Sierra Window Tint

Ray came out to fix my passenger window tint that had gotten ruined over the weekend. Ray was actually early for our appointment and was able to match up the tint and have it removed and replaced within a half hour. The tint looks great and the price agreed over the phone was the price I paid. Would highly recommend Ray for any one of my or my families tinting needs.

My boyfriend called the shop after seeing a Groupon from this company to get a quote. They quoted him $ 125 plus tax for his car which was a Toyota MR2 convertible. It sounded like a good deal so we decided to buy the Groupon. Then my boyfriend called again to schedule an appointment to get the tint done and they were trying to charge him $ 150 plus tax this time. They said it would be the same price as a truck!!! Whattt?! These are tiny windows compared to a truck!!!
Very dishonest customer service so we just canceled the Groupon. We will go somewhere else.

Ray just finished doing the windows on our van, which is the 8^th vehicle he has done for us over the last several years. He does a FANTASTIC job, is punctual and dependable, and a super nice guy. We have never had a problem with any of the work he has done — he is great at this. His prices are great and I feel you get an excellent value for the money. You will not be disappointed — very good workmanship and service!

Ray is an awesome straight shooter. He’s been tinting my cars for about 3 years now. We like to switch it up kinda often so he’s done at least 4 vehicles of mine. He does a great job and stands behind his work and product. He’s been tinting windows for years and it shows. Watch him for a few minutes, you’ll see this dude is a master of his trade.

Horrible customer service! Should’ve known better than to use a company that was on living social. They no call no showed my first appointment with them, after two days of calling, I finally spoke to the owner, Ray who gave no priority in rescheduling even though it was their fault they missed the appointment. Their technician finally made the second appointment, did the job, and collected their payment and the voucher as I upgraded to the better tint. The tech gave me instructions to not roll down the windows, wash them, ect. Over a week went by and the back window of my SUV has bubbles everywhere, and looks horrible. I left message after message with Ray, and finally got a hold of him a few days later. They made an appointment to come and «look at the problem». Then 2 hours before they were scheduled to come out I was told they had to cancel. I have been trying to get a hold of them since, and get no return phone calls. The thing about the owner Ray, is he will feed you lines and make excuses, and he even tried to blame my vehicle for the horrible tint job. Whenever I would prove his excuses incorrect, he immediately had another excuse to dish out. To be more specific he said it was the model of vehicle that I drove is why the tint looks so horrible. I have a 2006 Ford Escape, which he was aware of before even doing the job, when I asked him why my family member, who has a year older very same model vehicle, had a tint job done by a competitor that looks very professional, he tried to state it was because of my vehicle’s specific year. Bottom line is they rush their jobs, don’t know how to install tint correctly (as this has been confirmed by his competitor’s who have had to call to get quotes to fix the crap job that this company, and did see the shotty work), they have horrible customer service, and do not honor their warranties at all!!! Do not use this company, and pay more to hire a quality company that will do the job right the first time and stand behind it!!!

Not the way to run a business at all. First call returned after two days. Car was going to be done at my place of business which Was going to take 2 weeks so I agreed to the appt in my home. I took off work to make that happen, I have a garage, they told me 30 minutes prior to appointments it was too windy and they would call to reschedule within the hour because they didn’t have their calendar. Two days went by and nothing. I called again and left a message and a couple days later was told they had to go out of town and would try to schedule as soon as they could. I again made the appointment for my home. Took off work to make this happen… They called at 1158 and said no one was there and he had appointments he had to go to and was going to have to leave for our 12 appt. never mind the fact we were driving towards the house. What an asshole seriously we wait three weeks for this and you can’t even wait two minutes for us. Where is Aladdin tint? I’ll call them

When it comes to my car I normally put people on the chopping block when things go wrong. I bought a LivingSocial deal. Did all my due diligence and even called to see if my car was difficult. We set a time. Ray actually picked the time (more like squeezed me in). This was the 1^st indication I should of known better than to use the LivingSocial right away.
2^nd — you just cannot control all the variables when doing things in a mobile environment.
I am pretty sure Ray rushed my tint job. All my windows have tiny bubbles. My «extra» piece I had done has scratches from him trying to get all the bubbles out. that drive me crazy. And it was near impossible to get a hold of him to have him come back out.
I am pretty sure the influx of cars from the LivingSocial deal made him rush, made him hard to have come back out, and take a look.
Here is the take away… If you REALLY care about your car, mobile tint is not the right method.
2^nd beware when buying services from small vendors that are not able to handle the extra work.
3^rd — follow up. Stay on the vendor till its done right. I ended up listening to him and waited 6 weeks for the bubbles to cure and ended up getting a rock in my windshield and need it redone now.
So I will just have the whole car redone.

I’d like to add now, that the tinting on my windows has not bubbled or peeled and is just as great as the day it was done. No problems at all!

