The customer service in the parts department was just ok. I felt rushed when trying to ask for parts.
Parts are in limited supply. But whats great is that they can get parts for you the next day.
Lady in front of me complained about service charges and from the stories I heard about this place, don’t service your car here. Manager came to help and instead of taking her into a private room, he felt the need to just handle it in the main area. Lets just say things got loud. lolz
3 stars because I got my part in the next day.

Horrible. Seriously like the most shady, awful business I’ve ever seen. They are awful con artists and I’m going to JAG. I really regret our purchase, I will never buy another car from them again.

I would not recommend Nissan Cardinale dealership to no anyone! they have there employees well trained, they don’t disclose fees! Unfriendly staff, especially the old lady at the cashier. No skills in customer service at all! Very disappointed.

Wow plenty of bad reviews as Jason stated. Not good for business. I saw the reviews and went in anyways just to check out something a little more fuel efficient compared to the suv I was commuting to work in. Its a business they aren’t going to just give out great deals left and right. Seems like I trade in and or buy a car every year or two for the last decade. Anyways it was a Sunday morning not too busy. Me and my dad both were looking to buy a new car. So I test drove it seemed nice and drove nice. like all new cars do. The salesman was very friendly but not the most knowledgeable no big deal though he did fine and so we agreed on a trade in price for my suv and a decent deal on the new car considering they were going to sell 2 cars. Within a couple hours I was on my way to work in the new car and my dad ended up buying his a couple weeks later. He got a couple free oil changes but I wasn’t offered that didn’t even get it detailed lol.
As far as their service department. I haven’t been there for service in a few years but I remember the service department was good and finished work in reasonable time. I would go there because the service for my old Infiniti was considerably cheaper than the service at the Infiniti dealer across town for basically the same techs and parts. So if you got an Infiniti save some cash and take it to a nissan dealer lol.

worst service and experience ever! over charge me for a diagnostic they charge me for 2 diagnostic in one single visit!!! then after $ 600 dollar’s my car was the same when I try to talk to the service manager he was so rude he tell me my ECM (computer)was on short but after $ 1800 they can’t warranty that’s the problem on the car! WTF!!! he kick me out literally because he can’t give me any answers like «what is gonna happen if after $ 1800 bucks my car is not fix» he just reply I’m not gonna play that game whit you!!! WTF !!! game??? I Left so upset .Don’t trust them!! the worse of the worse people!!!

This place deserves zero stars. They’re slimy and shady. They also send me spam letters in the US Mail! Which a few of the other reviewers have pointed out too. I would not trust a place that has business practices like these.

Update: today we sold the POS car we bought from these jerks a few years ago. When we had it appraised, we discovered a bad CARFAX report (bad on us for not checking that BEFORE buying, lesson learned to spend the $ 20 for our own report rather than take their word for it) and that Cardinale had NOT disclosed that our car had ever been in an accident. So it was worth a LOT less than we thought as a trade-​in. The (much better, yay!) dealer we bought from today said the Cardinale dealership could actually get in legal trouble for not disclosing that to us (I think his exact words were «those guys should go to jail for that»). So… yeah, if I could give zero or even negative stars I would. Run away. Run far away and DO NOT BUY HERE!!! They are the shining example of every single bad stereotype about car salesmen.

Would give zero stars if possible — incredibly rude and when I asked for a card, it informed me that the person rude to me was a supervisor! All I was trying to do was get my oil changed and all of a sudden it’s like I’m in the hot seat about services and prices from the past. Wrote a detailed email to the general manager — nothing… not a peep. Needless to say I haven’t and won’t be back. Any other Nissan shop will be getting all my business.

