I Picked Shayne because she had so many great reviews. Have no question, she is a busy lady! Even though she has a big staff who handles alot of correspondence, she is very much directly involved personally when it comes time to deliver.
Shayne went above and beyond during crunch time and exceeded my expectations and I will continue to use her for years to come. Shes awesomely good and great at what she does and also very proactive and professional.

Just moved here from Washington state. Usually do my own taxes but had a very unusual (for us) year with sale of a home, transfer of rental property, charitable donation of real property, change in income due to retirement and a bunch of other stuff. Wanted to do some strategic planning before tax year ended.
Found Shayne here on Unilocal,never having been a client before. Very efficient appointment scheduling. We spent an extremely productive hour looking at different scenarios and «what if’ing» ideas. Shayne did an excellent job evaluating my situation and responding to my inquiries. She has a knack for explaining when appropriate, but not when unnecessary so as to make our time more productive. She made excellent suggestions, and I left feeling I had gotten far more than my money’s worth from our time. I couldn’t have had a better experience and would highly recommend her.

Shayne said she would send price tab by e-​mail within few minutes. She never sent and never called back. Too inconsistent to do business with. Is this how companies act when they take the Unilocal ratings for granted?

I found Shayne on Unilocal.She was friendly, knowledgeable and affordable. My taxes are more than the standard 1040 and everything went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend her.

I have used Shayne for two years in a row for my tax return. I found her on Unilocal last year, when I had a relatively complicated return. 3 W2’s, 2 state returns, ISO sales, purchased a house and got married. Shayne did it all with ease, for an incredibly reasonable rate. I used her again this year with the same ease and again for a great rate.

Coming from Atlanta, I had been paying over a grand a year [in addition to bookkeeping service fees] for my partnership LLC and married jointly 1040. After losing my job and finding myself out a monthly cash flow equal to my previous accountant’s fee, there was no way I could afford to keep them. So I found Shayne, and I am thrilled to be working with her.
Besides working with my budget [including the timing I outlined in which I can pay], she also was very informative about my actual return. Her assistant set up an appointment and I got to meet her face to face [something I never was able to do with my previous accountant] and she went over our whole thing right then and there. So we had a ball park figure when we left her office, which really took a weight off my shoulders. I had been stressed about my return for months, but in a matter of minutes Shayne figured it out.
She also informed me on how to pay [I never had owed before], where to send and everything. She sent in my paper work for me, including the one that had to be sent on paper in the mail.
Her fee was a third of what I was used to paying, so I am stoked to have some financial security again. I will be working with her from now on! I highly recommend her, especially to small time business owners or partnerships. She is one of the few CPA’s that will acknowledge that it doesn’t make sense to charge a company with a net profit of less than $ 5K the same amount as a business $ 500K just because they are the same classification of business type.

For the 3^rd Straight year, Shayne has once again helped me tremendously with not only getting the most out of my return, but also helping me plan for the the next year with Taxes, deductions, and what to look out for.
She’s always been nice, and extremely knowledgeable, but she’s very personable and never has been unable to help me out. I would refer anyone to her, and have spoken with many of my friends about retaining her services. The amount you pay for with someone/​something like H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt does not equate to the value you get with someone like Shayne when it comes to Tax preparation, and Accounting Services.
She’s reinvested back into her business, and now has a staff that helps her out with scheduling and returning calls, as I’ve never had any issues with getting in to see her. To have her prepare my taxes it is more than what I normally pay, but for the value that I’m saving in deductions, it’s worth every cent. Great staff, great location, and great value. As always.

I have not used her services yet but I plan on it. She has answered many questions about my particular business situation that shows she is quite knowledgable.
FYI, I did have a hard time getting a hold of her via phone at first. She responds to email by the end of the day and I setup phone appointment with her easily.

I’m not going to give them 1 star, but that’s because I didn’t actually do business with them. I called a few times, no answer. Finally decided to leave a voicemail, asking someone get back to me regarding their services, and I never got a call back. Apparently they don’t need new business? I think that even if you don’t do business with someone, it’s still good etiquette to return multiple missed calls and a voicemail.
UPDATE: I did receive an email… After writing the Unilocal review. But by then we had already gone with someone else. Glad she did reach out though. I felt that was courteous and professional.
