History
Established in 1994.
The CSU Monterey Bay campus is on the former Fort Ord Army Base, which has some perks. For example, the residence hall rooms are much bigger than average because they are in remodeled officers quarters. In keeping with our green philosophy, we’ve reused whenever possible, so you’ll find many bits and pieces of this history all over campus — unique and surprising reminders of Monterey Bay’s military past.
