I attended a half day seminar with Steven Cates in San Jose and I found his strategies for increasing my listings and sales in my real estate business innovative, enlightening and effective. So much so that I registered in his Coaching program.
In just a few coaching sessions I have learned how to differentiate myself from other agents in my market. Steven helped me totally rewrite my listing presentation and marketing pieces so that I am so much more effective in getting listings. It’s already having a powerful impact and I know that I will have my best year ever this year! I now have right mindset and systems to take my business to the next level and beyond thanks to Steven.

I think Steven Cates is one of the great coaches in self development, I have known him and his company since 1990’s and I really think he is one of the best, I highly recommend him.

Please don’t sign up for this man seminars!!! He is a crook and a big scammer, I went to one of his seminars and was not impressed, I couldn’t believe how everyone in the room was scammed into believing he could do something or educate anyone. This man couldn’t have conversation with a ant!!! Please everyone save your money and your time and don’t get tricked by this LOOSER!!! I’m actually looking into starting a law suite against him because he don’t want to give me my money back and I heard he’s not refunding the other 5 people that got tricked. Stay as far away from him…

Saw him speak last month in San Jose. My friend was a sponsor so I wanted to be supportive. This was a HUGE waste of time! He was disorganized, poorly prepared, and did not connect with the audience at all. Plus, he had absolutely nothing of value to say. My sponsor friend was very unhappy at the way he was treated, too. You’ll certainly want to keep your distance from this guy.

I’m not sure I’d call Steven Cates a fraud, but I sure do feel conned out of $ 900!
Steven Cates hit up our small business to be a sponsor for one of his talks in California. After we sent out invites and promoted the event to our network… he changed the date… not once, but at least 4 times! After the second time we were so embarrassed we requested a refund and didn’t want to be associated with him at all. He said he’s give a partial refund… so we reluctantly agreed to continue forward.
The day of the event there were fewer than 10 people present. What a total waste of money. He has not sent any refund and is not answering our correspondence.
What little of his presentation that I did observe was not meaningful and felt rather sly and sneaky. I could only take the talk for an hour or so, but I don’t think others in the audience were resonating with him either.
I feel like he just took our money and ran… and I really wish I had read the other Unilocal reviews before taking his bait and falling into his trap.
If you have a chance — avoid this guy at all costs. And if he offers you an «elite sponsorship opportunity,» turn tail and run the other way!
