Desert Auto Spa and Car Wash

Horrible place. Ive gotten my car detailed there before and they just did a shotty job. Just went to go through the autowash for a quick wash. I pulled up expecting one of the 10 people there to present themselves and collect payment but no. Had to leave car out in middle of lot, go inside and ask how i do this. They didnt speak english very well and dont communicate at all. It was very frustrating. I got through car wash and then they didnt dry it. Wouldn’t recommend getting my dog washed here.

Disappointing, I work in Scottsdale and searched for the closest car wash so I could get my car cleaned during my lunch break. I tipped the guy and jumped in without looking it over and began noticing all the areas they didn’t clean on my drive back to work. I purchased the $ 16 Works car wash and received a $ 3 wash. I noticed as my car drove through the machine that the rotating brushes weren’t hardly spinning and the brushes didn’t even make contact with the car. The inside was hardly vacuumed out and the Dash and center consul are still littered with dust in various spaces. They didn’t even attempt to vacume the cup holder area which still has trash and dirt inside and the windows are all streaked like they were in a hurry. Zero attention to detail! I wouldn’t recommend this place if they were giving away free car washes.

Decent, middle of the road place. Staff not friendly, but I just want a wash for my car… so I can live with that! Brought my new car they’re working on it now. Recommend…

I just had my car washed at this location and was totally satisfied! They did an amazing job on the interior! My interior is black, and it looked just as clean as the day I drove it off the dealership lot. Would recommend this location to everyone! And no high-​pressure up selling too. I appreciate that!

I came here with my car extremely dirty inside and out. I have black interior and I tend to take my dog everywhere with me and she’s white. So you can imagine what a mess my car looked. I wanted to get a good detail but without paying an outrageous amount. I came here and told exactly what I wanted and how much I’d pay. I got a super interior clean along with an exterior clean and wax said it would take an hour or so. $ 70! They did a phenomenal job, my car had absolutely no trace of dog hair and it looked like I just drove it off a car dealership lot brand new. Very impressed with these guys and they do a great job :)

What happened to this place? They used to do a great job, and had awesome customer service. Now the guy who greeted me was a jerk, the lady checking me out was on her cell phone and didn’t even bother to look at me during the entire transaction, and my car isn’t that clean. I gave 2 stars because my car is cleaner than it was, but I have a feeling this place is going out of business which is unfortunate. I will not be back due to poor service.

I’m not the pickiest customer ever but I was overall very satisfied. They washed my car much better then Dannys car wash which is where i usually go. They did it by hand and they took care of my biggest pet peeve… they made sure my center console was spotless. Wasn’t the most upscale facility but it certainly was a good experience. I shall go back again.

Quick service for a great deal. Purchased the VIP service regularly $ 20, $ 17 with coupon from Unilocal — WOW! Wash, wax, vacuum, tires cleaned… Much better than other places I’ve tried that charged as much for half the services!

Why I had to go back twice to figure out how poorly of a wash they do is my problem. The first time I went back and they redid my car, this time all I wanted was my money back and they wouldn’t even give me my full amount only 50%. I wiped my own seats down at home, dog hair covered the back of my back seat (which I specifically asked twice to make sure it was vacuumed), crumbs in the seats, and the exterior wasn’t clean.

Been coming here for years now. What i like the most about this place is they really spend alot of time on the car and have a great attention to detail. So you don’t get that rushed sub-​par service like Danny’s car wash for instance. It takes time to do a car right, and bottom line is they put the time in and it really shows.
Also, if you go there alot like i do, they will remember what service you normally get, and what air freshener etc, which is a nice personal touch.
Got a full detail for my new black 5.0 this weekend and it came out perfect! Detailer even got out some small scratches on the hood.

I usually come here a few times a month. I have never had any issues. My car always looks nice and clean. I Usually get the VIP wash, and I’m always happy with the job they do. Keep up the good work.

