Well & Being at Willow Stream

I came in needing some serious color therapy. I am a fairly dark brunette and I have been trying to go white for awhile. Brian H spent time and focused his amazing skill and expertise to become the first person to get me the color I have been looking for. He went above and beyond. I am so happy with my experience.

I urge people to NOT go to this place. I had bought a session thru Groupon and when my wife booked her time slot, they made her put her card on file and stated THEY WILL NOT CHARGE IT, its to hold in case she doesn’t show up! Guess what after my wife had her prepaid session… THEY CHARGED HER $ 84 on her card and we didn’t notice until two days later… And they did NOTHING to help but say we reversed the charge and should be back in 2 – 3 days… If we didn’t check our account… They would never had said anything… PLEASE DON’T USE THIS PLACE … UNPROFESSIONAL

See review by Fancypants X below. Not much more I can add. My massage therapist, Dusty, was divine. The spa is beautiful. The amenities and products top notch. It’s pricey so when you are in the mood to splurge — go for it. I guarantee I will be back.

Was looking forward to returning to the spa after great memories of visiting a few years ago. Sadly, the spa is nothing like it was. First of all, the beautiful stream and open air roof that ran through the spa is gone. You could take tea or lunch by the stream in your robe and it was the most peaceful experience. Now instead they have a exercise area. Really? Could that have been put elsewhere? It’s all about adding more, but what they lost with that stream they can’t get back.
Other issues
People seem less than friendly here and sorry to say have attitude.
Spa meals are now pre ordered and take 30 minutes. Not the same lunch experience.
One extremely disturbing detail is the black mold in the grotto pools under the rim of edge. The jacuzzi in the women’s water area also had black mold on the walls as well as in the pool tiles. As a pool owner I know this is easy to clean and frankly made me question the cleanliness of the whole spa.
In general, it seems this spa has lost it’s wonderful charm and is not being run well either.

Super overpriced without the service I expected. Several staff members were rude, there were no open chairs by the pool, and amenitiies just didnt seem up to par (for instance, the showers in the womens restroom would randomly get scorching hot, im assuming from a toilet being flushed). I made a complaint due to the fact that they wouldnt give me the wifi password (which was for hotel guests only I guess) because it was a «cell phone free area» but everyone had a phone out by the pool, and signs said «call this number in case of emergency,» so it was frustrating that I couldnt return work emails while i waited due to no cell service and lack of wifi password. My complaint fell on very condescending ears — yea, i get it, my generation is on the phone too much but im not bothering anyone else and thats my decision. For this price, they should really step up their game. Another pet peeve of mine is when a massage therapist trys to sell me on something I’m not interested in, which this one did when she talked at length about trying reiki. Not the amazing spa experience I was expected, or have gotten in other spas in this price range.

Bought a Travelzoo certificate for an hour massage, it was perfect. My certificate was to include lunch as well as a glass of wine. Never got my lunch and the wine was in a rip off tab glass of wine. Horrible customer service at the front desk. Was told by the manager, Lyndsey Mahalek that everything would be taken care of and two days later I notice none of it was. I was charged twice by the spa. After calling them they refunded the tip for the massage because I left cash but that was it. Horrible, Horrible customer service. I do not recommend this place. Save your money.

Purchased the Living well package with include 60 min deep tissue massage and lunch and access to the spa facilities. My massage therapist was Danielle were nice and knowledgeable. At first was a disappointed due to my massage was scheduled for 11:15 but Danielle didn’t come to get me until 12:00. She was not my typically massage therapist that I have enjoyed in the past. But to my surprise she was very good. Will definitely request her in the future. The lunch choice was her suggestion also. Will be definitely come back. Used the Swiss shower and stream room also like recommend. The only thing that could have been better if the manicure or pedicure was included like the past. That special is not available this month. And also they should offer afternoon classes they offer Trx/​surf boarding and balance yoga etc. but these classes are only in the morning! The only class that was in the evening was at 1 pm and only had 1 person in that class. Come on Willow stream!

