Lori’s Grooming

I didn’t think it was possible for my new puppy to look more adorable, but after coming here I was very much proven wrong. The cut they gave her was absolutely perfect. She left here smelling fresh, looking slick, and happy as could be. I look forward to many years of grooming here at Lori’s!

Our sweet dog is so nervous whenever she is put in a cage. May be part of the trauma she had early in her life before she came to us. So, going to the groomers before we found Lori was upsetting. Lori and her staff take such sweet care of our girl and they do a great job of grooming! We have found the right place.

I will not take my dog Max anywhere else for a grooming. Lori and Greg and their staff are the best. With other groomers Max sometimes had to be muzzled or they just could not get the job done because he was not cooperating. With Lori, first time, no problem at all. Max looks quite dirty when he arrives but he is so clean and perfectly groomed when I pick him up. I have not needed to leave my dogs overnight but I would not hesitate to do so. Definitely the best grooming/​boarding in town!

No matter how much you discuss what you want for your dog or how many pictures you bring so that they know how you expect your dog to look… it falls on deaf ears and lack of sight!
The dog, our Schnoodle, was a mess! The haircut wasn’t done correctly! When you cut a Schnauzer the beard is left full and the eyebrows are cut from shorter in front to longer on the side of each eye! Not at this place! The last thing they pulled was to ask for an additional
amount of money because he took longer! Unheard of and they lied and said the original price
was only an estimate! Mind you this little dog only weighs 26 lbs.
Stay away unless you like aggravation! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

They always do a great job except for this time. The reason for the low review is because they shaved my son too close and cut him in sensitive area. His mustache was still a bit dirty, the tear stains weren’t removed and the cut was a bit uneven.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for them yet! I take my dog, Oliver, here for daycare and love them!
For a while I brought him here daily for daycare but now I only bring him in 1 – 2 times a week. I work from home but will intentionally go into the office just so he can get worn out and have fun. We believe my little 11 lb white scruffy old man is part Jack Russell Terrier, so he is a little ball of energy and I love that as soon as we get into the car after daycare he immediately goes into his little basket/​car seat thing and doesn’t move for the 30 minute or so drive home. He NEVER sits or lays still for that long unless he is curled up with me at home. Otherwise, he is literally a jumping, running, smashing into things little rebellious dog who thinks he is a puppy.
I did have Oliver groomed here once on his first day and they did a great job. Very clean and even looking with no burns or issues that I’ve heard of happening at some places. I need to get him groomed again soon and of course will have them do it. Extra bonus that if I get him groomed, a full day of daycare is only $ 10.
I have no clue what happens between dropping him off and picking him up but I have been told he is always well behaved and he is always happy to be there so that makes me happy.
Btw, each and every employee is super nice and knows Oliver by name.

Absolutely the best. We bring our dog from Seattle and Lori’s is better and faster than anyone else.

This place is amazing… the owners took the time to discuss all my options regarding my matted Eskimo, even suggesting not to shave her, unlike petsmart where they wouldn’t groom her without shaving! In the end we chose the full shave on the groom and it looks amazing! Full say cage free fun and only 55 bucks… will never go to petsmart again!

I moved to Scottsdale with my husband and Maltipoo, Stella, at the beginning of February and before we even left Oregon, I found Lori’s and scheduled Stella’s next spa day thanks to my fellow Unilocalers!!!

Why will Stella go back AND attend a future Doggy Day Care day?
As soon as we walked in, Greg (Lori’s husband) greeted Stella and while I completed her new client form, she got to know both Lori and Greg and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my furbaby in their hands!
When I picked Stella up later, they showed me a video of her playing with a fellow spa patron and again it was obvious how much they loved every single dog in their care!
The price for a full groom for my toy poodle/​maltese hybrid was competitive at $ 45 and it was worth every penny… they even send you home with a little doggy bag of treats and goodies for your pup!!!
Thank you for making me feel comfortable right away making sure Stella’s poodle is under control!

Lori, Greg and team are great. I have been trusting them with my pup for over two years for both grooming and doggie daycare. It’s the best feeling picking up an exhausted freshly groomed pup :)

Lori’s Grooming is the best! After calling around to 3 different groomers to bathe and groom our 150 lb malamute, Lori was the only one who would take him in. They do a wonderful job every time and make sure he’s happy the whole time he is there. Their service is great and you and your pet are always greeted with a warm welcome.