Been coming in here a couple years now. At first I wasn’t impressed but I came back after a while going to other places and I’m happier with their wash here over any other full service places around. Sometimes it’s a little slow but so is every other wash store.
The staff is super friendly and always give good deals when extras are needed (carpet shampoo, hand wax, detail, etc.) Good employees who work hard and care about your car being clean. Of those in the area, I’d recommend this over the others. Buy a 10 — wash pack if you wash frequently, save yourself $ 4/​wash on the basic.

This place is great. Friendly people. Quick. They do an awesome job. Their prices are more than fair. Been coming here for four years and I don’t have one complaint!

But this place still deserved 1 star.
Here’s the 3 reasons…
1. I called and said I wanted a certain part of the car cleaned and they quoted me a price. When I got there, the price was increased by $ 10 and the exact guy I talked to on the phone said he never remembered the phone call from 2 hours before.
2. They said they were going to do a certain type of cleaning. THEY DIDN’T DO IT. I asked them why they didn’t do it and only used water and some spray, and the guy said oh we don’t offer the service you requested.
3. Then everyone started hiding behind their Spanish language and suddenly didn’t speak English and this other employee had to start translating for me. What just happened? I had questions about the situation and suddenly no one knows English.
So basically, they lied the entire time and faked the whole language barrier thing when I called them out on their deception. I should have just called INS instead and had them all deported.
BASICALLY, their excuse was the «car is clean…»
TRANSLATION: «We misquoted you on the price, offered a service that didn’t exist because we don’t have that specific equipment, and lied to you the entire time with a smile. But the car is clean! Just not the way you wanted it cleaned.»
I can relate this to ordering a medium burger and the waitress comes out with a piece of charred burger and says, «hey you got what you ordered… a burger.»
Yeah just stay away from this place. You can’t trust these types of people if you know what I mean.

If you are the kind of person who specifically looks for a handwash then I recommend giving this place a try. I’ve been coming to this place for over a year and I’m somewhat shocked at the mediocre reviews. I am extremely meticulous when it comes to my vehicle and have yet to be let down by this place. I have had both handwash and full detail services and both are great. Give this place a shot and you’ll see for yourself that it’s the best value in the area.

I brought my car in for a quick hand wash before a car show. The gentleman there suggested a deal of a hand wash and wax for a great price which I accepted.
The hand was wash fine, exactly what was expected but the wax left much to be desired. Upon inspection of the job, I needed to point out an entire 1 ft section of the front bumper that they missed as well as a few spots on the fenders. But after that, everything looked alright.
When I returned home after the show that weekend, I noticed a ton of wax left in cracks and between panels. I needed to go over my car fully with my own towels to get the remaining wax off the car. They also got wax on my plastic trim which they tried to cover up with an armor all type spray they had.
If your looking for an ok hand wash, this place is just ok… Don’t get a wax from them. Spend the extra buck and have a higher end location do it.

I took my car here for a complete detail before I sold it. The did a very thorough job, excellent service. The next day I noticed that the roof rack on my car had accumulated a bunch or dirt and other stuff. I removed the roof rack and took the car back the next day and they spent another 45 minutes recleaning everything. No questions asked!
Very impressed!

At the end of the day this place does a decent enough job of washing your car, but man are they pushy!
I mean, I get that in AZ where people have to wash there cars religiously that people who work at car washes are essentially salesmen/​women, but after declining any sort of upgrade a couple times be done with trying to up-​sale me and just let me get my basic wash!
The waiting area here is spacious, clean, & you can even get a 5 min chair massage for a buck, but at the end of the day the car wash is all that matters, and like I said they do a decent enough job. I wish I would have realized BEFORE I had paid though that if you check in on Unilocal you can save three bucks (there’s other Unilocal discounts as well), but oh well.
I just recently moved back to AZ from the Bay Area where «these» kind of car washes are generally $ 15 – 20, so $ 11.99 didn’t sound all that bad, but then again, I just came here with my mom who always uses this place, so I’m sure I could have found something else relatively close by for the just as cheap.
Truth be told, I just think car washes like this are a ripoff in general, and I prefer going to the do-​it-​yourself places with the different wash setting hoses & vacuums, so this 3-​star review for a car wash with (very) push salesmen is probably generous. Like I said, you can get a decent enough wash, though…
