I chose Shannon Jones to sell my Long Beach home based on my neighbors’ recommendation (she had sold their home and also represented them for the purchase of their new home) and my follow-​up research of her background/​education and her high ratings on review sites. After contacting her she met me at my home within a couple of days. She presented a comprehensive market analysis which made it easy to agree on a listing price. She was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. I felt very confident that I could not have made a better choice! The next day she and her Team (aka The Shannon Jones Team) immediately got to work to showcase the property in the best possible way. They recommended a fabulous stager, helped with finding people to landscape the property’s border planting beds and provided a superb professional photographer. I was very impressed with the high quality of the marketing brochure that was produced… my home looked wonderful! The Team kept in contact with me throughout the process and I felt that I could call or email any time and would get an immediate response. The house was listed on every real estate website imaginable and within a week there were seven strong offers with several over asking price. That was it! An offer was accepted and the house was in escrow! Throughout the escrow Shannon Jones and her Team made it as easy a process as possible! I’m a returning client after buying our first home with the Shannon Jones Team. When it was time to sell our home we couldn’t think of anyone else to trust other than Shannon Jones Team. It was our first time selling but we were impressed after seeing Shannon’s presentation of local houses sold in the area and how we can sell ours quicker at the price we ask. She had the best photographer that took professional pictures of our home. Within a week we had multiple offers. She gave us updates and a summary report on a weekly basis as requested. If any issues emerged, her team would contact us asap. Shannon would continue to work and meet our deadline even when she got a cold, so thankful for the team’s effort in meeting the deadline we requested and taking care of all the paperwork for us.

I had the misfortune of buying a home that Shannon represented and it was a thoroughly unprofessional transaction. The house was priced fairly for the area but not most desirably situated, and I made an appropriate offer for the market. She responded that they had multiple offers, despite the fact the property had been on the market 9 months. Not in the client’s best interested. They finally made an acceptable counter-​offer and the home inspection showed damage to the foundation. She did not want to adjust for the corrections and only did once she realized I was now looking at alternate properties. Escrow finally closed and when I took possession of the home, her client had allowed the cats to urinate all over the house and left a loaded catbox on the top floor. Shannon left her sign in front for a couple of weeks despite my calls, and I finally had to throw it out. A thoroughly ghetto experience.

We were selling a second property in a short sale and needed some hand holding through the process. I’m taking this time to endorse Shannon and her team because I have had a unique vantage point. I have done business with her for well over a decade, and have been in the Real Estate business on various levels for over 18 years. Now, I’m a full time investor /​landlord, and STILL a client of the Shannon Jones Team.
For most of us, buying a home is the largest investment we will ever make. This is the biggest reason to find the right person. Therefore (as a full time investor) I recommend NOT working with your hairdresser, coworker, or some acquaintance just because they have a Real Estate license and do it on the side; I’d find the Agent that knows the most about the investment you are about to make. Shannon Jones help me find my first home. I went through 4 realtors before finding her and I’m so grateful that I found her. When it comes to sales, most sales people are just thinking about turning a profit without concern for your needs and wants. Shannon is different. She cares and has your best interest at heart! She actually talked me OUT of buying some condos because what I didn’t notice, she pointed out – mold smell, lack of dining area, etc. Also, she always returned emails and phone calls right away. Who does that? Shannon Jones does! If I buy another home or sell mine, she’s my gal and I’ll recommend her to all of my friends. What can I say, Shannon rocks. After nearly a year with another realtor in LA who had to be chased down, was never available, never sent new properties and on rare occasion actually showed up to show houses (as opposed to telling us to just go to open houses) seemed as if he was more interested in evaluating properties for his own side business flipping homes, Shannon was a welcome reprieve.
My girl and I are both extremely busy professionals with very little free time and Shannon made the whole process easy for us. She was able to work around our crazy schedules to show us properties in the evenings and on weekends, was a fountain of knowledge about the Long Beach areas and offered great advice. She was always available by phone or SMS and was very proactive in finding properties for us. When we got into the offer stage, she was aggressive and a queen of follow up. We bid on a house where the other realtor was terrible and the seller had yet to come to terms with the degradation of the housing market and subsequent affect on prices, and Shannon actually sat down with both of them to walk through the offers, comps and justification.
