Horrible customer service. Empty store with no customers except me. Didn’t catch her name but she was a chubby blonde in guest services. Lazy employees unwilling to help especially the blonde. Won’t be coming back to this location. Need some costumer service classes at this store!

Crappy Customer Service, crappy store policies, waited in the customer service line two times over the gift card policy.

Horrible customer service.
This store isn’t laid out like a typical Toys r Us since it’s actually Babies r Us merged in also, so it’s not as easy to find things if you’re familiar with most Toys r Us stores.
So I go in the other night after being sent here from the Huntington Beach «R» Us store telling me the Seal Beach location has FIVE Chocolate Pens in-​stock. And I get here in 10 minutes and take a quick peek on the shelf don’t see any and go ask a manager. So while he looks like he’s actually doing something on the computer for 5 minutes he then tells me, ummm this computer isn’t working I have to go check another one. He leaves and goes into a door and doesn’t come out for another 10 – 15 minutes, and all this time I’m just standing there and then he finally comes out and says, yeah it looks like there are no more Chocolate Pens. I just look at him with disgust because I don’t know who looks like the bigger dumb ass, him or me.
FYI — I got my Chocolate Pen the next day at TARGET, their app tells you what they have in stock and exactly where to find it in their store.

To start with, I don’t know why this store has two and a half stars. It should be at least 4 stars. I love this store! This is my favorite toysrus store. It is always clean, bright, and organized. In addition, the crews have been very friendly and helpful. I’ve done price match, full refund/​return, exchange, they looked for my toy (s) in the store/​back storage basically tore it inside out to find my items, had them order stuff online shipped to store and they even shipped it to my home and waived the shipping fee. I couldn’t ask for more! I hope they will continue their great service for years to come.

This is my favorite toy r us! I love going here because they always have what I’m looking for! I came here yesterday and there was a girl named Brenda helping me on the floor and she was so sweet and just beyond helpful!

Started shopping there, on the baby side, a few months back. Got most of our new born items here, and still getting her clothing as well. Everyone working there is always nice, they always ask how the baby is doing. The prices are a bit high, but it’s good quality, and it’s convenient. Nice experience

This is my favorite Toys R Us. Clean, bright, and service… well, no you´re talking about Toys R Us right? But quite actually service wise, it´s way better than Wally´s World!
We always come here when they have the Lego Build. They are organized and the line is usually manageable unlike the Cerritos store. Check out more events on their facebook page.
I don´t know what else to add except for the store is not as messy as others, not as loud as others, and they have Prego Mommy Parking in the front.
The negative reviews here that has no pictures are mostly fake.

Most of the prices are retail. A simple Amazon search could literally save you 20%-30%.
When will big box retailers learn that they are just showcasing the product but not getting the sale from their efforts?
Toys R Us needs an online retailer price match Guarantee to compete properly or will be doomed like most brick n mortar businesses

I generally like coming here because Cerritos is further from my home and even thought their selection is limited. I was there when they opened this morning to buy a few things and I needed help finding a cup. I asked if they could show me where to go exactly and they just said aisle 7. Thy had just opened and weren’t doing anything but standing around. Really disappointed at their customer service. The girl asking for help for me was sweet but the others were awful.

The Toys r us in Seal Beach/​Rossmoor is so big and clean and nice. I have gone to the Cerritos one for ever and it is always a mess and they never have what I’m looking for. Seal Beach one is always fully stocked and clean and the workers are nice. For a big chain this is the best one to go to.

We come here all the time to buy gifts for baby showers. It is very easy to find gifts that are in the registery and usually the staff is super nice but last time we went the staff was scarce and not helpful. There were 5 staff memebers just standing around while we waited in 1 line behind 3 other customers and none of the staff members offered to take us or open another register!!!

I didn’t give them 5 stars because:
1. They didn’t have my item in stock so I had to drive to another store
2. I wish they had as a generous coupon policy as places like Bed Bath and Beyond. We were only able to use one or the other
3. I was only able to use my 10% off an item when I completed my registry but when people were buying things, stores didn’t update my registry (their computers or printers were down) and so it looked as if I never finished my registry
I did give them 4 stars because one of their team members, Clayton, helped me immensely today when I needed to return a travel system and get a price adjustment. I assumed it would be more difficult than it was and he really worked hard to understand what I wanted and make it happen. He was friendly and personable as we finished the transaction. When the computer didn’t look like it was going to take option one, he offered me option two. I appreciate when workers offer a solution instead of standing there staring at you.

