Believe the positive reports, this is the real deal. Excellent customer service, truthful, fair prices, fast and reliable.
We brought our 10 year old Saturn here to have a check up on a noise it was making, they had every opportunity to try to gouge us for small things and they didn’t.
They advised us of the things that were wrong gave us choices on what we wanted to do, they fixed two broken motor mounts and then called two days later to make sure we were happy and that everything went well, imagine that. They actually care if their customers are happy.
You won’t be disappointed in fact it will renew your faith in Customer service. thanks to everyone there for doing an excellent job.

Another local shop messed up the headlights on my car and the beams were shooting straight down! Took car to the Mazda dealership figuring it was a slam dunk and they could fix the problem easily. They said they weren’t equipped to make that kind of repair! WHAT? They wanted me to leave the car and get a rental, blah, blah, blah. Sounded ridiculous to me. Called Automotive Excellence, they told me to bring it over. I was in and out with the headlights adjusted in 15 minutes!!! They have a new customer! Thanks to Peter and Danny! You guys rock!

Highly recommend this shop. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Great and honest service.

I really thought about writing this review because I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the service I received by Andrew. Let me start off by saying that I chose this place because AAA recommended them so I decided to call and ask some questions. I spoke to Jim and I got a vibe from him … He seemed straight forward and honest and he offered a 3 year warranty on the work. Then I met the tow truck driver who works there and picked up my car… He seem cool … Again straight shooter ., which I appreciate. Anyway my car had a slow leak in one of the gaskets that burned out my starter. Anyway … I needed to have my car done same day so I wouldn’t miss work the next day… So I checked up on my car 2x because nobody was calling me to tell me what was up. I ended up working with Andrew … A service manager or something like that. My car was done an hour before closing… About 7 hrs later. When I got there I spoke to Otis the mechanic who worked on my car. Super cool dude! Now the disappointing part… the receipt said that the car didn’t miss fire but that possible miss fires could happen. I asked why… nobody could answer the question because Andrew was gone. If they replaced the starter new and put on a new gasket cover and fixed the leak why would I have miss fires and why wouldn’t I get a call to see if I wanted whatever would cause the miss fire fixed. So I asked if Andrew could call me to explain…3 days later Andrew calls and tells me that the seal on one of the coils is broken but it was still connected so he didn’t see the need to replace it because I needed it the same day… SAY WHAT??? Then he went on to say that the broken seal can cause miss fires but it’s not a big deal changing the seal takes no time and is super inexpensive … SAAY WHAAT 2X! If it’s such a minor fix why couldn’t he have done it as a customer service thing? Or called me and said we will charge you X amount to fix this … Yes or no? No instead he decided it’s not a big deal that my car could miss fire because of this broken seal and blame me for needing my car to be fixed same day. Not cool ANDREW… Not cool. It sucks how one bad apple (Andrew) can ruin the bunch!

I’ve been relying on Unilocal for reviews for years, but I have never felt strongly enough to post a review until now. I was BLOWN away by the incredible customer service and SPEED of service provided to me at Automotive Excellence.
I was leaving for work when I realized that my barely six month old tire was completely flat thanks to a few unwelcome nails and cold morning air. With no way to call out and a very limited amount of time, I rushed to the shop where I had originally purchased the tires — they had told me that they had time to fit me in, however once I arrived they claimed they were booked all day and that my car would have to be kept until late in the evening! So I called Automotive Excellence to see if they could do a quick patch on my tire in the few minutes I had left before I absolutely had to leave for my 1 hour commute.
Once I pulled in it was like I had my own personal Indy 500 pit crew! I was blown away at how quickly almost the entire staff jumped up to help and get to work! I actually had to tell them that they could slow down a bit because at the rate they were going I had plenty of time! They were friendly, beyond helpful, and had the entire repair done with ease in about 13 minutes flat. Not to mention there was a puppy for me to pet while I was waiting! I am beyond impressed with their service and will definitely be a loyal customer from this point forward! Thank you Automotive Excellence!

Had my car towed here to replace the AAA battery and fix a tire. The guys were professional and easy to work with. My car was fixed quickly. Special thanks to Andrew for going above my expectations and having the car washed and vacuumed! I will go here again… Highly recommend this shop!

I’ve been taking my car to Joe and Andrew for over 20 years now. They never fail to give me great service, complete the job on-​time, and so far I have never had any mechanical failures as a result of their work. I look forward to bringing my cars to Automotive Excellence in the future.

Still my favorite spot for all things car related! Great spot to get tires (beat Costco’s price) and/​or for regular maintenance.

