Let me first say that after 10 years as a customer I will never shop at another GNC again! Why? Because of their POORCUSTOMERSERVICE! I have been shopping this store and have several issues over the years but nothing to anger me as the incident that took place this last Friday. I have put up with the product outages, continual employee turnover and improperly posted hours on the website but enough is enough! When a company is to busy to take care of the customer is time to move on! I will be doing all my nutritional shopping at the local ONESTOPNUTRITIONCENTERS here in Arizona. I went to this location to purchase my 12 Quest Bars as usual. Why? Because the store is literally a half mile from my house. The young lady at the store is always having issues with product knowledge and the cash register. But after numerous tries and about 10 minutes she was able to finally enter my GNC coupon and give me my discount for the 12 bars. Unfortunately, because of the usual disarray of the section where the bars and their different flavor are located I inadvertently picked up 2 bars of the wrong flavor. No big problem right? I’ll just go in the morning and exchange them which I did. As usual the door was locked with a hand written note saying«will be back momentarily». Ok I can understand this somewhat its early on a Friday(10:30AM). I waited thinking momentarily means a few minutes. After about 10 minutes I started to leave and saw the supposed store manager coming across the parking lot from the Circle K. Ok no big issue! A guy needs a coke he needs a coke. So I explain to him I need to exchange the 2 bars and hand him the receipt and the 2 bars I want to exchange. He asks me for my Gold Club Number(HA!). Then proceeds to tell me that I owe him $ 3.69 for the new bars after taking my other 2 bars. I asked why I’m exchanging bar for bar. He said it was because I had a coupon so I owed him $ 3.69. I said that makes no sense. Then he proceeded to tell me how the cash register is old fashioned and won’t let him make the exchange. After a few minutes of this ridiculous banter I said give me my original bars and the receipt and left. I called the HO in PA and as usual had to press 1 for this and 2 for that as well as listen to all their commercials. Finally, a receptionist she transfers me to customer service of course they have no way of helping nor can they give me the district or regional managers name. I call back 8 more times before somebody tells me to call a 714 area code number. Yes, now I’m furious. Guess what I call and I get more voice mail. Now I leave a scathing voice mail and call PA again. Promising them that if someone doesn’t call bs k I’m going to Unilocal and all other social media t let people know the problems with GNC. Well guess what? I get a call to. Kevin Peterson Regional man. He apologizes and tells he will handle it all to my satisfaction. All I’ve asked for is to exchange my 2 stupid quest bars. He says oh yes he called Carlos the store manger and explained that he was wrong. He also said go change your bars and for all your trouble he would give me 6 bars. I said thank you and went to the store the very next morning. Well their was Carlos making excuses which at this point I don’t want to hear. I out my 2 exchange bars on the counter and the 6 free bars. Guess what Carlos is going to charge me for the 6 bars I said no Kevin said they were free. He says no and calls Kevin who informs me that offer is only if I buy 12. I said that’s not what you said he said I misunderstood. So with that I said I will take my 2 bars you can keep your 6 bars and that I would post this whole episode on the different social media outlets. So as I said I misunderstood their lack of customer service at the store, corporate and management levels. But what they misunderstand is that I will never spend a nickel in their stores again and will let everybody I come in contact with as well as the social media outlets know of the continuing poor service at these stores. I do recommend ONESTOPNUTRITIONCENTERS they are friendly, reasonably priced and their staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. Ernie Bianchi

It’s great to have a GNC close to home without having to go to a mall but this one isn’t stocked nearly as well as the others which defeats the purpose. Stopped in to grab some Myoplex Bars only to find out that they threw all theirs out because they had«expired». Yikes, guess sales aren’t too good here?!
