I went to Dr. O’daniel on a Sunday after arriving in Scottsdale with a very irritated eye. He immediately identified the problem as a small piece of metal stuck in my eye. He confidently removed the metal. My eye is feeling much better. He is friendly and confidence inspiring. I highly recommend him.

I was originally very excited about finding Dr. O’Daniel’s office. It seemed like a great location and place. The woman in charge of insurance questions was extremely helpful. This is where my great experience ended. I found Dr. O’Daniel to be very rude and smug. He was giving me a diagnosis about my eyes that wasn’t what I expected, but did not care at all how I felt about it. He basically said «Oh well, deal with it.» After I left, I received a bill in the mail that was not at all what it should have been. I called my insurance to ask about it and found out they billed my insurance double what I was supposed to pay. They charged me for contacts I never ordered and other fees that weren’t on the receipts I took home with me. When I called to ask about it, she told me they realized their mistake and that they’d call me tomorrow with a new amount. I never heard from them again until I got a letter in the mail with the same amount due. I called AGAIN and they told me that this is the correct amount and I have to pay it even though I knew it was wrong and they had even told me it was wrong on our last conversation. I told them I wasn’t going to pay until I had it cleared with my insurance that this was correct. They got very mad at me on the phone and told me that «their billing was correct — even though they said it was their mistake previously.»
I feel as though this company cares about getting patients, but does not care about treating them with respect. They will be very polite to you until you actually come in and then they want you in and out and to pay whatever amount they tell you — even if it’s wrong. I think there are many other eye doctors out there that continue great customer service through your entire experience. My advice would be to find one of them because you won’t find it at Dr. O’Daniel’s office.

I’ve been going to Dr O’Daniel for around 10 years. He is excellent. Super thorough.
Takes his time and visits and discusses your vision and really listens. Doesn’t push unnecessary goods and services… just gets the job done. The Scottsdale Fashion Square location is super convenient… and his staff is always top notch.

Dr. O’Daniel is wonderful! After visiting 2 other doctors regarding problems with my eyes, I decided to visit Dr. O’Daniel who has finally given me a plan to make my eyes feel better and after months of pouring money down the drain and agony, they do! He really took the time to sit with me during my appointment and helped me to understand what was going on with my eyes. He knows his stuff and he is now my official eye doctor!