I love finding good to great business’s and writing positive reviews when possible. However I can’t in this case, if Unilocal had a minus star scale Automotive Excellence would be on the high minus scale. Andrew the owner did the work and damage to the car.
Over the weekend my son on the way to taking his car to a car meet on Friday night had a caliper come loose on his car so he pulled over to avoid damage to his baby.
He then called me to tell me that he needed help which I agreed I would help, he called AAA next and told them he needed a toe from Irvine, Ca back to our area. When the toe truck driver got there he toed his car to a shop in seal beach which is just around 5 miles from the house. When they got there he called me around 11:30pm to come pick him.
The car was taken to Automotive Excellence on PCH in Seal Beach, CA. When I realized this I told my son Levon, hey I’ve met this guy his name is Andrew. When I use to work for a smog shop in Los Alamitos, Ca we smog many of the cars for his customers and he seemed like a very honest and professional guy my how things change. My son asked me if in the morning when they opened if I could take him down there to find out how much it would cost.
Saturday morning we arrived at his shop and Andrew was there so I went up to him and started talking to him, we then went over to my sons car, showed him the caliper. Andrew said not a problem this is simple he quoted my son about $ 272 and some change. We felt good about that as my son works very hard but doesn’t make much working for Chick-​Fil-​A.
2 weeks prior my son who has been saving his money to get his vehicle painted had a custom paint job done on his car, looks really nice. His car has ground effects on it which makes it look really cool. When we took the car in it had No Damage to the body. But when the job was finished that wasn’t the case.
I thought hay no problem Andrew is a business owner who promises and guarantees his work? If he damaged the car he’ll make things right! Well it just goes to show you when the chips are down the real person comes out. He then tried to tell us that it was the painters fault for doing such a crappy job and just gluing it on, Funny thing is the painter never took the part off the car to paint them. They’ve been on the car for 10 years.
When he hoisted the car he hit the part with so much force it broke it and knocked it off, then instead of doing the right thing tried to blame it on someone else. I know accidents happen simply fix it no problem we’re good. He refused to not only fix it but told us go have it fixed you’ll be fine. I asked him if he had business insurance, he said yes. I said great that’s what insurance is for in case things like this happen so no big deal. He again said No not going to happen.
Now I’m a business owner myself and I take a special interest in customer satisfaction, if something isn’t right I fix it plain and simple. I even state and uphold a 100% Unconditional Guarantee and make it a priority. That’s just good business and even more just flat out the right thing to do period.
Look I could go on and on about this crazy and flat out injustice.
But my main issue is that for your sake I want to make sure that honest people looking for honest business’s don’t get taken by dishonest business owners. This kind of business isn’t good for the hard working people or people period who put their trust and hard earned cash to get good service from a business then get screwed because of business’s mistake.
When you take a car in to get it fixed for $ 272 and come out with $ 1,000+ damage that’s just wrong.
We have a recording of the whole thing that my son recorded. When the guy started talking about it was someone else’s fault he started a recording on his phone and stuck it in his pocket. Here’s the recording.
He tried to convince us how honest he is, but really he was trying to convince himself.
Don’t take your car here if you don’t want it damaged and left with the bill for his negligence!!! It’s sad what people think they can get away with when they think no one can hear them.

I have been using AE for my auto maintenance for years. Recently I brought my car in for some routine service, tires, etc. Peter called me and let me know that there were a few recall items and some warrantee items we should take care of at the dealer. They took my car to the dealer, handled all the details and returned my car. I thought this was the best level of service I could ask for. As it turned out, the dealer ended up denting my bumper that wasn’t noticed until we I picked it up last Friday night. Andrew Harris, the owner of Automotive Excellence, personally took care of the situation, called the dealer, got it fixed in 3 days, and returned my car better than when I dropped it off. I love AE and the employees. They really care about their clients and will go out of their way to take care of you and your car.

My truck has been towed for the last two Weks, each time is was an associate from this garage. These guys are the nicest and the most helpful. I have has my truck towed every where except this garage and never have they questioned why I don’t just go to their garage. Alvin came by and got my truck over to Ervin’s in Huntington! These guys know their s*** and I highly recommend them…,

These guys do a great job — my wife’s car, my daughters car, my car — they handle all of them. Everyone treats you well — from the drivers to the mechanics to the guys in the office. Nice place to do business.

These guys are amazing! I was sent to them by a friend who has used them for 10 years. They went way beyond my expectations! I will never take my car to another mechanic! The office is clean and organized. The staff is super professional and are a really great group of people. And me being a woman who knows NOTHING about cars, I did not once feel worried about being taken advantage of. They did everything in their power to do the work my car needed without charging me an arm and a leg. So happy I found them!

Automotive excellence is the cream of the crop! My car is an old girl and they keep her running like new. I drive almost an hour away for my car to see these fine gentlemen because their service just cannot be beat. I’ve tried other mechanics just because I’ve moved away and it is sometimes a hassle to get over there, but it’s always been a mistake. Everyone knows it’s super hard to find an honest auto shop, but that’s what these guys are. They are so professional, kind, and even funny. They know their repeat customers and print your paperwork for you as soon as you park! Makes me feel like a superstar. :)
The shop itself is always kept clean, they have seating if you chose to sit and wait, and they are only a three minute walk to Main Street where there is array of stores and restaurants you can spend your time at, not to mention the beach!
Do yourself and your car a favor and visit this place for your next car need! They will never cheat you at Automotive Excellence and they are vehicle geniuses! They can fix just about anything!

I needed an oil change badly and called around to see if someone can take me which I know Fridays can be a little tough. The guys were friendly and fast. They were able to squeeze me in, and I was in and out in about an hour. I would definitely recommend this shop!

I came here because of the reviews.
Place is very convenient and is always busy. I stopped to ask about my side mirror. Someone helped me right away. He looked, called his supplier while we were outside and then quoted the price.
Price was very reasonable and he could do the next day– 45 min. Great!
I dropped the car at the set time and was back in 45. All done. Easy peasy.
They have my business. No hassle or stress.

My dad recommended me to this place when I got a puncture in my tire on the way up to Orange County. The guys were very nice, clean cut, well mannered, and prompt. It looked like a busy day but they ushered me in, patched my tire, and got me rolling again in about 20 minutes. I think it cost me like $ 10, something super cheap.
I give them 4 stars because my sensor went off a few days later. I think there may have been two leaks in the same tire, and they only caught the one. Or I could just have bad luck and got another puncture in the same tire a few days later. Since there’s no way to confirm, they get a solid 4 stars.
I would go here again if I lived in OC, but I don’t.