I can’t say how disappointed I am with this place. I felt mislead and lies to. I came down here to seaside all the way from San Jose to pick up an acura tsx that I’ve wanted for a long time. Because it was such an inconvenient drive I expected to get my car with ease, no problems and conflicts. I was originally scheduled to meet at 2 but they told me to come later because unfortunately they were «detailing» my car. When I got there I was still waiting for almost 45 minutes because they were still detailing my car. While waiting, I was talking to John about the car. I asked him if there was any problems to the car and he said that all their cars are certifies pretty owned and that every car has been through full inspection. If anything needed to be fixed or replace it would be. I took his word.
When the car was done being «detailed,» I finally got to take a look at it. When I fully and thoroughly inspected the car I lots kg stains on the paint. In the interior there were stains of food or ketchup on the floor, seats were ripped up and leather looked so poor. They spent the last 1.5 hours detailing the car? Really? I had to tell them to clean the car and even asked them to fix the Rip. John told me just to go to acura. Are you serious? Am I buying the car from them? No. I’m buying it from you so I expect nothing but excellent service which I wasn’t getting. It seems like they were just rushing to get through with the sale. I felt uncomfortable throughout the whole transaction.
Not only that, they don’t even give me an extra keyfob for my car. They have me this almost busted up keyfob that I’m so unhappy with. What if I lose my keys? What other sulpose to do then?
Also, one more thing that makes me so made is that the battery is dead! I only had the car for 3 days and didn’t even drive it yet. I wanted to take my new car to work today and my car didn’t even turn on. Oh and to make things worst I was late for work and had to have my CO worker pick me up. Are you seriously kidding me (john and ken)? You said this car was certified pretty owned and that if anything needs to be replaced it would be. Clearly the battery is dead. My car won’t turn on.
I’m so dissapointed at the quality of service they have there at cardinale. And what’s worst, I have to drive all the way there to get service.

The staff is terrible. The only person that was a good and decent person quit, and everything went down hill after he left. Instead of admitting that they were short staffed and not properly trained to do the job, they did it anyways for the money and it was the longest process of our. They came up with excuse after excuse after lie for why things weren’t getting done. I will not go back, I will not recommend them to anyone, and even the experience at the VW dealer in salinas was terrible. Either Cardinale doesn’t train their staff well or they hire terrible people.

They deserve no stars! I shouldn’t have bought my car from Joe. He’s a complete asshole. Promised me that my car would be detailed after purchasing it. I took it there twice because both times they didn’t detail it. They just vacuumed it and washed the outside. There was dust and marks all over the inside still. They had my car all day to detail it but it never happened. I even spoke to the higher ups and they didn’t even take care of it. I never took my car back. If you have them check your car for maintenance, take a man with you and stay there and watch if they take care of your car and do their job. I’m never going to buy another car from them again. I thought they would care for my business since my family had bought so many nissans from them but I would say San Jose would be the worth while rather than this crook ass place!!!
UPDATE: 6÷23÷2015 took my car in for an oil change and always remind them that I have a maintenance package which should cover the major things at 30,000 miles… REMEMBER PEOPLE I PAID INTO THE PACKAGE TO HAVE ALOT OF THINGS COVERED… only to hear «No, your maintenance package only covers oil changes and filters». Then why the hell did I purchase that crap if I was told the major things will be covered and if it was only oil changes thats a fucking rip off because my dad can do a damn oil change for $ 20. Its just an on going problem with this fucked up place and its stressful. A big purchase like this was suppose to be the best decision but its a never ending nightmare now. PLEASE EVERYONE, SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS PLACE BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT… I WILL FIGHT THEM FOR MY MAINTENANCE PACKAGE OR TAKE LEGAL ACTION BECAUSE THIS BUSINESS IS ALL ABOUT FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY…

Today I went into the service center with an issue with my nissan altima. The guys at the service center were able to help diagnose my issue and fix it immediately. The guys in there are fast and knowledgable. With a baby it was great to have my car fixed sooner than I expected. And Kenny is an amazing and great guy who took the time to help me out! Thank you nissan cardinale!

If you know exactly what vehicle that you want, don’t go here. We went on their website, selected the vehicle we wanted. Confirmed it was at their location and went in to purchase it. Should have been a very quick and easy sale. NO! They refused to show us the vehicle we wanted and would only show us trucks that were twice the size and price that we wanted. They asked what things were a definite NO from us, and then only showed vehicles that met that description. Really??? They insisted that I test drive a VERY large Red truck that I told them I had absolutely no interest in and would under no circumstances purchase. I test drove it to shut them up, hated it as I knew I would. They then tried to sell me it. I said no countless times, so they went to my husband to try to have him convince me, telling him «Just tell her it will grow on her and she’ll love it.» Really!!! Are you kidding me. At this point I was disgusted beyond belief. They still tried to pressure me into this ugly red truck that was four times the price we were willing to pay. Finally after about four awful vehicles (I kept hoping they would pull out the one we knew they had that we wanted) we left, Three hours later, irritated, truckless, and three hours wasted. Leaving wasn’t the end of it. Numerous phone calls, after specifically telling them to stop calling, and emails with great offers.
The next day we went to Sal’s Auto on Fremont. Saw the vehicle we wanted, went in, test drove, signed the papers that day. All of maybe an hour total and we left happier than can be.