Fantastic job done by Ray! He was very responsive and we scheduled a time for him to come by the office and tint my car while I was at work. Did the whole thing including windshield in under 2 hours! Best prices in town and quality tint. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Ray came out to my house and he was extremely punctual, professional, friendly and skilled. He did an amazing job on my car in about an hour and a half and he took the time to explain the process to me and the difference in the various tint types on the market. I have an autoimmune disease that requires heavy sun protection (from the UV rays) and Ray took that into consideration and advised me on the level of tint to use on my car and how the different levels of tint darkness would affect my night driving views and my view out the back window.
I have no friggen clue how or why some people have reviewed him so badly and those reviews make me throw a bit of a skeptical side-​eye at the reviewer. My experience was nothing but wonderful and the price for my Volvo wagon was absolutely affordable and reasonable. (My window tint came with a nationwide warranty too.)
I would not hesitate to have him do my next car and my husband’s car. Hell, I’d send my own mother over to him if she needed window tinting done!
PS: Have I mentioned how amazing my car looks yet? I did? Oh good, just checking…

They are never open! Purchased a groupon for a mobile automotive tint and every time we call they’re closed. The answering machine first said they’d be closed till the 1^st of February and now it says the 20^th. Who knows how long it will be before they’re open.

I like to send a nice shout out to Ray, the owner of Sierra Window Tint. My wife and I bought two auto window tint Groupons, and Ray did a phenomonal job on both our cars! We did, however, end up upgrading the film quality, but it was worth it and our cars look great! I would recommend Sierra Window Tint highly!

New car and needed tint. Looked for a deal and went with a Groupon for Sierra. Glad I did.
Rick was very helpful and was able to make an appointment that was convenient. As he comes to you, that adds to convenience. Within a short space of time, all windows were done. Instructions were left and followed. I see no problems and it’s about a week since installation. Recommended him to my brother who will be using him as well. Found Rick personable and helpful and the product seems excellent.

Sierra Window Tint did a great job. I had the tinting done about 8 months ago and I waited to write a review until after the summer season to see how things held up. Well I am happy to say things are great! The tint had a few minor bubbles for about a month, but they all disappeared. The quality of the film is amazing and the fact that the company came to my apartment to do the job was awesome. I recommend everyone looking for window tinting to this company. Thanks again Sierra Window Tint for a great tint job!

Worst tint ever,
Met the owner Ray, He seemed like a nice guy boy was I wrong, in a nutshell the tint was much darker then we asked for and there were two large air bubbles .My bad we left for vacation an hour after he did the job so we didn’t check it for three days (just trusted him) when I Called him he said I was wrong and it was the correct shade (we asked him to match our other car’s tint same model) it was very easy to see it didn’t match. four times I called and he never came to even check his work his customer service sucked.
We had a professional tint service out that verified the tint wasn’t even close and the bubbles should have been fixed right away.
What makes me believe them is they didn’t charge me a dime to completely redo the bad job Sierra did the manufacturer of the product footed the bill.

Use a more reliable company. Ray is not good at keeping appointments. He no-​showed for the first appointment we had and never called. When I set up the next one, he was late. I used a groupon for his service and he charged me extra to get the tint that he recommended. It is an old scam where business lure you in and then upsell you. Oh well. He also did not do the job I asked him to do. I asked him for front windshield tint and he put in limo tint so I could hardly see out of the front of my car. I paid him to redo it and he still put on the wrong shade after I specifically told him what to do. His excuse was that he knew best and I wouldn’t like it. He argued with me and then never showed up to fix his sloppy job. Use Danny’s Car Wash… they will do it the right way and do it while you wait.

Excellent job done quickly and professionally. I got a great deal through LivingSocial, and will be having my homes wimndows done too. No streaks/​bubbles/​specks or anything other than perfection on our two vehicles, I recommend him.

Ray showed up right on time, was polite and professional. The job was completed on site in about an hour. He was quick to redo my driver window when he realized the film had a defect as it was the first piece off a new roll of product. After completing the job, he provided written information about the product care and warranty. The price was the same as agreed upon over the phone prior to service.
The reason I can only give him two stars is because of what happened a week later. I followed the instructions he provided to me at the time of service. I did not roll down the windows or wash the car for a week, which was longer than he said I should wait, just to be safe. The windows still had what appeared to be water bubbles, which was expected because he had informed me of this, however, they were supposed to be dry and gone after about three days. I called Ray and asked him about the bubbles and he said that they should be gone and he would come by to check it out that Friday. I called him on Friday afternoon as requested to remind him and was forced to leave a voice mail. The following week I had not heard from Ray so I called him again at which time he advised me that he would come by on Saturday afternoon to check out the bubbles and replace the tint if needed. I did not hear from on Saturday as planned. It has now been almost six weeks since the tint was installed.
I understand that no tint job can be perfect and there will sometimes be spots or specks in the film, however, this is not the case. These are bubbles from either air or trapped water and there are a lot of them. There is also a spot that looks to be rolled up glue from the previous film he removed stuck under the tint about the size of a small finger nail.
I keep looking at other cars with tint and do not see anything like this and I do not like the way it looks. I would really like this matter resolved but what can I do?
Ray, if you read this, I’m not mad, I would just like to get this taken care of as soon as possible please. I will update this if possible when the matter has been resolved.
