NOTE Fragrances

We had such a great time today at NOTE! I am shocked that this is not a concept everywhere. I am from DC and know a shop like this would fit right in. If you are in Scranton, this is a MUST!

If I lived in Scranton, I would live here! My sister and I wondered in after looking for cool Scrantony gifts for my friends back in Cali — and we were recommended this place. Alyssa helped us out and she was wonderful and a delight to work with. The sister and I had a ball and the stuff we bought smells amazing! Shop local and small businesses! This place rocks!

I had a great time here tonight making my own perfume! I walked in not knowing what the store sold, and was quickly given a tour of the place. They have a few great premade perfumes I case you don’t want to make your own. But I thought why not give it a try! I sat down at the perfume bar which comprised of about 50 or so fragrance oils. At first it was a little intimidating, because I was worried that I would make a gross smelling scent, but to my surprise most combinations smelled good together. The different categories of scents were explained to me. I ended up taking my time and ended up smelling almost all of them. Who knew what frankincense and myrrh smelled like?! I finally chose 4 oils for my perfume and it was mixed in a little perfume bottle. I chose the smallest size (the have 3 sizes) to test out my fragrance. They also keep your scent on file so you can reference it if you come back for more. I worked with Lisa who was super helpful and gave nice recommendations. She also stayed late past closing time because I had to smell every scent before finalizing my perfume.