I was there last week and it was total chaos. I’m in line and waiting and waiting. I’m now next. The gal at the customer service desk says «I can help you over here» I leave the line and go to the customer service desk and she leaves. She’s looking for an extended warranty form and no one knows where they are. Now all 3 people in the previous line that were BEHIND me have been checked out and are gone. I’m still standing there trying to pay. I put the item down and was walking out. I stopped the manager and told her waht happened. Instead of offering to help me, she said ‘I’ll talk to her” I will never shop here again.

Worst customer service! I love the location. Clean store but the cashier employee is lazy. There is no line in the cashier &
ready to pay for my daughters toys. I asked nicely if they have any recent coupons because I left mine at home. She was so lazy & say No not here in my register. Do you have any on your customer service area? She said No & did not bother to check at all. So I decided to walk to the customer service & ask for any coupons. The nice man handed me one, I was persistent that they have coupons. She was lazy to call or walk. & ask another staff member. Did not smile or even say thank you. She is in the wrong line if business.

This review is purely for their baby registry.
I walked the store with my mom and added items to my registry. The most appealing factor is that you can add, change or delete items online from home. TRU/​BRU has a much more extensive selection online than they do in store.
After my first shower I received 3 diaper genies, 4 thermometers, and a couple other items of which I received multiples. I organized everything and went to customer service to exchange these items and discovered some of them were STILL listed on my registry. My stroller and a few big items that I had also received were still listed as well.
The manager suggested I leave the registry as is so I could exchange these items later– um, I’m having a baby in a few weeks. How much free time do you really think I’m going to have? I realize you want to keep the sales in store, but this was ridiculous.

I liked the idea of a Toys R Us opening near my home, but I find that I’m not shopping here as much as I thought I would.
PROS: selection, neat/​clean/​organized
CONS: expensive (everything I’ve wanted to buy has been less at Target, Walmart, & Amazon)
sales staff ignore you — I can walk the entire store without anyone saying «hello»
store is HOT — are they trying to save on their electric bill? very uncomfortable
slow cashiers

I called this location several times today to ask about an item to see if they had it in stock. This location was the closest one to where I was at and did not want to drive if the item would be unavailable. I was on hold for 10+ minutes before an female employee picked up the phone and said «would you mind holding for a moment» and stuck me back on hold (for another 10 minutes or more) before I could even tell her that YES I DO MIND that you’re going to ignore my phone call for another 30 minutes. You’re losing business with horrible service, the fact that the majority of reviews for his place are one star is not shocking. Definitely lost out on a couple pricey videogames I was planning on purchasing. Lame.

Ecch, whatever. It’s a Toys R Us-​slash-​Babies R Us. Didn’t feel the same as when I was a kid. Like a Big Box Best Buy version of what I remember. But as they say, «put away childish things». Or something.
It’s clean, which is always a plus when children are present. Service was ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. For the longest time, I didn’t see anyone on the floor, but once I found an employee they were pretty helpful. My only real complaint is that an item listed on a gift registry wasn’t in stock, even though their records indicated otherwise. Luckily the sales associate tracked it down at another location. But I would’ve been nice to avoid a second trip altogether. And some of their other merchandise I was looking for was in stock, but buried in the back. For a store this size, I’m surprised they don’t have everything represented on the sales floor.

How does the saying go? «I don’t wanna grow up, I just wanna be a kid»??? This place wanted to make me grow up. It may have been due to the fact that it was connected to a Baby’s R Us. I was pretty bummed out, the coloring book section was terrible (how is that possible in toy store?), board games were whatever, they did have some cool pow-​pow-​power wheels (that’s what they were called when I was a kid). A Cadillac with some rims, the usual Corvette and a Mini Cooper. It took a while to check out because they only had one checker running returns and checking at the same time. It was an interesting experience I could have skipped, next time I will probably just go to Target across the street.
They do have video games for the gamer’s, so do not be thrown off by all the baby clothes.