I am disappointed to have to write a bad review about this place as the first couple times I took my dogs here they were pretty good and I liked the fact that it was a local business. Unfortunately the more I brought them there the worse they got.
One instance was I came to pick them up and they gave me the dogs and one of them was all wet on her paws and butt. She had sat in either her own or another dogs pee as they keep them all loose together. Another time they called to say they were done and when I got there they were still cutting the hair and did not do the nalis yet. Time after time I would bring them in and ask them NOT to scoop out the eye area and not to leave a «visor» look above her eyes. Yet every time they did. Then the last two times in they shaved her butt and under arms so close she was RED FOR A WEEK AND WOULD NOT STOP LICKING THE AREA! I then had to pay for a visit to the vet and for medication to put on it. And this was after I asked to just clean her up and not cut any length off. My kids were even asking me to stop going here because the grooming always looked so bad. Maybe they just got to busy to take their time and care about the dog they were working on. Will not be back and will not recommend.

I absolutely love taking my fur babies to Lori’s for their grooming! They always come back looking amazing, smelling fantastic, and smiling large. I think the smiles are because they are a cage free grooming facility, so after my kids are all styled up, they get to hang out with all the other gorgeous pooches waiting for their fur parents.
Definitely a great place to take your dogs for all their grooming needs! Two enthusiastic paws up! :)

Lori’s Grooming contacted me regarding my review and offered a complimentary grooming for my dog. I really appreciate that they took the time to reach out to me. I did take my dog in for another grooming and it had been awhile since they had reached out to me since their offer, so I didn’t mind paying for my dog’s haircut (which I was much happier with this time) But they insisted on not charging me. I am grateful for their commitment to excellent customer service and I will continue to take my dog here because of it! Thank you Lori and Greg!

This is my second visit with Lori’s Dog grooming and was very happy with my first experience, but not so much this time. My dog had back surgery in April so his hair was uneven due to having to shave down his hair to create a surgical site. When i brought my dog in For grooming his hair had grown back long enough to be trimmed but his rectangular looking surgical site was still evident so obviously I wanted that trimmed. I had mentioned to young gal at the reception desk that my dog had surgery.
When I picked up my dog I was unhappy with a few things: 1) the hair around my dogs face hardly looked groomed and was unevenly groomed (I ended up cutting it myself when I got home) 2) his tail was not even touched to be trimmed 3) you could still see the outline of where my dog had surgery– that area had not been groomed, instead the hair around it had been trimmed but his hair is still an uneven length. It’s been a month since he’s been groomed and now the hair where he had surgery is much more tan than the rest of his hair that had been trimmed making it more obvious that he had back surgery.
I’m super disappointed bc I loved my dogs first visit and experience but this time I am left unsure if I would want to return.

If you like dogs, stepping into Lori’s Grooming is like stepping into heaven.
They’re a cage-​free grooming environment, so they allow friendly dogs to roam free throughout their office before and after their appointment. Upon walking through the doors you hear music and see puppies everywhere. They all look happy and the employees are already asking how you’re doing and what you’re there for. But mostly: puppies everywhere. So cute.
I actually have two cats, and I wanted them groomed professionally, solely to get rid of some weird flea/​tick/​lice problem they had before I moved into a brand new apartment. I expressed to one of the employees that I didn’t want a full grooming treatment for my cats, just a flea bath. An a la carte flea bath isn’t on their «menu,» but the girl I spoke with was extremely accommodating. Bathing two cats rang up a total of $ 60 (plus tip, of course). And I haven’t seen a single bug on my kitties since.
The place is a little far away from where I live, but it’s totally worth the drive. I felt 100% comfortable leaving my babies there for a couple hours, and they were squeaky clean when I picked them up. The owner, Lori, even helped me carry my kitties back out to my car when they were done.

I have to tell you I LOVE the staff at Lori’s grooming! Everyone is fantastic! They are so friendly and you can tell they JUST LOVE DOGS! I left my dogs all day today for the 1^st time. Grooming and hanging out while I was at work, I was so happy to hear that my dogs had a great day and I could tell that they were making people smile.

My Yorkie, Maui, visits Lori’s Grooming at least once a month and we both leave very happy after every visit. They do a fabulous job at maintaining my sweet girl’s «Teddy Bear» haircut and her nails are always cut perfectly.
Oh and every time I call to make an appointment, they make every effort to accommodate my time request.
I highly recommend Lori’s Grooming to all my friends who are looking for the best pet salon in the Valley of the Sun.

Clean and in a good central part of town.
We had our cat shaved here — we’ve not ever been able to even clip her nails and they were able to do the nails, give her a bath and shave her. Impressed us and very reasonably priced! Will be returning for her next clean up.
