Stopped in for breakfast/brunch. Had the ranch eggs which were delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked and chorizo, beans and sauce were great compliments. Side order of Home fries were plentiful and crispy without being overdone. My wife had the sausage omelette which was flavorful. Eggs cooked nicely and cooper cheese and onions were very flavorful. The others in our party had the egg white wrap and a smoked ham omelette, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

I was in town for a wedding and saw that this place had great reviews, so decided to check it out for lunch. It was fairly crowded inside, but there were still a few tables open around 12:30 pm on a Saturday, so I was pleased I didn’t have to wait. You order at the counter and then the food comes out pretty quickly. It was a little loud because there was a really large group in there when I ate, but that was all right. It still would have been possible to carry on a conversation. I ordered a bowl of their New England clam chowder and the over easy club sandwich. The soup was really good and had a ton of clam pieces in it. Some places have extra potato so they can skimp on the clam, but definitely not here. I even got a little pack of oyster crackers to go with it. The sandwich was enormous and beautiful and delicious. I didn’t expect it to be so large, and came nowhere close to finishing it, since I was already filling up on the soup. I kind of wish I had gotten the english muffin breakfast sandwich, since I think it would be smaller, but for taste, this sandwich was awesome and I was very pleased. A little messy, but what else would you expect from over easy eggs?

No blue cheese. Got 2 chicken Caesar salads. They were ok. Salty and chicken was dry. Chicken was marinated with balsamic possibly. Would try something else there if we hit this town again.

My breakfast burrito was huge, full of so many foods, and spicy. This place knows how to make a burro and knows how to make people happy. Honestly I usually test a place on their hot sauce options, this place has SOMEOPTIONS. Even house made which is significantly better than any other store brand hot sauce.

There is a reason this place is number one in the ratings, great food, nice menu and decent prices. Food comes out pretty fast considering how busy they were when we visited. It was our first time eating there. We were in Scranton for an appointment and when we decided to have lunch, I suggested this place.(I had previously read the great reviews) Hubby ordered the southwest burger. Thumbs up! I ordered the House Ramen, and their signature grilled cheese. Nice! The sandwich arrived with Tomato soup on the side. Uh oh. I already had soup, no worries, it tasted great the next day for lunch! As I said, the place was mobbed, so I amused myself by watching other people’s orders go by. Man, their salads are huge! The salad is on my list for our next visit.

We were driving back to Ottawa and wanted to get some breakfast in Scranton. Unilocaled this place. My kids enjoyed the sweet potato fries, and the tuna melt sandwich. The breakfast barrio my wife ordered was also really good! I ordered an awesome omelet full of sausage and cheese with a side of home fries. Overall it was a very nice breakfast in a very homey place.

Food was delicious, starting with fresh soup and the best tune melt I’ve eaten with skin on cut fries. Yummy! The previous reviews were spot on.

Love love love. Always fresh, quick service, and new tasty items! Good size portions as well. They switch up their specials constantly, it’s rare if they ever have the same special. Always trying new things and mix food together you would never think of! It’s one of our favorite most frequent lunch spot. Def a place to try when in the Scranton area.

Came here with a friend today and had the signature grilled cheese with bacon added. Absolutely delicious! Service was very quick and price was good for the amount of food you get. Can’t wait to try something else on the menu! Will definitely be back :)

Good local eatery in downtown area of Scranton. This place is busy at lunch time with many people walking to it from nearby work. The sandwich was well prepared and tasty and the salad too.

Walked here from my hotel, and I am so glad I did! Breakfast was a difficult choice, but I finally settled on the egg white wrap with tomato-basil compote and a side of fruit. The wrap was delicious and adding quinoa to the egg white and feta was a wonderful touch – added interest to the texture without overpowering the eggs. The fruit was fresh and sweet, even the coffee was good! Looking forward to trying JJ’s for lunch next time I am in town.

This small inconspicuous café located on the corner of Linden and North Washington is a true gem. They were doing work to the sidewalk when we visited and we entered through the kitchen(kitchen was clean!). The grilled cheese with bacon jelly and tomato soup was out of this world. The bread was thick, fresh and toasted to perfection. The bacon jelly was salty and sweet and tasted amazing dunked in the creamy tomato soup. The duo was served with fresh potato chips that were seasoned and absolutely addicting. I didn’t bring my tape measure(lol to those pics) but the portion size was plentiful and perfect for the price. JJ’s will definitely be my breakfast/lunch spot whenever I’m in the area!

If this review was based on food alone there are not enough stars to rate it. I have been working in town for a couple weeks now and everything I have had hear has been amazing. The porkstrami is amazing, the ramen is amazing, the grilled cheese with bacon jam is amazing too. Now my visit today left me highly disappointed… I ordered the grilled cheese which comes with soup, after my sandwich was brought to me I was told my soup would be right out. 20 minutes later I still have not received my soup. It is very unfortunate because I really enjoy the tomato soup. I am not one to remind someone how to do their job so I guess I will be without soup today. It was not very busy so I don’t feel like it should be difficult to remember the other half of the meal. Fortunately the grilled cheese amazing, I don’t think I can state that enough. Will this mistake keep me from returning? Only time will tell

I’ve been here twice. The first time, I had the turkey avocado which was good but not great. Yesterday, I had the marinated steak sandwich and it was wonderful. It was so flavorful and fresh just like the owner intented for all of the items they offer. The staff was very friendly and food came out very quickly. It’s very unfortunate that this was my last week in Scranton. Such a gem and glad I found it. :D I’m sure my co-workers will continue to visit JJ McNally’s for their lunches before their flights.

Glad this place exists! Awesome food, great prices, laid back environment, and high quality Ingredients! A great choice for any appetite(vegan, paleo, etc.)! Will be back. Scranton needs more places like this. Oh, and I even noticed that their corn tortillas are extra nice and almost seem homemade if that’s possible, like they choose not to serve cheap tortillas. It’s the small things I notice. The fact that they even offer corn tortillas is great, many other restaurants have fish tacos but only offer flour tortillas and for someone who is trying to be gluten-free, it’s nice. I also heard they’ll serve their sliders wrapped in lettuce. See, they rock!