I wish I could give, like 4.5 stars – there was only one hitch to my otherwise fabulous day that was kinda annoying.
Every aspect of my time at the day spa was outstanding – check-​in efficient and polite, the changing facilities are pristine (shout out to the attendants), the wet area restorative (I’m now in love with the scent of eucalyptus again), the grotto now OPEN again, food great, rooftop pool beautiful and relaxing. Not to mention my moisture wrap with David. I left feeling like jello.
My only issue, actually was with the east pool. With spa service, you can attend any of the fitness classes that day. My excellent aqua aerobics class with Theresa was at the East Pool, and the folks at the spa were awesome enough to call a shuttle to spirit me over.
The guard at the pool, however, would not let me into the EMPTY pool area. I introduced myself as a guest at the spa and that I was coming for a specific class at a specific time. No dice. Other folks waiting outside the pool (guests of the hotel who didn’t produce any information to the effect that I saw) verbally encouraged him to let me in, and even once he did so, he came to find me in the pool area AGAIN to yet AGAIN explain why I had the right to be there.
What a downer. Should I mention I was the only black person involved in this whole debaucle? Something seemed to suggest to that guard that I didn’t belong, he seemed exceptionally proactive in correcting this perceived wrong, and that wasn’t a great way to start a day of relaxation. While tacky and annoying, if the hotel is going to be so proactive in policing pool entry (which, again, I didn’t see at any other time there), then spa guests should get a wrist band or some other determination to save us the indignity of having to justify our right to be there. And I admit this a fluke – this is the only class I know of not in the actual spa area.
But do go! The spa itself is just fantastic.

This an absolutely gorgeous spa! The amenities are five stars!!! The staff was wonderful. We will be back!

Nothing I write will do this spa justice. Suffice it to say that the next time you’re making a wish when blowing out candles or writing your wish list to Santa, ask for a day of services here.

– exercise classes are available, so is food (for a fee) which can be delivered to wherever you are
– locker rooms have Swiss shower, cold plunge pool, dry sauna, steam room, whirlpool, etc.
– try the sweet, delicious prickly pear lemonade in your lounge

Who could give this any less than 5 stars?! It’s amazing! The waterfalls were so nice! The prickly pear lemonade was by far my favorite!!! I could have drank the whole jug and I’m not a lemonade person. We found a travelzoo for the couples suite which was nice. The room could use some updating but all together it was good. If you are looking for a full spa experience come here.

Worth every penny! My massage was heavenly, the pool, aromatherapy room, ladies hot tub/​plunge pool, and gratto were amazing. The grounds literally took my breath away.
. HEAVEN. They have wonderful Champagne and the Cobb salad was Delish! I am a breastfeeding new mama and they were so accommodating with my needing to pump and store milk. The front desk also hooked me up with earbuds when I forgot mine. My only tiny complaint would be that it does take a full ½ an hour to 45 minutes to get beverages at the pool, they do however warm you about that in advance.**TIP** check monthly specials posted online– I got a 1 hr massage and lunch for $ 159– they also accept spa finder gift cards. ENJOY!

Officially on the TOP 3 SPAS IN MY WORLD LIST. I’m not an über-​experienced spa goer, but I have been to some pretty nice spas around the world… and this spa is on par with the terme spa at the Grand Wailea on Maui, and the Four Seasons in Hong Kong harbor.
TIP: Spa meals take up to 45 min for prep/​delivery at peak times. Plan accordingly.
The spa is 40,000 sq feet but it feels intimate and approachable at every turn.
1. PERFECT service. Towels magically refresh. Water handily available as well as prickly pear lemonade, ice tea, waters, wine, cucumber collins… hydrate or inebriate… it’s up to you. Snacks, smoothies… it’s all available and all the non-​alcohol options are gratis.
2. PERFECT water temps. The coed waterfall area is magical. The rooftop coed pool water temp is so perfect, and the big floating pillows are also magical and relaxing.
3. PERFECT environments. There are places to be social, places for solitude/meditation…fitness center with surf workouts and aerial yoga… again — just so many well-​planned spaces at the right scale.
4. PERFECT dressing room amenities. Everything down to the hairdryers, brushes, cosmetic supplies, etc is fabulous.
5. PERFECT MIX OF SPA PRODUCTS. The spa store carries multiple, leading product lines along a range of luxury levels — Kerestase, Naturopathica, Kai… there were so many to choose from!
I had a Bod Pod assessment done to accurately measure my body fat %, so that was a HUGE bonus!

I recently completed an Ironman Triathlon. That consists of a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and then a 26.2 mile run. I felt pretty good afterwards but my parents planned ahead and gave me a gift certificate and they made an appointment for me for the next day. I’m not a «spa guy» but I figured why not? It’s paid for already.
I woke up the next morning with some swelling in my feet, my calf and thigh muscles ached and my knees and lower back hurt. Other than that, I felt great!
I got the «sports massage» which involves mild and deep pressure with oil. The masseuse also used heat and cold for the swelling and inflammation. It felt fantastic.
In addition to the massage I also used the adults-​only waterfall. I was the only guy but I felt comfortable. The therapeutic effects diminished somewhat by that evening but I felt a lot better than I did when I hobbled into the spa.
I may have to treat myself to this more often.

