Scottsdale to see it. It is fun for the whole family, especially when kids are part of the act.

We enjoyed ourselves and were pleasantly surprised with the show. We too thought the vocalist at the beginning didn’t fit well with the rest of the show, but was good in the right venue.
It was a very intimate setting, not a bad seat in the house. I was also picked to go up on stage and help with taping Craig’s eye shut while he proceeded to ride a unicycle and juggle on an elevated platform! The man has incredible balance and core strength. His tricks were pretty amazing, and the delivery and music was great. There were a couple scary parts, so maybe not the best for small kids.
I would almost say the star of the show was Myryka. She was absolutely amazing! This girl can move in ways you can only imagine.
Go check out the show, you won’t be disappointed.

This was a fun evening of entertainment! I could have done without the vocalist at the beginning (I came to see magic!) but the vocalist is the magician’s wife, so … smart man.
I would call Craig a traditional magician/​juggler with an extra helping of cheese and humor. You’ve probably seen most of the tricks before, but he makes them seem new. I just enjoyed the show so much! He asked for volunteers from the audience, and I was one. Even right there on stage, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I shuffled the cards, I threw the whole deck in the air, and he still managed to pull off a really cool trick (no spoilers here!)

Please sit before reading this review. It contains accounts of witchcraft and occult behavior, and I will not be held accountable for any injury obtained while reading this review. Had I not witnessed the Davis Circus of Illusion with my own eyes, I would not be able to tell you about it.
The Davis Circus of Illusion is a group of three people, headed by ‘magician’ Craig Davis. I put ‘magician’ in quotes because of course I am a grown, educated man, and do not believe in magic. I do, of course, believe in witchcraft, which is more how I would describe the events of the evening, as Davis and his associates perform unnatural feats. He is accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Davis, and a bellydancer who goes by the name Myryka.
Davis Circus of Illusion is in a great location — right up in the general Scottsdale vicinity. So go eat dinner someplace close, and then come here. If you are a member of a family, bring your entire family. If you are courting a young lady, you may also bring her here. If you are alone, you will be allowed admittance, but probably looked upon with curiosity. Dress is casual, but classy. Imagine what you should be wearing while witnessing OCCULT BEHAVIOR. The event takes place at a joint called Cattle Track, which has a building that serves as kind of a gallery/​stage. I do not know if there are any cattle there so please stop asking.
Before the show, Davis was talking with some of the early arrivals, his presence tempting them to inquire about the dark arts. I did not listen in on their conversation but I can only imagine he was describing to them the cursed acts he had to commit to obtain his power. As show time drew near, he demonstrated his abilities by reading a man’s mind. Upon seeing this I quickly focused my thoughts, locking away the secrets within my mind that Davis might have otherwise been able to gain access to. I suggest you take this precaution ahead of time.
The show began with Mrs. Davis singing a few songs. She’s got a pretty good set of pipes on her, but I was there for the occult! Davis retook the stage, and almost immediately summoned his bellydancer from some astral plane, and then a bird, which proceeded to stare me down for half the show with his beady black eyes. The obvious conclusion is that the bird was a mind reader as well.
After having summoned his minions, Davis now conjured up dark magics for a freakin’ hour and a half. Breaking things, making them whole again, reading more people’s minds, putting a lady in a box and then trying to crush her with drawers — all kinds of madness.
He had his assistant get in a box, and then he collapsed the box and the woman was STILL ALIVE INSIDE even though there was only room for like, her arms and head. Everything else was just smashed. Then, what does he do? Freakin’ heals her somehow and makes a new body for her and she’s still alive. My wife was all, «It’s just larger than it looks — she probably has extra room in there» but I know what I saw. Hah! «Mirrors.» People always use mirrors to explain witchcraft, when the truth is far more deadly.
Not only is Davis a practitioner of witchcraft, but he also juggles, which I find to be an odd combination. He is apparently one of only a few people in the world who can juggle 7 things at once. Like, actually have all 7 of the things in the air at the same time. I saw him do it, and if you told me that no other human being on earth could juggle 7 things at once, I’d believe you. It was pretty nuts.
Anyway, the show was like, 2 hours, and thank god he didn’t try to use any of his witchcraft on me, and that bird stayed away from me or I would have gone nuts. Should you go see the Davis Circus of Illusion? Only if you are stout of mind and heart, and are not fearful of mind-​bending illusions and inexplicable acts of otherworldly magic. If you’re ok with that, then yeah you should probably go.

This is an awesome show for the whole family. Craig Davis is amazing and he’s funny too. His wife is the «warm up act» and has an incredible voice. They both are very talented. Such a fun night!

Awesome show! Very funny and entertaining! I would definitely go see it again. Fun for family of all ages.

Highly recommended. Incredibly talented magician, that truly leaves you thinking «how did he do that?». Show has a great pace that keeps your interest. Also had some good diversity of entertainment, that makes it unique (dancing, illusion, comedy, singing) Most importantly Craig (and company) is a very likable guy that interacts with the crowd makes people feel comfortable and gets a lot of crowd participation.

Amazing performance! The best place to take a date and get entertained! I had a great time!

Great show! The whole family had a good time. An entertaining magic show with a bit of humor. Very family friendly and a good mix. There’s magic, singing, dancing, & juggling. A couple hours of good family fun!

Amazing performance by Myryka and Craig! Our kids and both of us enjoyed the whole show from start to finish. Family friendly, yet, entertaining for adults! This was such a variety show: the magic portion was amazing and the belly dance segment was to die for!

Amazing show! I would definitely go back again. If you have an opportunity, go see this show, you won’t be disappointed.
