Dr Paws

Dr. Sperling and Dr. Wendi are very kind, compassionate and have taken great care of our dogs, but Nicole (receptionist) is extremely rude and impatient. When you ask her a question you feel as though you’re putting her out or made to feel impatient.
I’m not going to give them less than a five star review because of the attitude of one receptionist, but she could certainly use a course dealing with worried pet parents.
Overall, I would (and have) trusted my pets with Dr. Paws for a while now and will continue to do so.

Dr. Wendi is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I have a very nervous large pitbull. Dr. Werger never judges our boy and is very kind and gentle with him. We seem to also deal with Christine the VT and she is equally as compassionate. She even came out to the parking to give him his vaccinations bc he was too scared to go inside. They are patient, accommodating and caring. They seem to be very dedicated to their jobs. Recommend highly! Thanks so much to everyone at Dr. Paws, esp. Dr. Werger and Christine!

Dr. Paws was referred to us by a gent with whom I got into a conversation about dogs, as we both have the same breed. He said that he did some work with the local animal shelter and seemed highly engaged in the care of his dog. We’d had a bad experience with a local vet in Clarks Summit, and so we had been using a vet about 25 minutes away. We were looking for one more local to us, so I took his advice and decided to give Dr. Paws a look.
Over the course of maybe 5 or 6 visits, I’ve found both of the Vets and the VT’s to be great. The office is very clean and bright, the staff takes plenty of time to go over the issue and then leaves the decision making up to us.
All of the people on the staff seem to be genuinely interested in caring for our dog. They have given my guy great treatment and offered us good, honest advice.
(It’s not a very large operation, and they were not accepting new cases when we called initially. We tried again at a later date, and we were brought right in.)

I was very pleased with the attention that the staff showed my dog. Even after the exam was complete and my questions were answered, the vet (Wendi) stuck around to talk casually about pet ownership. When speaking about vaccinations and treatments, she spoke frankly about which ones are optional. It sealed the deal for a good review when she told me that they wouldn’t judge me if I chose not to get all the vaccines– that they supported my decision to pick and choose based on my dog’s environment. I haven’t been to many other vets, but I was also surprised at how affordable the entire visit was. All in all, I am very happy.