One of the best spas I’ve been to in the U.S. The quality and temperatures for the whirlpool, sauna, steamroom, etc, were all just right. There are nice touches like prickly pear lemonade, kiwi cactus tea, eucalyptus shower spray, good quality shower stuff. Class all around.
I got a BodPod test done, and my evaluation was really well done, the fitness guy really knows what he’s talking about. The price is better than average, too.
Some areas are co-​ed (waterfall pool, swimming pool, courtyard) and most people there had their bathing suits on. I usually disapprove of wearing bathing suits at a spa, but it kind of works for this environment.
People were really rude though, leaving towels, cups, etc, all over for someone else to pick up. This place was really slamming for a Monday, and I couldn’t believe how many people were being inconsiderate of others. I don’t think many people were showering before using the rest of the facilities either — this is a big no-​no, you need to shower off first thing. I wish more spas would tell customers they need to shower (maybe put a sign up suggesting the correct order of use), and not to use cell phones or talk loudly.
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here, though. I will definitely be back. Maybe next time I will check out the café and gym. Check their monthly specials, they have good deals available.

Wonderful spa with great amenities. I have had both massage and facials here and both have been great. You can really make this an all day retreat. They have good prickly pear lemonade and other spa snacks. The multiple pools are nice and relaxing. I highly recommend for a wonderful spa day.

Pretty sweet spot — top 2 spas I have been two and I can’t remember the other one so I guess this is it.
This place has top notch amenities with my favorite details being the eucalyptus spray in the shower, the comfortable reading chairs in the waiting area, and the unique pool floats at the rooftop pool. Also at the pool I appreciated the complimentary sunscreen and waters available. The waterfall pool also being a nice feature.
For serious gym goers the gym here is a bit limited both in space and equipment particularly if others are also in the room.
Also small details here are still missing like the confusion where to have your meal served as they do not ask you that on the meal form. Also the men’s toilet sink area I visited did not offer soap or towels, not sure if it was an oversight or if I was supposed to go to another room to wash up. Finally, I tried the smoothies but at $ 10 these are truly overpriced for the small amount you get, particularly for men. Consider different sizes and a better pricing format.
I paid for the bod pod service to measure fat percentage. Primarily because it was fairly priced. My only comment on this service was the sheet provided with the analysis talks about kcal information and to learn more see the additional information sheet which was not provided or offered during the service.
In conclusion, while I rate this location 5 stars primarily for the beautiful property, there is certainly areas that could use improvement. I imagine the toughest challenge for a business like this is learning how to avoid complacency and continuing to offer the highest level of service imaginable.

I was in town for the iQmetrix Retailer Summit and decided to grab a quick bite at the Well & Being. I had the Roasted Red Beet Salad which was described as «Seasonal apples, frise’e, and a flax seed vinaigrette» and my colleague had the Curry Yogurt Chicken Breast Lettuce Wraps described as «Raisins, green apples, butter lettuce, Israeli couscous, and a tomato-​cucumber salad.»
First, I had to ask what Frise’e is. Apparently it’s a really frizzy (hence the name?) green. Once I saw it I remember eating this before in other salads.
The salad itself was a real let down. The frise’e is really bitter, as was the apple. The Roasted Red Beet (that headlined the salad ‘s name) was minimally proportioned and a welcome break between the bitter bites.
The salad really needed something acidic, I squoze the orange from my drink into it. It just wasn’ t enough. It could be vastly improved with a mix of greens (add some Butter Lettuce, and perhaps some sliced tomato?) and please add some more beets or change the name!
My colleague said the tomato-​cucumber salad was, «slimey.»

I imagine it would be tough to work at the Willow Stream Spa.

Sorry, boss. It’s 95 degrees warm in there and my shoulders need some TLC. At least I’m not bent over under the cascade of H2O like one of the Kardashians massaging my lower back & booty.

Sorry, boss. I feel like a high roller just looking at this pool and cabanas, surrounded by palm trees and clear blue sky, I had to take me a dip.
Are all spas this good looking and glamorously appointed? The men’s locker room has zero-​gravity lounges and an HDTV. A far cry from my local YMCA.
I think this may be among the most peaceful and relaxing places I’ve ever been to and if you book a Gold Club room, it’s included with your stay at The Princess.
