The Ski Corner

I was not going to do this but after having a fantastic experience at another local ski shop, I have to.
I visited during the evening with the intention of purchasing equipment for the upcoming ski season and having never owned my own ski equipment, I was out of my element and needed help. There were three employees (that I saw) working, one on his phone and two others goofing around with a shelving unit. After making it known that I was interested in purchasing skis and needed some help, I stood at the racks for 5 minutes or so. No one ever came. I was the only customer in the shop. It was absolutely a lost sale because I just purchased all of my equipment from another shop. Get it together people.

Wow. This place can’t be the same place that the earlier reviews talked about. (maybe new owners?) Selection was AMAZING. Probably the largest selection of gear and clothing I’ve ever seen in a shop. People there were SUPER friendly, and KNEW THEIR STUFF!
Some of the stuff they were showing me boggled my mind. I picked up a pair of Rossi Soul 7s with Marker Jesters, but the biggest thing I loved was their bootfitting. I’ve got Funky feet. They took the time to get me the perfect pair of boots (kinda freaked me out when they told me to remove my socks and they started feeling my feet. But I get it. They found every problem I had.) Then they put me on this Boot Doctor Machine and it told me I had High arches and picked out a custom insoel for it. They heated them in an oven, put them on Ice and started snipping and cutting. Then they heated the OUTSIDE of my boots and molded them to my feet. The boots are amazing. They feel like bedroom slippers. Cudos to Scott and Megan. They really helped me out. Def ask for them. They know what they’re doing.

I would have given this place a Zero rating if it was allowed! This is the worst ski store in the area. Terrible service, no assistance, no one has any idea what they are doing. I purchased a ski package from here and on my first run down the mountain the binding came right off of the ski and I broke my arm and injured my knee. When I went back and asked for a manager to tell them what happened and to get a refund, they told me that the manager was either «unavailable» or «not currently there». But the best part is that they would always go into the back to «see if the manager was there» so the cowardly manager /​owner sat in the back every time that I came in and would never confront me. At one point they recognized me after continuously coming in and the manager actually ran to hide in the back when I entered. In the end they never gave me a refund, all they said was we can fix the binding and ski for you… What a joke. So I took my business elsewhere to get it professionally repaired, not by those idiots. DO NOT SHOP HERE they don’t care about you, just the profit.
