This place does not even deserve one star. After moving in when my boyfriends lease ended, we tried multiple times to sign a new lease. The property manager is extremely rude and unorganized. Each time we would come in to sign a new lease, she would tell us to come back a different day. We would return on the date she gave us only for her to tell us she had not written up a new rental policy for us. As an apartment complex with hundreds of apartments, shouldn’t you have applications ready to go? In addition, she constantly messed up payments and eventually stated that no one could make separate payments for one apartment because it was «too much for her to handle.» Our downstairs neighbor complained about every little noise we made, no matter how quiet we attempted to be. We ended up getting a dog and had not paid the security yet because we still had not signed the lease. The downstairs neighbor reported us for the dog and the office manager waited until the last day of the month to evict us. We moved out within a week of eviction and were still charged rent up until the date they rented the apartment out again. They had kept our security deposit ($ 1070) to cover the month of November, which is when we moved out. I spoke with the head guy in New Jersey and was told that we were even as far as payment because we would not receive the security deposit back. We provided our forwarding address to Jake, the head guy we spoke with, and Sonia, the office manager, a total of three times. This month we happened to check my boyfriends credit score and they reported him to a collection agency for failure to pay. We were never contacted stating we owed them any type of money. They were saying we owed them $ 357 for 7 days in December. I contacted the collection agency and paid the balance to make it all go away, but it was still the worst experience ever. I have been renting for years and NEVER had any issues such as this. The central air/​heat is outrageously expensive. Every person living there pays a different price depending on whether Sonia likes you or not. An upstairs apartment is significantly more expensive than a downstairs and if you have dark cabinets instead of white you’re charged hundreds more as well. The office is rarely open, they state 9 – 5 on their website, but Sonia usually makes it in after 12 and leaves whenever she pleases. As I previously stated, she is absolutely awful and rude, including staring me down and calling me arrogant for confronting her to ask about a difference in prices she had quoted me. Also, there is no pool as stated on the website either. It is simply a mass of concrete with leaves and sticks in it. The property is not cared for, they throw some mulch over the leaves and call it landscaping. As others have stated, snow removal is non-​existent. There is a large amount of parking, but only certain apartments get their designated two spots marked off and all others are left to fend for themselves. Walls are incredibly thin and poorly insulated so you hear everything your neighbor says or does which leads to many complaints for simply trying to live.
This place is truly beautiful, but the management is so poor that it is not worth living at. I advise anyone who plans to live here to get EVERYTHING you are told in writing and read your lease thoroughly before signing. If you do not give 60 days notice of moving out (even if you are evicted) you will be responsible for 60 days rent after you provide notice.
