What a find. Wine store next door and no corking fee. We got the linguini with meatball and lasagna, both were excellent, and the portions made two meals each. Friendly service.

Great little place! Was very surprised… the red sauce was rich and flavorful. The Calzone was excellent with a combination of fresh ricotta and mozzarella. Mmmmmmm, good stuff, Maynard!

I discovered this place last week when working in the area. I decided to grab a pizza to go on my way home this evening. I ordered a pizza with half pepperoni, extra sauce and well done. I received a pizza that was barely fully cooked(the pepperoni wasn’t even cook through and almost looked like they added it late because they forgot to put it on the pizza) and what I would consider light sauce. Also, I would not consider this New York Style pizza either even by the standards of other«New York» style pizza places in the area. I called back and they offered to make a new pizza(which I didn’t want have the desire to drive back for or wait for) so I at least gave them one star for that. They also offered a discount for the next time I came in but since they made two mistakes one one pizza I don’t think they deserve a second chance.

I needed a place to carb overload before running the steamtown marathon in the morning and this place was the perfect option. Right across the street from my hotel and no wait when I called ahead. I walked in and had to wait to be greeted, then waited longer to be seated. Was finally seated and the menu had exactly what i was looking looking for. A simple oil and noodles dish. I got some garlic knots(they come with the dish) and they were excellent! Keep in mind the restaurant does not have a liquor license, so make sure to bring your own bottle of wine from the liquor store next door and enjoy your meal and drink of choice. Only reason i wouldn’t give them a 5 star rating is because I was essentially ignored for 10 minutes when I entered the restaurant. A simple hello, we will be with in a few would of been great. Otherwise, great food and good service, once you are sitting. If i run in this city again, I will be back for sure.

It was next to our hotel and recommended by the desk clerk. We had pizza which was just ok. The tables had a film on them and the carpet dirty. Would not go back.

Sacco’s is a great place for dinner that features hearty Italian specials, along with delicious desserts like cannolis! Combine this with good service and decent prices, and you’ve got yourself a nice option for a birthday dinner or a rainy Saturday evening. The only thing that I didn’t like from there was the chicken cheese steak, but everything else I’ve had has been amazing. My favorite item has been the roast beef sub.

Great food! This is one of the few delicious restaurants in Scranton that delivers to the local hospital I work at. Wing bites are incredible! The wing sauce is the perfect blend between hot and sweet. The salads are huge and can feed a person for days! Prices are great for the quality food they serve.

Sacco’s is my favorite place to go for some nice penne ala vodka. Delicious soups that change every day or standard the cappelletti, your options are great for the start of your entrée(or you could get a salad but don’t. Get the soup). They bring out garlic knots to your table before your dinner and these are probably the greasiest garlic knots you’ll ever see. That’s okay though, it’s delicious. The food is very generously portioned in that you will most likely always have leftover pasta. But that’s fine, you’ll get to enjoy it twice. It’s usually always slow so there’s typically only one waitress on so be aware if it gets busy you might not have all their attention. The inside is small but very clean and pretty. The AC can get pretty intense in the summer sometimes though, to the point where I had to run to my car to get a jacket.

What’s not to love? Great food. Love anything eggplant there. The red sauce is tasty. Take out portions are good-sized and include delish soup and garlic knots. Nice spot for dinner, clean, comfortable booths and BYOB. It’s right off the 81 if you are driving through.

We normally order from Sacco’s. We have never had a problem when doing so. Now, last time we actually went to the place it was so unbelievably awkward — yes, awkward — that I will never go back there ever again. We first walked in and there were maybe 5 people at tables there eating. The wait staff stared at us from the back of the restaurant and we waited several minutes before one of them decided to come up to us. We were then asked if «we had reservations». I looked around the restaurant filled with empty tables and said«no, did we need one?». Then the girl told me no, we didn’t. Our soup was cold and the service sub-par. I think it was the quickest we have ever eaten when out at a restaurant because we just couldn’t wait to leave. If you are ordering take-out, they are great. But I would never suggest eating there.

Very good food, friendly staff, pleasant surroundings. Portions are very generous. We stopped off the highway but I’m sure the locals know the place.

This place is in the same center as manning ice cream. What a good combination. Garlic knots and mozzarella sticks were super. The salad was crisp, the chicken parm was good. The décor is nicer inside than out and our server was nice. We did not have the pizza but.

Delicious food! I especially like the eggplant sub. They have some pretty good looking calzones, but I like my calzone with spinach, which they don’t offer. Otherwise the pizza is good and it’s a nice place to have a relaxing meal

Stopped in to Sacco’s on a Saturday night after work. Ordered the Caprese and Chicken Parm. Caprese was a bit different than I expected, with mozzarella balls instead of slices, however the amount was plentiful. The chicken parm was okay. The chicken itself was prepared well, thin with a good crust, however the sauce was bland; more than likely the same sauce used for pizzas. Pricing was reasonable, good service.

One of the best hot wing strombolis I have ever had! Salads are amazing and if you get chicken they literally put in a pound of chicken! However, I have gotten the Italian several times and my hoagie bun is soggy. I have just stuck to ordering everything else on the menu and have no complaints!

In town for the marathon and these two reviews led us here. $ 5 for the corking fee– practically fee! They provide glasses and corkscrew. Very reasonable prices for huge portions of pasta. I had linguini w/garlic and oil and added chicken. Not at all bland and chicken was not overdone Others has meatballs with ziti. All loved them. Tasty buttery bread called garlic knots hit the spot too. Though we de-greased them a tad. All entrees come with bread and salad or soup. Very good service. They offer simple combinations making it great for the meal before a marathon. We were told they take reservations.
