I have been going to this location on and off for a little over 6 years. I can always trust that they do a good job & take care of my car. I could have probably gotten a better price on a handful of services I got there, but I am comfortable going here. I never get that typical“slimeball” feeling I usually get w mechanics. Even though the garages are always packed with cars, they are very timely, even when I forget to make an appointment. There are a handful of times that I was skeptical with their recommendation for serving (i.e. Spark plugs when I felt unnecessary), but they are never too pushy. I would have given them 4.5÷5 if I could have

I think this is the most and the closest I’ll get to actually liking my frenemy — Sun Devil’s…just a little puppy love. ;)
I’m always hesitant to bring my car in to get it serviced. You just never know if you’re going to come back home with lemonade or just the same rotten lemon you started with and a couple of game tokens left in your pocket.
Luckily, my car made it safe from freeway to shaded parking to this auto shop. Thank you God! These guys found an initial problem with my radiator. I did price quotes and checks. They do offer 10% for ASU peeps. Sweet deal!
Then later with more checks, my ears were almost bleeding when he mentioned the word «engine». Ugh.
Barry gave some honest advice and options.
Decision: to buy an engine that could or just the radiator w/​fingers crossed? Radiator plus fingers crossed.
Cody and Barry helped me throughout the process. These guys earned my 5-​stars for superb service, kindness, and honesty. During my visit, they even saved a lady from buying a rotten lemon under their thorough inspection. Serves that salesman right for lying. Thank you Sun Devil Auto team!

I live in Illinois my daughter lives in Scottsdale. She was having a AC problem on a older jeep. I sent here here to have it looked at. I called asked them to check it out that I needed her car to be safe. They told me that the AC compressor needed to be replaced. They told me 1200.00 I said OK please check it over. They called me backk told me it needed extra work price increased to 1800. I said do it. My daughter picks up the car the rear view mirrors in the front seat left front door latch bolts loose and falling off. They up sold me on some BS parts. but did not address the saftey issues. Do not use.

We have been taking our family vehicles to the Sun Devil Auto in East Mesa consistently for over 20 years. From minor to major repairs and maintenance, we can always count on them to take care of us. We’ve seen staff come and go and the place move and expand but the service and reliability has been nothing short of fantastic, trustworthy and consistent. Did I mention we’ve been going to them for over 20 years?! Even after moving out of the area I personally still take the longer drive to get any repairs and/​or maintenance done at the Power and Mckellips location. Highly recommend all the Sun Devil Auto family for their superb service.

This place has the best customer service. You are more than a customer to them, they treat you like a person. I could not imagine going anywhere else going forward. Everyone there seems great but inparticular, Barry and Curtis. I would consider their customer service as outstanding. All questions I had were answered and they took the time to explain things. I had quite a few things needing fixed on my car and I’m confident that I chose the perfect place to have the repairs done. I highly recommended this particular Sun Devil Auto to everyone! If you are looking for honest and quality work at a fair price this is your place. I have been here 3 times now and my car has never ran better. They took me to work and picked me up so I didn’t have to call out. Thank you Barry and crew so much for everything you guys do. Keep it up!

They do great work they work on all my cars and my families cars I refer people to the Sundevil whenever I can they do good work and good prices if there’s ever a problem the manager takes care of it right away I highly recommend this place

I am just passing through from california to Texas. I noticed my car tires were a lil deflated and got concerned… I explained to the guy that I am by myself and had been driving 16 hrs and I am on my way to Texas. The guy took a quick look at all my tires right away and reassured me nothing was wrong. He was sooo nice to not even make me wait. I can only wish them all the good things in the world!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Got told I need new struts & shocks ($ 2200 total) as well as new control arm bushings ($ 750). Called Highline European (recommended by the dealer) and paid $ 350 for new control arm bushings & $ 125 for new sway arm bushings (that they hadn’t included in the $ 750) — total $ 475. Struts and shocks were fine.

Sun Devil Auto did a pretty good job on my complete fuel systems cleanup on my BMW. I feel a lot smoother drive without some sudden jolts in the first few miles. You can get some simple things done where you don’t need to go to a BMW specialist for much cheaper.

Came in for an oil change today saw Cody and he got me in n out within 40 mins!