I’ve read some of the recent reviews and we had the complete opposite experience. I was told that the staff had been changed since the last year (due to complaints) and maybe that was the difference. We worked with two dealers. Steve (one of the dealers) was wonderful. My daughter and I came in for a test drive. Both were patient and not pushy at all. I can’t remember the other guys name. I told them I liked the car but my husband would have to have the final say and had to come in and test drive it himself. Steve stayed open late so my husband could come in. We bought the car, great deal. They listened to our needs and accommodated us. I would go back again and recommend my friends go to.

Three words: Horrible, Unethical, Slimy.
The 1 star will go to the sales person Kevin, who did his best to apologize for the sales managers.
Drove 1 hr in heavy traffic from Scotts Valley to purchase in cash an advertised used car (saw ad on their website).
When I arrived they said the price input was a mistake (clerical error) and they would sell it to me for $ 1000 more.
After my feedback about the unethical nature of this they finally agreed, after «phone calls to the owner» to sell the car for the price listed on their website.
I left anyway. I;d rather lose 3 hours of my day.
This is the prototypical cheesy, «let me ask my manager» type of dealer ship that basically makes everyone despise car dealerships.
Way too many choices in the Bay area. Shop elsewhere is my advice.

I emailed their internet sales department about a Frontier I was interested in. I didn’t hear back so decided to call. «John» answered. I told him I had a question about a Frontier. He replied, «yeah, what do you want.» I almost hung up. Seriously? That’s how you treat potential customers?
I told him my question and he said he would have to get back to me, they were getting ready to close.
So far, I am not impressed with this dealer.

This dealership is Shady with a capital S! I was looking for a Chevy Tahoe and A friend of mine recommended this company to me. At first I thought everything was fabulous about this place. Alphonso, our salesman, was awesome. Really nice guy and proactive. Long story short, he told us he had what we wanted, told him what we wanted to pay and they said they could make it happen. We drove from San Mateo to Monterey to see the vehicle and do the paperwork. The vehicle was a 2012 Chevy Tahoe LT with $ 26,000 miles on it. My sister got the same vehicle but an LTZ at a different dealer in the central valley, for around the same price out the door, so we thought the price was fair. I thought it could have gone a little less, considering it wasnt loaded, but i went with it. We negotiated for awhile and finally agreed to $ 36,236.91 out the door with taxes and other fees. I distinctly remember saying to Alphonso, «So that price is with everything?» .and before he could speak, Jason Hilker the finance guy that sits behind Alphonso, chimed in and said, «Yes, that is the total price with all the taxes and fees.» We went into the office with Jason to sign paper work. He was going over everything very fast telling us where to sign. I asked again, «So what is the total price out the door again?» He picked up the sales contract, and said «The total purchase price out the door is $ 36,236.91.» He put the paper down and my husband signed it… I wrote a downpayment check for $ 2,000. We left happy campers! Jason called a couple days later to tell us he had sold our loan to another bank because he wanted to get us a lower interest rate. He asked if we wanted to keep our payments the same by adding a warranty… I thought it was pretty shady so I took down the numbers he gave me and contacted my bank lady to see why the numbers he gave me seemed off. A few days later, I open the paper work I originally signed when I called to insure the vehicle and noticed on the sales contract that our total price out the door was actually $ 38,236.91. I immediately emailed Jason. He responded with «no where on my paperwork does it say $ 38,236.91. I sent him a reply detailing where it was on the paperwork and this was his reply email:

I got the new contract in the mail and nothing is changed… this is the shadiest business EVER! I just contacted my lawyer about what actions I should take… mind you, this is all over $ 2,000! He tried telling me I bought this car at cost… I told him all I wanted was the car for the price we agreed upon!!! I am sickened that he picked up the contract and pretended to read a sale price that wasnt even on the paper to begin with! That is why we signed it… didnt think that people would actually be so crooked and be ball face liars! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!
