We were there when nobody else was and felt unwanted by the lone uninterested — un customer friendly-college kid-probably wishing he was elsewhere while he spent his time texting for most of our time there. We still gave the guy a tip though he looked like it really doesnt matter –then I felt like a fool– but we always tip. The service was drab and unfriendly and the ice creams unspectacular tasting and skimpy and not worth what we ordered. I had hot fudge sundae and it was sad. with barely warm fudge and some ice chips in the ice cream– what was that stale or just freezer burned? We felt overpriced on a dead night and all we can say is we gave the place a chance ONLY because Charlies was closed. Well never again for this place. NOTHANKS! You want good ice cream and a better atmosphere –go to Charlies!

After leaving Island Beach State Park, I wanted to stop for a little bit of ice cream. Hot day = perfect time for ice cream… actually, any time is the perfect time for ice cream in my opinion! Used Unilocal and Google Maps to search what was on the way home and this was the easiest place to get to before we got on the bridge. It wasn’t too hard to find parking, there is the lots in the middle or right in front of the store you can park for an hour — easy peasy lemon squeezy. There is outdoor seating in the shade(good call Sundae Times!) and lots of seating available inside. The décor is, well, lacking. Considering this is an ice cream store, I assumed it would have more fun and bright colors but it did lack some ice cream parlor feel. It didn’t really bother me though. The ice cream. Lots and lots of hard ice cream flavors to choose from. I wasn’t interested in soft serve so I don’t know if they have any, I saw a machine for it but I can’t confirm it’s being used. Wafer and sugar cones available with a few dry topping choices. I went with a small cone of banana and chocolate and it was perfect for what I was craving; really hit the spot. My +1 ordered the espresso chip and enjoyed it. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and patient with us in our hard decision making. She gives a good amount on samples so I suggest trying something! I think it could be cleaner and more fun but I liked the ice cream and it made me happy on my way out!

Went in for soft serve ice cream and had already shut it down before closing. Rude and pushy to get our group of twelve out of there with 15 minutes until closing… Awful, have gone for years but won’t be back anymore.

The ice cream here is good as were the prices. Not a huge selection but decent enough. They have waffle cones(yay) but NOSOFTSERVE! My little one likes soft serve but she wound up getting hand dipped birthday cake ice cream. The staff was very friendly and generous with their scoops. This place would be great if they added a few warm touches to the place. It was clean but very blah. Cash only!

Whenever we stay at seaside park we always go here for ice cream(no fat free yogurts here). The people that work there seem like college students, nevertheless they are attentive and welcoming. To receive a higher rating this place needs to add some nice lighting, change the furniture and clean up a bit. Otherwise if you just want to stop somewhere for some good tasting old fashioned ice cream with no frills it’s a good place. I noticed that Charlie’s homemade ice cream which is about a ½ mile south on the same side of the road seemed much more crowded. Most likely it’s related to the points I mentioned above but we’ll stop in and try some of their offerings later this week…

This place was great! The staff was friendly and the ice cream was delish! They just renovated since Hurricane Sandy, so everything was very clean and new. I would definitely recommend this cute little ice cream shop.

This used to be a good shop many years ago but it has fallen into disrepair. It doesn’t appear to have been cleaned in years. Really gross — Try Charlie’s at 8th ave instead

A good old fashioned ice cream parlor. They have a good selection of flavors. The staff is friendly and efficient. The biggest problem is finding a place to park on a sunny summer weekend day. A good stop for ice cream.

More like the Mundane times. The ice-creamery offered limited and conventional flavors. We also tried a milk shake that was too milky. Added a star because the staff was friendly, Definitely better ice cream alternatives down the Jersey shore.