Quite bluntly, I feel I’ve been screwed the least here. So why did I give five stars? Because I can ask questions about the repairs they completed or suggested and the technicians give me straightforward and honest answers. And if I’m not entirely convinced a repair is as urgent as it sounds, I keep asking questions and the technicians work with me.
My experience at Sun Devil Auto has been the most positive than at other chains, which is why I use Sun Devil Auto exclusively. If you shop around for the lowest price like I used to, the other guys will get the hint that you might be a one-​time customer and will shove unnecessary flushes and other stuff in your face and sometimes you’ll bite. I keep track of my car’s maintenance history and noticed that the other guys usually pushed «recommendations» for things that I had just done elsewhere. This sort of thing tended to happen at places where they didn’t know my car’s maintenance history.
Sun Devil Auto knows my car history because I’ve been going there for 3 years and I value and trust their recommendations. I’m aware that my car needs many things done, but Sun Devil Auto helps me figure out what things are more critical.
Besides, Sun Devil Auto has reasonable prices, everybody there is courteous, their hours are great for people with busy schedules and they can offer you a ride to work/​school/​home if you need it.
They also have discounts online. I asked for a discount the last time I was in and they gave me $ 140 off my bill. I don’t think I’ll ever try another place that’s not Sun Devil Auto.
I’m not entirely sure why the average rating isn’t as high as it should be. But anyway, it seems like being loyal to Sun Devil Auto has paid off for me. My brother also goes here, after I suggested it to him. I would be so mad if he went somewhere else.

Barry Tenenbaum is amazing! These guys know what they are doing. They are friendly, honest and always explain the work needed clearly. I went in thinking I would need body work for a large dent in my bumper. He was able to just push it out from the inside saving me $ 500 deductible. I think most shops would have taken advantage of a situation like that. Thank you Barry you rock! Keep doing what you are doing.

IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I like to consider myself as a DIY kinda guy. When i had trouble with my AC system, I attempted to repair. Without success I brought my 99 Pontiac Bonneville in to sun devil auto. Although I tried to cut corners, they never once made me feel like I did something wrong. In only two hrs my car was ready and blowing cold air finally! Very experienced technicians. From front desk all the way up to the garage manager, the service was excellent

I did not receive a service from Sun Devil Auto but the customer service could not be better. I pulled into the parking lot of Sun Devil Auto because my car motor was overheated and I was unable to drive it home. Unfortunately, Sun Devil Auto was closing up so they could not do any repair that evening but they did take a look at my car. They also let me leave my car in their lot for three days which was so helpful. Great employees!

After to talking to BARRY on the phone about my brakes he said they were open at 7am and to bring my car in, did business with them once before, the next day when I got there he told me in a very rude and unwarming voice that he would not have any mechanics there until 8:30am.
I asked to him why didn’t you tell me that on the phone, his reply was well that’s the way it is, I told him he wasted a lot of time for me as I work, he looked at me with another careless look and said well I don’t have anyone here to work on your car, we don’t have mechanics til 8:30am.
I will never go to Sun devil for anything, I felt alone and no customer service or empathy. Someone needs to tell BARRY if you don’t like your job get a new one, and if you can’t give it 100% then find a job you can. He just wanted to get me in there for business with no regards to me, it was obvious when I got there, but he should have the courtesy to take the little bit of customer service for me to stay. There is nothing worse. I was nothing to him. Of course I left but before I did, I mentioned to BARRY I will write a review on my experience, and believe me I have only written one review in my life before this, my time is worth more but this needed to be said. Thx BARRY, but no thx I have told anyone who listens not to go to Sun Devil ever again.

Stopped in here to have my brakes changed. I was very happy with the service from the initial phone call to check the price of the service to picking up my car at the end.
I called in and said I think I need to get my brake pads changed, they told me, we’ll do a full inspection and let you know if you really need them changed. Cool. This worked out, I did need them changed.
They changed my brake pads and explained to me how my rotors were wearing. Showed me how they measure the thickness of the rotors and how they rotors get smoothed out. I was impressed with the extremely careful attention to the detail of a curious person interested in the services rendered.
I would, 100%, go back here for an additional service. If I get the same level of service on a return visit, I’m bumping this shop up to 5 stars.

Called for a quote on a starter change. Got the usual sales pitch run around «Let me look it up and call you back». Just give me a quote guy I don’t have all day. Tells me it will be right around 400 dollars.
FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS.
It’s a starter. You can get the part for well under 200 bucks and with their discount I’m sure its a lot closer to 100. In the worst case scenario it would take them 25 minutes to swap it out. That’s counting if they decided to take a break in between taking the old one out and putting the new one in. We are talking two bolts and a wire. Not rebuilding the freaking engine here.
I told the guy he was clinically insane if he thought I would pay someone 400 bucks for a starter swap. I even told him that Fletchers already high balled me at $ 280 bucks and I laughed at them.
If you take your car to these crooks you deserve what you get.
