Bahia Marine Hardware & Rigging

My main halyard had worn through at deck level– Todd with Bahia Marine expertly replaced it on my 1973 Cal 25. This good old boat is new to me so I also requested a survey to check on the rest of the rigging– and indeed this review was detailed, comprehensive and very fairly priced — and was pleased to get good news!

Todd and his son were punctual, professional and courteous. They tuned the whole boat’s rigging efficiently and explained the process as they went, and gave me some helpful tips for keeping my standing rigging in good shape. Their price was excellent. We will definitely be calling them for the next tune-​up, and perhaps some sails as well.

We’ve used and recommended Bahia Marine for projects ranging from a simple rig inspection to a complete re-​rig. The work has been done to a high standard and completed on schedule and on budget. This is a rarity in the marine industry.

Todd and Nancy are both lovely people to work with. Todd did a rigging survey which was detailed, comprehensive and very fairly priced. He later replaced a halyard sheave after having a new one fabricated. Extremely knowledgable and helpful, I recommend Bahia for sailboat rigging.

Thank you, Todd & Nancy, for hooking up Seasters, a Cal 31′ sloop, with some really nice new Quantum Performance Crusising sails! During the test sail, I was impressed with how well we moved in light wind with just the mainsail up as compared with the old sails!
Todd was fast & terrific in rigging the extra reef and also helped me with some sage advice for trimming the new sails that only experience can give! Thank you, Todd!
The sails were completed & installed just like I was told, they look terrific and work well in light air, with Seasters sailing at six knots! But maybe, most importantly, the new, and high quality sails offer smoother and more predictable sailing then the older sails-​thus, more safety. Safety is number one, so after that, we can all have fun!
