Description

Specialties

Coastal Café and Bakery features a full breakfast (served until 11AM) and lunch menu, always updated on this website. Our Restaurant opens at 7AM — 7 Days a Week. We close at 3PM Sunday-Thursday, and 4PM Friday & Saturday. Our menu varies with the seasons, and with what is locally available for purchase. We believe in supporting local companies and do business with many of Maine’s great food suppliers and producers. We feature scratch, old world, baking with bagels and pastries fresh daily, as well as, artisanal bread, hand shaped and baked 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday, and Saturdays).

Coastal Café and Bakery is located in Historic Downtown Searsport, just a short walk from Mosman Park and the Searsport Dock. Searsport is located just 6 miles north of Belfast, at the far northern tip of the pristine Penobscot Bay. Our restaurant and bakery serves made-from-scratch pastries, including in-house Croissants and Fresh Bread (our personal favorite is the blueberry-ginger!) We also have baguettes baked fresh daily, with other breads available throughout the week. We are a small café/restaurant and as such both owners work in house, so you can be assured that every item that leaves our place is under strict quality control. We prepare our items from scratch, daily. We are best known for our house cooked Corned Beef, Fresh baked french toast, and an eye on the care of each meal prepared.

Meet the Business Owner

Patrick and Celine K.

Business Owner

Patrick grew up in central Illinois, and has over 10 years of experience in foodservice, as a chef, a manager, and a baker. He spent 4 years as a restaurant consultant in downtown Seattle, and has been chef de cuisine of multiple restaurants. He is the culinary vision behind Coastal Café and bakery and there is not a thing in the café that Patrick has not laid hands to personally. He takes great pride and satisfaction in creating food for the soul.

Celine grew up on Bainbridge Island in Washington State. Specializing in hospitality and customer service, she runs the front of house, serving our customers smiles, drinks, great food, and baked goods on a daily basis. She is also an incredible fiber arts designer and many of her personal designs and knitted items are for sale around our small café.
