Diamondback Pool Service and Repair is the premier residential and commercial pool cleaning, pool service and pool repair company serving the Scottsdale and greater Phoenix, Arizona areas. DiamondBack Pool Service and Repair was founded in 2006 by owner Ryan West after returning from a seven year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. Ryan’s work as a Jet engine mechanic and FAA certified commercial aircraft mechanic inspired him to bring a high-​tech and highly process-​driven approach to pool service, maintenance and repair.

I have tried to get these guys to call me back to schedule service on my spa. Not one returned call after 5 messages. Not sure why I kept trying, I suppose I was shocked that any company could be that horrible to a potential new customer! Don’t waste your time, look elsewhere!

I’m absolutely baffled by the 1-​star reviews here. I used them for weekly pool service for about a year and they were great. While I started doing my pool myself to save a little money I still use them for any repairs I need done. This company has been awesome each and every time I’ve used them. Ryan, the owner, has personally come out to my house several times to check on work done by his company. The lady he has answering phones is as nice as can be, always calls back, and is herself informative and helpful. They’re always on time. I mean they are just great, the customer service, at least in my experience, is greater than outstanding. Again I’m really surprised anyone’s had a 1-​star experience with this company, that hasn’t been my experience at all. I HIGHLY recommend.

Terrible company — had an appointment 8 – 10 am on a previous day, my dad waited at home in the morning, no one showed. They rescheduled to this morning. My husband and I waited at my parents’ house this time, since we have holiday leave. It’s 6 pm… the pool pump is still nonfunctional. Not even a phone call to let us know why they couldn’t make it.

I would not recommend this company! They were the pool equipment repair company contacted by my home warranty provider to repair a pump issue. Other than having to call them out of the gate when they were supposed to call me to set up an appointment after my warranty company contacted them, my first interactions with the woman who set up the appointment were both pleasant and professional. She asked if I could handle a Saturday morning appointment to which I agreed. It was firmly set for 8 – 10 AM two days hence, on Saturday morning. Since I work very hard during the week, I sleep in on Saturdays in order to catch up. That Saturday I set my alarm for 7:30 to be ready for the repair person. To make a long story short, he never showed up, never called, and my repeated calls to them on Saturday were ignored. I never, ever heard from them again. They totally flaked out on me without as much as a hint of an apology.

THE WORST Pool Company in the area. They are unprofessional — rarely show up when they say they will and will have some excuse about why, and could care less about what you have to say about it. The guys that do the pool cleaning complain about how badly they are treated by the owner, which is entirely believable because he has been very rude when I have spoken to him. But the biggest problem is they are simply undependable and don’t care. They don’t do a good job on the pool because they are in a rush to get to their next (late) appointment. Save yourself the aggravation and use a good pool service — NOT Diamondback.

Overall it was a very good experience. From the time they called me to set up my appointment, to the time Chuck came and made the repairs, everything went well. I had 4 things on my list of repairs, motor, filter gauge, automatic filler, and a plumping leak. Chuck was able to take care of 3 out of 4. Old Republic Home Warranty covered 2 of them. Chuck thought they might not cover the gauge, but offered to call and double check, I’m glad I asked him to try. Diamondback Pools could have made it 5 Stars by… testing my water, asking who if anyone takes care of my pool, left a business card or sticker, and tried to earn my future business. The reason I went with them is due to Aspen K. on Unilocal.Her review is hidden, but addresses all the negative reviews on Unilocal.I will request Diamondback Pools the next time I need a service call.

Ryan has been taking care of our weekly service for a couple years now. He has always done a great job meeting our expectations which lead to some referrals to our friends in Scottsdale and cave creek. The best thing about this company is they always complete the repairs in-​house which gives great peace of mind not having unknown people coming onto our property. Definitely recommend!

I would give no stars if possible. If your home warranty company sends this contractor for your repair, absolutely refuse and ask for another contractor. They gave the warranty company inaccurate information and when I called to get an explanation, all I got was the run around. Calls were not returned to me or the warranty company as well. Which is kind of funny considering had they acknowledged the problem appropriately, they would have had a sizable job to do. I guess they make enough money from those service call fees to not have to worry about doing actual work and fixing problems.

We have been trying to work with this company for many months now. The workers are unprofessional and cannot keep to a schedule. There have been multiple times we have had to call them back because there is debris in the pool right after service. The workers also came to clean the pool tile, wiped their feet on our pool towels outside, and then left it wadded up on the ground. We have tried to work with the owner Ryan; however, this last incident was unprofessional. His worker came to service the filters and backwash, and left a mess behind. When contacting the owner, he told me «It looks like time for us to part ways. Good luck to you this summer.» They didn’t even offer to come clean up the mess they made. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this level of service.
